   First time trying Salazar and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed chatting with both bartenders, plus the cocktails were excellent. Their Brussel Sprouts are unreal as was the brioche French toast. We will definitely be back again!

   Absolutely one of the best meals my wife and I have had in a long time. Creative, farm to table menu. Nice tight wine list. Great atmosphere. Inside was cozy & quaint. We sat outside at Al fresco tables in street and it was awesome. Service was impeccable. Server had great knowledge of menu, making some great recommendations. Food was delicious. Can't recommend this place more. We will make this a destination every time we are in Cincinnati.

   Wonderful experience. Made a reservation but at bar by mistake. Host changed for an outdoor table. Many thanks. Little oyster samdwich was amazing, small but great flavors. Chicken confit was equally good and the figs really added to the dish. Parisian gnocchi was so tasty, just right texture. White mousse for dessert was a perfect finish. The wine list had several good selections at a resonable price. Service was spot on, there when needed but gone when not needed. A big help in describing several menu items. Prices were very good for the quality. We have traveled extensively in Europe and Salazar is like a good continental restaurant but with inventive twists. Maybe not Michelin rated, but still worth a trip. Will add this to our list next time we visit Cincinnati.

   We celebrated our anniversary at Salazar. It was wonderful in all respects. They brought us some complimentary champagne, and also took a Polaroid photo of us seated at our table. Really nice gestures. Great server--perfectly attentive and present as needed, very knowledgeable about the menu and beverages. The flavors were really extraordinary.

   We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversay here and it was exceptional! We had drinks, appetizers, bread, main dish, wine, and dessert and all were excellent! The service was outstanding! (We actually took a selfie with our server Alex becaue they just made the whole experience even more special! ) We were surprised by the bartender with a complimentary glass of champagne for a celebratory toast, and Salazar also has a polaroid camera to provide us with a commemorative photo. Our first visit, but not our last!

    We went for an anniversary dinner and had a perfect time! Our server, Alex, was so friendly and helpful with explaining the menu and offering some vegan options for me.     First time at Salazar for Sunday brunch. Super service, delicious food and appreciated sitting outside on a gorgeous Spring day. We had the Fried Brussels Sprouts, French Toast & Roasted Pork Chilaquiles and all three were filing and tasted great.

    The food is EXQUISITE!!! All flavors blended perfectly. The service was fantastic; attentive without being intrusive. Also, the dishes come out of the kitchen so fast but we never felt rushed by the staff. The restaurant is small so it's tough to get a reservation, but it was well worth the wait; I made the reservation for a Saturday night a month and a half ago.

    I will never forget this birthday meal at Salazar. I came for the Parisian Gnocchi, which was exquisitely flavored and textured. Each bite was heaven in my mouth. I chose the special, morels stuffed with a ricotta and pea mixture, as an appetizer, having never had morels. They were so good. I love the attention to fine seasonal ingredients.     I'm never disappointed at Salazar's, and this time Chef himself was in the kitchen. (He has two other restaurants, including one currently nominated as a James Beard Best Restaurant.) We loved the evening's pasta special with rock shrimp, crunchy breadcrumbs and a creamy sauce with just the right amount of heat from chilies. A beef tartar appetizer was spectacular, as were the chocolate fry-pies for dessert. Great wine and cocktails, too. And bravo to our server, and for that matter, every server I've ever had here. Salazar seems to attract, train, and retain some of the best staff in the city.

    We have a consistently great experience any time we dine at Salazar. From the spring menu, we ordered the Parisian gnocchi accompanied by the spring vegetable feature for the night. The gnocchi were pillowy-soft and served as the perfect vessels for the rich, savory carrot butter sauce. The fresno chiles offered a brightness and acidity that helped balance out the bold, salty, and almost cheese-like flavors of the carrot butter. The spring vegetable feature for the night consisted of carrots and spring peas (lightly charred) dressed with a bold Middle Eastern spice blend and a delightful pepita crunch. For a spring menu, the flavors of our dishes were delightfully bold while still fresh and satisfying in this warming weather. Finally, for dessert we enjoyed the strawberry, white chocolate, and goat cheese mousse. The toasted white chocolate tidbits, the tender & fresh strawberries, and the mint garnish really pulled this dish together into a wonderful blend of flavors. The refreshing touch of mint and the subtle acidity of the strawberries helped balance out the richness of the lightly-sweetened goat cheese mousse and the decadence of the toasted white chocolate. Everything was wonderful about our experience, but the mousse was probably the most memorable dish for me this visit.

    Salazar is all about the flavor. The creamy carrot sauce surrounding the tender Parisian gnocchi was sublime, and the little fried oyster sandwich was better than the fried oysters we had in New Orleans. My Bruce Banner cocktail was the perfect Kentucky mule. Salazar is a first class restaurant with an easy ambiance. Our server Sophie was delightful. I can’t rave enough about this little gem!

    I hadn’t been back to Salazar since the pandemic started and it was as wonderful as I remembered it. Crispy Brussels sprouts and aioli were deliciously spicy.the potato gnocchi was extremely satisfying and I had enough to eat for leftovers for breakfast with an egg the next morning. My dinner mate had the falafel salad which was huge (more leftovers!) and the house made pita bread was the best we’ve had. Paired with a crisp white wine made for a perfect evening. Atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing.

    Waygu…? Stringy & tough. Sorry, if you’re presenting waygu, get the real stuff instead of the cross breed. Otherwise grind it up and make hamburgers.
