The food = A+
We had Lulo Wings, Queso Sticks, Coconut shrimp taco, & Churros. All of it was fresh and absolutely delicious.
Our waitress was the best!! (Cristina)
We can’t wait to come back!
Not a huge fan of Mexican food but enjoyed my first visit to the Salted Lime. Fresh guacamole (without cilantro) was very good, good consistency too. Nice happy hour with drink and small bite specials. Shared a variety taco plate (chicken/pork/shrimp) which was very good, included rice, beans, and sweet plantains. Also shared the chicken quesadilla, which was excellent. Definitely good for sharing. Good place to catch up with friends. Looking forward to next visit and outdoor seating in the warmer weather!
The tacos were good but it was so little food for an entree, two small tacos.
Nice time. Good food and good drinks. Reasonable prices.
Food was not that great, service was mediocre. Usually much better.
We went on a Tuesday at 4 PM so I can't comment on what the noise level / atmosphere would be like during the busy evening & weekends.
Fair prices. (Portions could be larger for the entrees.)
Overall, excellent food and highly recommended!
Overall very good , interior very cafeteria like? Not a cozy place at all. Food was very good and service was satisfactory
Interesting twist on Mexican cuisine with an extensive menu featuring many tasty small plate offerings as well as yummy cocktails.
Tyler is a terrific server . Listen to his suggestions . Best dish tonight was the coconut shrimp tacos . So so so good .
Salted Lime offers a menu with a limited variety of options. Their Margaritas are delicious. I would like to see them offer some of their past favorites (potato and chirizo appetizer) and a few more salad options. It is in a convenient location and fun for a large crowd.
The bar was very backed up and when we received our margaritas they tasted like straight salt. The food was just okay despite being hungry none of us finished our meals
The food was delicious.
Awesome service great margaritas...different mexican flair but will definitely go back. Great set up to meet and mingle with friends. Relax atmosphere.
We have been here several times, always sitting at the tables around the bar area; apparently there is a separate dining room in the back but we have never ventured there. Everything about Salted Lime is great. My only suggestion is that the menu isn’t totally designed around actual meals. Perhaps they are trying to do something different from other places, but I would have found it helpful to have more traditional options (e.g. 3 tacos with rice and beans on the side, a quesadilla with different options and sides, etc.) Our party loved the food but our biggest challenge was figuring out how to piece together a meal.
Food is great. Fresh, tasty and absolutely delicious!!
Overpriced restaurant with not too many options. We were looking for a restaurant with some authentic mexican cuisine, did not find too much options. Menu is similar to regular chipotle or Pancheros.
We had a wonderful time. The food and service was amazing. I will definitely be returning. My only suggestion is to know this is not your typical Mexican restaurant. I went in wanting fajitas and was at first disappointed. However, I went out of my comfort zone and ordered off the specials that evening and WOW was it amazing. I can't wait to go back. Even the drinks were fun. Great large bar!
The hospitality was phenomenal
Great food. Nice ambience! Definitely would come again!
Tyler, our waiter, was outstanding. However the pozole was a bit disappointing. Everything else was terrific.
Attentive service. Good food
Food good but a little pricy but very tasty. Special salsa was excellent. Coffee could have been hotter. And the sauce for the delicious churros was a little hard to dip/spread.
We had a really nice dinner at Salted Lime on a Saturday evening at 7 p.m. on February 1st. I was there with my wife and two daughters. The food was really good. Everyone had a different meal and we enjoyed a few appetizers. We did end up taking food home as there was plenty served.
We started with the Lulo Wings, the Cornbread Arepa and the Pork Belly Patacon. All three were really well prepared visually and they were all seasoned well and tasty. The wings are a bit sweet and spicy and the Cornbread Arepa had a great offset of sweet and savory with the jam and pear and the cheese. The pork belly was also a big hit and as I mentioned everything was plated beautifully.
Our mains were the Cuban Torta, the Smoked Brisket Torta, the Chicken & Bacon Torta and the Spicy Chicken Tinga. All were good. Everyone took home half of their meal as we all enjoyed some Yuca fries as well. I'd say the general reaction to all the food was really positive. We'll be back to enjoy more of this yummy food.
Delicious as always !
We really enjoyed everything about the Salted Lime. We have been here before and looked forward to our return visit - they certainly didn’t disappoint! The food, service, atmosphere was great. Wonderful addition to the many dining experiences Somerville offers. We look forward to our next visit.
Food itself is good but limited menu options. Drinks however are not done well. They seem to be premixed and bartenders don’t deviate.
We usually love the food here but it seems to have changed a little since they opened. The menu does change and we expect that but it seems to have not been for the better recently. The tacos used to be so good but just don’t seem the same lately. Appetizers and margaritas are always on point. My only real issue with this restaurant is they need to figure out whether they are “kid friendly” or not. Don’t beat around the bush. The first time I brought my son here the manager made it clear that they don’t “encourage” parents to bring their kids here. And this last visit I felt like we saw so many kids in the restaurant and when we asked for a high chair the hostess made a huge deal about including the kid in our reservation number and told us the high chairs are first come first serve even though we called to request one with our reservation. *they only have two high chairs for the whole restaurant by the way. We love coming here because there really isn’t good Mexican to choose from around here but I hope they add more variety to their menu and get it together with the kid situation.
They changed the menu so no more of my few favorite dishes so a little bit disappointed
First time at this restaurant and I would definitely return! The menu had so many lunch choices and our server was terrific. Lunch was delicious. The dining space is so spacious and the music was just the perfect addition to a most delicious lunch!
Ordered the steak salad. Seriously less then 1 ounce of shaved steak on my salad. 5 very little pieces. Will not need to go to this restaurant ever again.
Great food and excellent drinks.
We went for New Years dinner and enjoyed all of our dishes. Service was excellent and attentive.
Good experience having dinner at Salted Lime. Wait staff was courteous and polite. The cocktails were okay, but not outstanding. The food selection was good and the quality was high. Overall we had a nice evening and we would come back again
Waitstaff didn’t rush us and food was great!
Our second time visiting this restaurant and it was as impressive as the first
What a great dinner! We really enjoyed everything we had, especially the coconut shrimp tacos, homemade chips & guac and empanadas. Service was fantastic too. Wasn’t a big fan of the margarita - a bit too strong for my taste - but the food was fantastic. Definitely will return.
The perfect balance of creativity and approachability with an apparent focus on full and well-rounded flavor. Not one dish has ever disappointed.
The food and service was excellent. The noise level was quite high so that visiting with table mates was difficult. I would prefer a quieter atmosphere and lower music.
Tapas , 2-3 do the trick as these small plates are filled with a lot of flavor.
