The raw bar food was excellent. The steak tartar was amazing.
Don’t get the caviar dip or the fish sticks..... Fish sticks were 50%+ filler.
Service was very, very slow. Food and drinks came quickly once ordered., but it was challenging to order. With a 90 minute dining limit, reasonable efficient service is a necessity.
Lobster roll & clam chowder were the best I’ve ever had
Food, drinks and service was outstanding! We ate the lobster roll, lobster & waffle, and crab roll...absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!
First, so happy you opened for patio dining. Food was fantastic as always. Did take two hours to receive our three courses. Seemed that kitchen was a bit overwhelmed.
Top notch seafood dishes! I highly recommend.
Love the oyster, shrimp, sea urchin, torched salmon belly and the Cacio Lobster E Uni.
Very busy and understandable short-staffed because of the current situation. But, they are charging full price and that needs to consider. I would strongly advise you to eat outside, the inside lounge area is below sub-standard. I would not go back with the current setup.
Our server was new so he wasn’t very helpful with suggestions or questions about the menu, otherwise it would have been 5 stars across the board. Nonetheless, we had an incredible meal. Everything was fresh and they had so many unique options that it was a really fun experience. Would definitely recommend this place!
Amazing experience with our waiter Christiano! He ordered for us and did not fail every step of the way. Definitely be back!
It's only a 4 because of COVID19 limitations. This place is great!
A place like Saltie Girl should not have tables on the side walk/street with no decor, no light nor heat lamps while other patrons sitting on the patio have all of the above. When you drop hundreds on a meal, ambiance and patron experience matters and it clearly doesn’t to this restaurant.
The food was amazing. Such a fun night out!
This restaurant would be outstanding on all fronts, but for its rude Saturday hostess. I am not sure why the restaurant has him seating people every Saturday ruining bright and sunny days. But once you get past him, you will enjoy an awesome meal, great cocktails and an excellent wait staff, willing to help you regardless if you are his/her table or not. It still manages to be one of our favorite restaurants. I have tried not to interact with the host for that very reason, but he always manages to say something snotty every time.
Amazing time! Great dishes and cocktails, ask for Kristin if you go, she was the best waitress!
Very nice spot. Food was great
The food and service were both great—I’ve already recommended it several times.
I enjoyed my dinner at Saltie Girl, very nice staff. Inside seating a bit drab, its a bar. Also, the seafood tower price is very high, ask before you order. Some interesting and delicious items on the menu.
What an amazing dining experience. From service to food! Kristen, our server, was phenomenal. Her personality should be mimicked by all servers as Kristen offered her favorites dishes, answered all our menu questions and you could tell enjoyed working at Saltie Girl. The food was simply delicious. We had various small plates from oysters and tins to the snow crab toast and, of course, desserts made the the in-house pastry chef. Saltie Girl is a MUST when visiting Boston!!!! We will certainly recommend to everyone visiting from PA.
The lobster roll was the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Boston.
Fabulous night with friends...great food, drink and you just cant beat the setting! Tuna flatbread 10+!! Rolls 10+ Warm Spicy King Crab Roll 10+ Saltie Girl is absolutely Best of Boston!!
We were seated in the below-sidewalk area. There was a strong east wind early in the meal and we were more than a couple feet from the nearest heater. It was chilly but became more bearable later. Recommend asking for a table near the building, near a heater. Do order the bread ($4), as it is warm, toasted, buttered Iggy's--yum. Excellent chowder and wild bass entree. Nice to see that Saltie Girl has more room now, so reservations are easier.
From the host to our waitress, the service was amazing! Food was delicious as always and our waitress suggested a delicious wine to go with our food.
Saltie Girl is the best seafood spot on the entire East Coast. I recommend it to everyone that visits Boston.
The porch set up is nice, off the main road and has plenty of heating lamps.
This place was the worst. We ordered a $36 lobster roll that arrived covered in butter with a bag of potato chips on the side. Yes, a bag of potato chips with a $36 entree. The warm crab roll was slathered with mayonnaise and was two tiny pieces for $24. The service was inattentive yet arrogant. Horrible experience.
The food quality was sub-par. For a restaurant with the name “salty” in it, they needed more salt! For example, we ordered the fried scallops but felt the batter was tasteless, and frying the scallops in batter took away from the umami flavor that scallops naturally have. To top it off the majority of the dish was a pile of soggy fries. The star of the dish should have been the scallops but they were lost in the fried mess on the plate. My suggestion would be to change up the menu, serve seared scallops cooked with a simple garlic butter and seasoning, served in shell (and no chips) use the KISS method. Unfortunately Salty girl did not live up to the hype.
Total experience was just ok. They do not clean tables very well in between guests. We watched as tables turned over and they did a quick spray and wipe. Not very careful and too quick. They didn’t wipe down seats either.
We would have sat outside but it started to rain. Some of their heaters didn’t work either. So we weren’t comfortable u til we got a table inside. Good spacing though between tables by fireplace.
Food was ok. Nothing excellent, but solid lunch of chowder and mussels. Drinks were refilled slowly. You had to get servers attention, but she was kind
Our waiter forgot to put in our order at first then came
Back and put them in wrong so my meal came before the app. Then we out in another drink order and he forgot to put that in as well so we ended up saying nevermind on the drinks. The food was absolutely delicious but the waiter....not so delicious.
Great outside patio, awesome drinks, a touch pricey but very good service
We had amazing service and delicious food! Thank you!
Found plastic piece in dessert and little action was taken to account for it. Service was good at first but deteriorated through the night.
Food is absolutely amazing. I had the lobster clambake
The burger and lobster roll is absolutely AMAZING!!!
Over all it was good.
I’ve had wonderful experiences at this restaurant in the past so I wanted to bring my friends here who were new to Boston. The service was horrible- they brought out our main dishes before our oysters! Our waitress was frantic, left water pitcher on our table and was unable to split our check. Sitting outside was less than desirable and lacked its original quaint vibe. Will not be going back for a long time.
The food is delicious at Saltie. Really. My favorite was King Salmon. The deserts were wonderful. The grapefruit vodka drink was perfect. Plenty of outside seating. My go to place at in Boston at the moment.
Excellent experience. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back on my next trip to Boston.
Most delicious food!!!
Covid time does not help! They rushed us because kitchen was closing, but never told us when we reserved
We had a great experience!
Great food, amazing choices. Kind of expensive but not complaining for the quality!
Food was great! Service was excellent! We came for a birthday and everything was phenomenal. The original Saltie Girl is light, bright, felt new and had an over all feel of it’s namesake. We sat in what use to be the the old Met Bar area, which felt more like a cosmetic updating of the Met Bar in the color scheme of and less of an extension of Saltie Girl. I get that in the times of a pandemic and economic calamity it’s about moving forward with whatever means. Even for Monday the vibe was good and there was still an energy of dining out that I haven’t felt since before the pandemic. I hope that in the future the entire scope and new extension of the restaurant can encompass the blossoming of Slatie Girl’s location or origin.
