Salud Mexican Bistro and Tequileria
We had a reservation at 6 PM on a Saturday night and while our server himself was very good it is impossible to wait on the entire restaurant with one bartender, one server and one helper to the server. Our drinks were almost constantly low or empty and we had to ask for more chips for the salsa. The food was decent but nothing to get excited about. The amount of food was perfect but the preparation could use a lot of work. My wife’s burrito came out with everything in it despite her request for everything on the side and my surf and turf pizza was burnt on one side making those pieces inedible.
Food was great. our sever was so pleasant and such a hard worker! I wish I remembered her name now but it was Thursday Feb 27
Thanks for the great food and service!
Our server which was also the greeter was so nice and very helpful! The staff made my wife's birthday celebration special by providing a flan cake and they sang Happy Birthday to her also! Please let our restaurant server know of the excellent job she is doing. We will come back just from the service alone and we enjoyed our meals too. Best service we've had at any restaurant in Las Vegas in a long time!!
Overall, the food is really good. Unfortunately, the bistro lacks ambiance, is understaffed, and the drinks are made incorrectly. Because of the understaffing, you will wait a long time for a drink and your food. It's really a shame that the bistro is so poorly managed as the food is really really good.
We arrived on a Saturday night at 5:30 and were seated right away. We found the entire staff to be quite friendly and accommodating. Our order consisted of the Octopus Salteado appetizer, the Sirloin Flank Steak and Shrimp Ala Diabla. All were quite tasty, but the highlight of the meal was the bone marrow side which accompanied the steak. Will definitely return.
When I gave my name for the reservation the server said, I would have to sit at the bar because it’s trivia night & the only available seating was at the bar. He was not very friendly or accommodating . He then said Open table does this to them every time it’s trivia night. The food was good the elote was fantastic s was the ceviche. The sangria was ok, will not get again. Our server was the bartender & more than made up for the poor service the other server provided
Love this place!
We hit the 5000-point mark with OpenTable and opted for a $50 gift certificate with Salud. If you’re a long-time Vegas person, Salud is in the old spot where the ever successful and delicious Rosemary’s used to be. It was new and not on our radar, so we thought we would give it a try. The online menu looked pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised! The menu items are great (she had the chicken breast with chorizo inside, he has the lobster chimichanga.) We started with guacamole topped with crab along with a few margaritas. It was really, really, good. And service was great from Bernie & Alex was outstanding! Our only complaints are the location (not around anything hip or happening – unless of course you consider a shopping center with an old Marie Callendars something hip..) and the inside décor was a bit bland, but regardless they do a brisk amount of business as did Rosemary’s, and it seems to be a favorite with the locals. We will be back. It was definitely great Mexican food.
My food was still cold on the inside I had the Chile relleno
Clean restaurant, great food, drinks and speedy service. All staff was friendly and attentive. I'll be coming here weekly now.
The food was very different and very good. That was the good news. The bad news is that it is woefully understaffed. It takes forever to get your dinner and your drinks. And I mean forever. It is annoying to sit there and wait that long. Plus the tables are so close together that you can't help but hear and be heard by the tables next to you. Probably will not go back because the bad experience outweighs the good food.
Simply Fantastic! Food was delicious, service was excellent. We will be back!
Service was wonderful. Food was very good. We’ll go back.
Staff was wonderful, food was amazing, and drinks were delicious!
The food was awesome. I had the Quinoa and Mushroom Chile Relleno. Three salsas were served with the chips. One was so good we bought some to take home. Our server Bernie was outstanding and he had great knowledge of the menu. We will definitely go back. Really glad we found this gem through OpenTable.
Fajitas were made with jalapeños instead of green peppers. There was no sour cream, guacamole or pico di gio on the side as I have usually had with fajitas. They do not have decaf coffee or hot tea which I enjoy with my meal. They do have an interesting ground garlic and pepper sauce.
Dinner started off good. Excellent margarita, the chips and salsa were great, and the queso fundido was delicious. And then our entrees came and it was downhill from there. The "chili verde" burrito was a salty bean burrito was a few pieces of burned pork inside - it was one of the worst burritos we have ever tried to eat. The lobster enchiladas were ok, but a bit fishy and too expensive for what was served. The rice on both plates was mushy. With so many good Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas we will probably not go back to Salud.
Salud! gets the formula right. Delicious food, good service, and great vibes. We'll be back!
It was a fantastic meal and the bartender/waitress Crystal was so nice and made sure everything was perfect. I will definitely come back
We had a fabulous evening at Salud Bistro. I've been recommending it to all of my friends. The room is lovely ad the wait staff is friendly and efficient. We had the Pollo Sarandeado. Oh, my goodness it was good. The sarandeado sauce was perfectly balanced and the chicken was delicious. We loved the green rice that came with it. We also had the bone in short rib. It was perfectly prepared and the chile-mole sauce was a perfect complement for the rich meat. The lobster enchiladas were outstanding. The margaritas were among the best ever!
Erika was our bartender and her service was excellent. She explained all the great specials and offers, anticipated our needs, made sure we loved our food (which, wow, yes, we did), and elevated the experience of happy hour. We'll be back soon! I'm still craving their salsas, jalapeno mac and cheese, and street corn.
The food and service at Salud were both outstanding. The menu is uique and the tequila choices are superlative. I liked that this restaurant was lacking pretension but the service was both attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning.
Food and services was wonderful, Bernie is the best.
This was an impromptu dinner with my brother and his wife. My husband and I wanted Mexican food and he’d never been to this place. I suggested it. We ran into family on the way there. They followed us to the restaurant. They loved it! Great service, food, and company. I was the only one that had a drink. The El Patron margarita was perfect for a relaxing meal with family. We will be back again.
First we did not know it was a “Friends” Trivia night. We actually thought wow a 1000 point night business must be slow to come and try. So we come in to dine and immediately treated like second rate guest because we were not aware or participating in Trivia Night. What we assume to be the manager walking around more lost than the staff, told us 10-15 minutes on our 7 pm reservation due to seating friends trivia table was more priority it seems. Then we finally asked hey the trivia is in the dining room we reserved a bar table. The manager stayed sure sit there. He didn’t seat us bring us menus nothing. We had to stop the server for service and menus. Noise level and energy was all focus on trivia so to come in to dine was not enjoyable. To only hear that, and when trivia was grading answers no music cane on just even louder chatting. Margaritas first were told special house margarita night for trivia night. Then were told no it’s just batches margarita at regular price. The margarita were not balanced too acidic/ sour, so we asked for more agave where we witness the bartender pour batch margarita in the glass and proceed to add full shots of agave syrup to the cocktails. Food could have great if the 5 tacos we received ( order one each of their meat selections) were not described so we guessed what was what. Overall seen chaos all over the floor with the staff. I wish we tried the place on another night where focus could be more on guest not trivia.
Elevated and freshly prepared dishes. The creamy lobster enchiladas was filled with lobster morsels. The stuffed cheese chili pepper was huge and cheesy packed yums. Dishes come with a separate plate of different types of beans and flavored rice. Great service, too.
Real surprise here..each dish had a unique flavored sauce that met perfectly with the seabass dish or octopus starter. [loved them both] Stuffed chile with seafood was excellent. No problem recommending this place to a "foodie"!!
Service was amazing between the server and bartender, great experience. Best item we are was the barbacoa street tacos. Enchiladas were fantastic as well.
We really enjoyed our meal at Salud, our waiter Bernie was a hoot, such an entertainer, made our evening extra special! Brian the manager was super nice and attentive as well.
The food was very good, not the usual run of the mill Mexican, all very tasty! We had grilled octopus, love the sauce that was poured over it; the shrimp ceviche was very good as well. For entrees, we ordered the stuffed chicken, pork belly and flank steak, all delicious! Portions were generous. Our friend had the duck carnitas the last time he was there, said it was the best!
Will definitely return for another Latin feast!
Amazing food and great service! Their crab guacamole is the best.
Food and drinks are amazing. This is our new go to for a nice meal and drinks. When people think Mexican food is the same ole same ole. They need to try Salud. The food showcases what makes Mexican food amazing.
We were the only customers, food was very delicious
Loved it ! Will be back
