Samford Hotel

Unassuming from the front, it's quite big in back! Food was fantastic, the play area for the kids was spacious, and the staff were friendly.

Great atmosphere and really delicious food (I got the prosciutto wrapped chicken on couscous).

Sat out the back near the kids area. Food was fast and delicious. Drinks were cold. Kids loved the play area. Staff were proactive and professional.

Friendly helpful staff doing a terrific job in these difficult times (i.e. having to wear masks). Food was lovely.

The food order took 50min to arrive from when it was ordered. The order was only two dishes and when it arrived the fish dish was over cooked and the steak that was ordered rare was well down.

First choice of food order unavailable which meant going back to the table to rethink and lose place in queue. Next order then took an hour to arrive and was not worthy of a hotel meal at restaurant price.

Generous sized meals, quick service, lovely atmosphere and great service.

Unfortunately we were not happy with our experience at the Samford Hotel in 30/12/20. We waited an hour for our lunch the restaurant wasn’t extremely busy and 3 of the meals we below average. The Samford Hotel looks as if it will deliver but over the last few years we’ve always left disappointed

The staff were great but sooo under staffed. There was one women looking after 3 bars. She was amazing. But she needed help and there was no one to back her up. Other staff were friendly but were too busy to be very helpful.

Putting this down to terrible management which could have been handled better.

Usually pretty good but this particular day, staff seemed to be overwhelmed. Covid-19 rules were a little confusing.
The steak I ordered was cooked perfectly however the whiting fillets my friend ordered were full of bones.
Still like to go to the Samford Tavern, it's a lovely spot and suggest that they can only get better from hereonin to the standard they usually are.

Hi I grew up 2 streets away from the hotel and I wanted to show some work colleagues the venue. Still in love with the hotel but we waited a long time to get a doggie bag. The meals are enormous and we could not eat it all.

Would I recommend samford Pub probably

Great value for money, excellent food, service and drinks

Steaks were good. Took too long for a Thursday night to get food. Over 1 hour from order time. It was obvious they were trying to delay orders because only 1 person available to take orders. So at least 10 mins wait in queue to order then over an hour later food arrived.

As per my google review, everything was amazing. I cant believe how good the food was. Amazing.

Your vegan and vegetarian options are very good.

Good food, ordered the Poke bowl with Grilled prawns- loved it! My son ordered adults pizza and couldn't finish it. Re staff, Brett was very helpful and informative. Good information available regarding covid considerations. Nice venue. Great kids play area. Can be tricky to find parking around this location.

We all enjoyed our meals. The size of the meals provided was very good and nobody walked away hungry.

Great spot for a Sunday lunch. Nice covered outdoor dinning area and the steak is done to perfection.

Service was slow unhelpful and steak wasn’t cooked to what was ordered.
Had to peel prawns which is fine but had nowhere to put shells.No finger bowl either or extra napkins at least.

We had a group of 14 people and we were welcomed very warmly.

First time visiting the hotel. Very impressed with the quality of the food served. Establishment was busy but we were advised of the expected wait time. Overall a very pleasant experience .
