Had to look around to find it as it is off the main street but what a treat! Great food and service! Nice decor and a very pleasing variety on the menu. One of the best cocktails I've ever had.

We had a fantastic parents night out. We shad appetizers, a meal and dessert and enjoyed every bite. It was an excellent value for delicious food. I do not remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much. We also had great service.

Sassafras has always been a go-to restaurant for me The service is excellent, the menu has a good variety and the food quality has always been good. It's located centrally downtown right off Main St. so it's convenient when seeing Greenville.

The choices of food was great. They paired items that went together very well and if that wasn’t quite right you could substitute sides for a slight fee. The sever and the manager were top notch. I will be going back!

It was an unbelievable experience all the way around - The only issue was finding the restaurant. It's kind of tucked away in a plaza but if you find it, you won't regret it. We had the BBQ Pork Eggrolls, Caesar Salad, Hush Puppies, and the Rib-Eye with Gorgonzola, Side of Parmesan Risotto and Grilled Asparagus and Deep Dish Peanut Butter Pie on Oreo Crust for dessert - The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the drinks were fantastic - It's a can't miss and it will always be a special place for us to celebrate future anniversaries.

We are always impressed that the owner is actively involved with the service staff. The menu is the right size and quality selections.

Music was a tad too loud

We had dinner at Sassafras to celebrate my wife's birthday.  We had a wonderful dining experience there.  The restaurant has an elegant and cozy atmosphere and great staff. Martin, the owner, warmly greeted us at our table and kindly responded to our comment on our first experience with grits.  We had blue crab and pepper-jack fondue nachos, wasabi crusted yellowfin tuna, and filet mignon & pimento. All of the dishes were so delicious, and the grits in the tuna dish were amazingly tasty. It is an awesome restaurant in a great location in a wonderful city. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we look forward to dining there again in the future.

My fiancée and I are new to town. We searched the internet and settled on Sassafras. We are not disappointed. The service was great and the food outstanding. The house made chips were a delight. Hearing we were new in town, the owner came over and spent a few minutes talking to us about the area.
