Leafy Hadley Green, just outside the north London suburb of Barnet, is home to Savoro, a contemporary neighborhood restaurant where good design meets excellent British cuisine. The simple, clean design of the dining room with its warm earth tones and impeccably dressed tables is a reflection of the creative modern British menu. Head Chef has designed a menu based around the very best seasonal ingredients treated with the utmost respect. He employs a simple approach to combine international ideas and techniques to fabulous effect. So you might find yourself tempted by Barbary duck breast with a sweet potato mash and bok choi or indulge in some of the finest fish around sizzling from the grill. The very international wine list has clearly been created with care and intelligence. This was the 12th annual lunch at Savoro. We started taking a friend out for his 70th birthday and he immediately declared it "a tradition". We don't get up to Barnet very often but am happy to dine at Savoro when we do. Service is friendly and we have been served by the same waiter for most of our visits. The meals are tasty and good value.

We arrived early at 6.30pm straight from a London matinee and were the only guests and we worried we'd be alone for a while and there'd be no atmosphere. We were greeted immediately on a cold night, and made to feel welcome and within 15 minutes other guests arrived and the restaurant was buzzing. We chose the two-course option and the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully served and 'hit the spot' perfectly. Overall it was excellent value and we will certainly be returning with friends.

Our first visit. Good food, nice ambience. We shared our food, so ended up with four very nice courses. Generous portions.

We have been to Savoro several times but not for about a year. I am pleased to say that it was as good as I remembered it to be. The choice on the menu was excellent and my husband and I both had difficulty choosing as there were so many things we liked. I had the Thai beef starter which was really amazing. However it was a big portion, which meant that I made very little impression on my pasta main course. Our waiter had no hesitation when I asked for a "Doggie Bag". This is a lovely restaurant with good food, very pleasant staff and nice ambience. I can recommend it.

We have been visiting Savoro once a year for 8 years now and it always comes up trumps. We initially went there for a treat for a friend's 70th birthday and we've just celebrated his 77th. Savoro has good value set menus and wide range of choices. The wine list is reasonable. It was empty for this late Monday lunch but the waiter seemed happy to keep serving and placed us under no pressure to finish up. We'l be back soon.

A family group of six ate here on Good Friday and the service and quality of food was excellent. The food was beautifully cooked, especially the scallops and the lamb, and so interesting to see such interesting ice cream flavours on the menu which sadly I did not have room for.

I don't usually write reviews but Savoro deserve one. The food and service was some of the best I have experienced in quite some time. I won't go into any more detail as you should go and try it yourself

Both the steak and fish were excellent. Attentive staff and low-level lighting helped the atmosphere for our post Valentine's meal. Would highly recommend. It wasn't prohibitively expensive either. Tops night.
