I've only been getting to Milwaukee about once a year for the last several years. Saz's State House is always on the "must visit" list because the Baby Back Ribs are so good. They are the best that I have had anywhere across the country!
Service was very good. Kurt did an excellent job. Food was very good. We were some what disappointed in the very limited menu. Bring back the meat loaf! The interior needs some updating. Wait staff could use name tags. Uniforms of some sort would be good.
We will be back that is for sure.
I like the place and our server was very nice and efficient. I appreciate the good work they do in the community.
Good old dependable Saz's. It 's always been there serving up great ribs, pulled pork, moz marinara, cheese curds, and fish fries among other things and Milwaukee has loved eating there for decades.
The food was ok. The server was very good. My issue was with the shuttle to the Brewer game. Getting there was easy, quick, efficient with 2 shuttles. Our shuttle driver said the rules require him to drive up to the furthest open spot and he will drive past you and wave. However, the trip back to the restaurant was just the opposite. They only ran one shuttle. The other driver was picking people up mid road so they were full before they got up to us. We waited 45-50 minutes before we got picked up. Never again.
the fries had no sour cream or chive seasoning. the coleslaw was dry and the potato pancakes tasted like they were cooked in old oil. drinks were good, so was the service and the appetizer (festival platter) was good too.
Consistently good food and service. The Burgers are delicious. Great choice of cocktails and nice menu size. Also can order online and carryout
Baby back ribs were not hot and tasted reheated/old. Fries no longer as good as they used to be.
Always love the Saz’s festival combo.
Our group had the fried chicken and ribs. All the food was good, service was quick. Tables were socially distanced throughout the restaurant so we felt safe.
We were at Saz's on Easter Sunday for Brunch. We were a party of 4 and chose Crab Quiche, Crab Benedict, Pulled Pork Sandwich and Baby Back Ribs. All were delicious as were the Mimosas and Pineapple Upside Down screwdrivers.
Saz's is iconic. The pulled pork nachos were better than I was expecting. Love Saz's! It just feels like summer/festivals whenever I eat there.
Missed them at festivals this year. The ribs and service were amazing.
The ribs were overcooked and somewhat dry. The beer the beer battered fish was quite good. The homemade potato pancakes were only fair. Seemed like we were paying too much money for what we got. Probably won't be back
Our experience at Saz's was excellent, as it always is!
It was nice to see the special menus for St. Patricks Day. Limited Gluten free options.
My waitress's customer service was great! She checked on our table often, and the food was good! I would definitely come back!
Staff friendly and efficient, food and service outstanding
We really enjoyed our dinner and the service we received by our server, Robin! We'll be back!
Our waiter was amazing and more than generous with his availability to fill our drinks. The food was incredible, I highly recommend the stephanie and cheese curds. Amazing for college kids like myself.
Service was great and food was fantastic! Definitely will be going back!
I haven’t eaten here in awhile but the experience wasn’t terrible. Moderate, chill, nothing to crazy. The food was alright, I think it taste better when I would order during state fair. Either way overall was decent.
Went there for our Anniversary. Got seated right away. Everything was awesome!!!
Came for dinner. Has a salmon special and ribs. Great drinks and food. Service was great too.
We had an excellent lunch here with our kids. Cheese curds highly recommend, but it was the “ stefanies burger” that was AMAZING!
Caitlin was our server...Nice to talk to, helpful friendly..Possessed great customer service skills...Food came with a short wait...Great temperature...Excellent taste...We also had a lot of fun during our meal time with several employees...Great place to dine...
The ribs and chicken are fabulous. Slaw and Mac and cheese was incredible. We love Saz’s!
They did a very well job especially with the pandemic..
It was great!
The food was delicious and the service was on point!
We've been coming here for years and it's great to know that things here have maintained their high standards and we're thankful they are managing during the pandemic. Excellent service and great food! Enjoyed the Fish "Fry" Baked option - it was perfectly done, and we loved the slaw...it was unique and delicious. Great Bloody Marys here too. Can't go wrong at Saz's. Only reason ambiance gets 4 vs 5 stars is we miss the old bar with the brass elephants but new decor does look nice. Tables were safely distanced for anyone concerned, and staff was all masked. We will continue to keep Saz's in our dining out rotation.
Great Sunday breakfast chicken and waffles are really good
The food was good and I would definitely eat there again.
Food was sub-par and the service was lacking. The lemonade I ordered tasted spoiled as if it was turning and when I explained this and asked for a soda instead, I was charged for the soda as well as the lemonade! The meatloaf was dry as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for half an hour. The waitress clumsily dropped a dish of cole slaw and only cleaned up half the mess while reminding our party to step around the remaining shards. At least we got a warning! The only thing I enjoyed was the appetizers, otherwise the meal was a waste of money. Needless to say I won't be returning.
We always have great food and excellent service when dining at Saz’s. I highly recommend a visit to Saz’s.
Service was good. Group had five different cocktail, all tasty, and all enjoyed their meals. Only complaint was the person who had the chicken and waffles said the waffles(Belgian style) were too sweet. Tried them myself, and had to agree, a bit too much sugar for my liking, but still edible.
Food was good ordered appetizer combo & rack of ribs to share. Took home leftovers for next day’s lunch. Yummy!
Always love the ribs at Saz's. Pulled pork is also a fave. Never had a bad meal here ever. Service is good to great. Been a customer for 20 years.
Usually everything I order is great here. This time ordered the chicken wings. Wings were very large, but did not seemed to be cooked through completely. Sauces were just bland as well. I tried the hot honey & buffalo. The hot honey wasn’t even hot. For the price $16 for 12 wings I was expecting award winning wings. Sad to say I was very disappointed.
The food was good, it’s a bit pricier for what you actually get. I paid $15 for a salad that was not anything special. The server was barely around. We had to go up to try to find her to pay. It seems like she only tried towards the end when it was time to hand us the check.
