american cheese, chipotle aioli, fries
Crispy Brussels Sprouts
We dined outside. The weather was perfect, the chairs comfortable, and the lighting festive. The two of us ate 3 starters and dessert and it was the refectory amount.
Service was great! Food was just ok.
Either understaffed or just inattentive. Took 25 minutes to get first round drinks (a can of beer), restaurant inside was barely half full.
Delicious brunch! Breakfast pizza and the Benedict! Both amazing!!! Best strawberry mojito I’ve ever had!! Sat outside and enjoyed the day. * wear pants there were some gnats outside
The outdoor seating allowed for social distancing, but the menu offered few, if any, distinctive options. Basically pub fare that does not entice me to return.
On the plus side, they had cider on tap.
Crispy Brussels were tasty. Deviled eggs blah, western omelette was ok. Nothing special on the table. I may return fir dinner to give that a try…Staff was nice! Service prompt.
Service and coffee was not ideal. Seemed understaffed.
Brunch: menu looked promising but the outcome was poorly prepared food that was cold and tasted mediocre. Only thing good was the bacon and the mimosas.
The Brussels sprouts were extremely greasy.
The waiter was not good. We had to keep on looking for her. But food was good per usual.
Food was good as always and we enjoyed ourselves as always.
I sat on the covered patio- which is great… except for the horrible mosquitos. They have citronella candles and bug spray out there, but it was still a pain.
Service was very slow, food was ok.
Excellent service and food.
First and last time at this restaurant. It was, in a word, "Meh". Too bad, too. It's nice inside.
We arrived for a 10:45am Father's day brunch. It all went downhill after we were seated. The server arrived 10+ minutes later asking if we knew what we wanted. Apparently we were suuposed to have checked out the menu by scanning a small QR code on the drinks menu located on the table - but no one told us about that when we were seated. Later the server takes our order and I also order a drink. The drink arrived 15 minutes later; and, no, the restaurant was not busy. The drink appears, as does the appetizer. The appetizer was OK. No one checks in to see if we like the food, or if we need anything. After we finished the appetizer, I had to flag down the server who was studiously avoiding eye contact with our table, to order another drink. The drink and the entrees appear 15+ minutes later. My wife and I ordered salads, which were OK. My daughter's pizza was inedible (seriously).
We intentionally skipped dessert and asked for the check. Never again.
My husband and I came here on a whim one evening. The service was not that great. The drinks were not well balanced at all. The food left very little to be desired. I ordered the braised short ribs and it clearly was not a short rib. It was roast beef. I would not recommend this restaurant or visit again
Everything was awesome, the food and the service.
Was expecting a little more from the restaurant after reading the reviews. Was good, just expected better.
Going back to NATS Park for our first game since the pandemic, so happy to see Scarlet Oaks survived, and they delivered!
Food was good. Understaffed due to the pandemic; however, the staff wasn’t very friendly or attentive, especially the manager. I understand the pressure of it all, but never let your customers see you sweat.
food was great, ambiance is fun but service was absolutely horrendous...
I moved into a building around the restaurant and have always seen people outside eating so I figured I would check it out. Took my older parents who are quite picky about food when they came to visit, and they didn’t have a single complaint. They both got the beef short ribs and it was so tender they didn’t have to use a knife. I can see why this place is always packed. Great food and decently priced.
O poor service there were only two servers working; no one enjoyed their meal.
We missed our reservation on Saturday …definitely our fault and they were mostly accommodating given the fact that I set up a backup reservation for later. They may have been understaffed on this day which is completely understandable bc I was a Director of a staffing agency for some years so they probably had some call outs. The scramble for the current team that day was obvious but the food was great! One other issue I had was with an AMAZING dish but the menu was a little misleading. The Cajun Shrimp and Cheddar Biscuit was awesome, flavorful, and left you wanting more. Issue: the menu mentions Cajun Shrimp and Cheddar BiscuitS which implies more than one but it is only one. Other than that I would definitely go back.
Best Brunch spot in DC
Food was tasty, as excepted, previously frequenting Magnolia and Southern Hospitality which were in the same group before closing. Service was subpar as we sat on side outside patio. She could’ve been more present and attentive, but overall all was well. It took very long for server to come to our table throughout.
Food was great! Definitely would go again. Our waitress was definitely having a bad day though and it did translate in the service we received
The food was amazing
Everything was fine, but the service was a bit slow for the few number of diners there.
Wreat outdoor dining with friendly service and a varied menue.
Close to the Ballpark but far enough away that it is a great experience
Drinks are a good price, and our server was kind. The host was rude to our friend with a veteran service dog. Our food order took 30-45 minutes to take. The food was bland, and pizza crust had tons of flour left on it. Edible but not great.
Great food! Great service
Nothing significant either way regarding the food or service, but the bar options for bourbon and whiskey were excellent. We were happy to get a reservation on a Saturday when everyone else was full.
It wasn’t a game day so it was good
The ambience was amazing, great service with the mimosas, very attentive. That being said, in my eggs benedict, the poached egg was very runny in the whites, the biscuit was smooshy. The grilled cheese was pretty basic. But I will absolutely go back because the bottomless mimosas and ambiance made it all worth it.
My son and I had dinner before the Nats game. We were running late, they held a table for us. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and courteous.
One of the best spots in the Navy Yard for consistently great food and fun service (with Carlos!)!
Excellent pre-game dining regular - fresh food, attentive service. Thrilled to be back and for many more pregame dinners. ⚾️🧢🏟
A Trump supporter bar with unseasoned food and appetizers tasted like they just came out of the freezer
