   Food is above & beyond amazing - the flavors, texture, and presentation. Kudos to the chef & kitchen staff! It was a last minute reservation for a birthday, and they were out of a few of my favorites so I ordered something else. Our main server was a bit “lukewarm” in the beginning but he made it up in the end. His was assisted by a female server and she was delightful, friendly, professional, and her personality was so bubbly. Another one came and opened a bottle of Pinot Noir for us and he made an excellent presentation. There was no ice cream anymore for the blueberry bread pudding - nevertheless the taste was perfect!

   The food was pretty good; different from what we normally eat. For a night that wasn't too busy, service was a little slow, and the food took a while to come out. We would go back though and try different dishes.

   The waitress brought food to our table twice and didn’t bring utensils. And the table was clear so she easily should have noticed we needed them. We had to flag down another person to get them to bring them. Same with the side dish to put out appetizer on.

   We were charged $3 extra for requesting our eggs to be made over easy. I was under the assumption that you could request any style eggs. Also a 4% appreciation tip was added to our bill on top of our tip to our waitress. We were only a small group of 2 adults and 2 kids.

    Our experience was ok here. Last minute reservations brought us here because my husband wanted to try this place. Last time we came, without reservations, as walk-ins and we were told over an hour wait. So, tonight was the lucky night with one reservation slot left for 6pm. Firstly, we were seated all the way to the back while most guests were seated up closer to the entrance. Why didn’t we ask to sit upfront? Well, there were reservation placards on those seats, but I guess our reservation was for down back. Second, we were checked up on once during our whole time there. While we notice servers checking up on other tables multiple times. Third, the two pac seated next to us didn’t get checked in once seated til a few check-ins on other tables and the other couple who got seated after the two who were seated next to us. Feeling second rated being seated in the back and only checked on once were confirmed by how the recent two seated by us were also treated. This was our experience. Food, was ok.     I've yet to order something at Scratch that I didn't like (highly recommend the Pork and Apple pasta). The vibe is Very casual so it's a great place to go out with friends (but a bit too casual for a romantic date imo). Not much else to say, the kitchen really knows what they're doing and the waiters check in frequently -- it's just a solid local spot that deserves to thrive.

    Nice creative menu, we had shrimp and grits, burger and cobb salad. Everything came out 5 minutes apart so kind of awkward looking at everyone else eat. Food was tasty. Wanted to try dessert but they were out of ice cream, which was a main ingredient in most items.

    Tried this place for the first time based on a friend’s recommendation. Servers were polite and friendly and attentive; overall service was great. The food was just ok. I ordered a medium rare burger but it was over cooked and the adobo plate someone in our party ordered is advertised as being offered with two fried eggs; the order was delivered with only one egg, which isn’t that big a deal but for how much this place costs you’d expect more consistency and attention to detail. Overall, glad I tried it once but wouldn’t go back because it was “meh.”

    I was seated 10 minutes before the rest of my party was not given a menu to review until I requested. Fish & chips was the worst I’ve ever had. The batter was undercooked and doughy. inedible. I dug the fish out to eat. Flavor was bland. Salad was covered with mustard seeds and vinegar - again, inedible.

    Mac and cheese was average. Pork ribs were ok. Tacos were ok. Waitress got order wrong and didn’t know what barbacoa was. All in all it was average to below average for $60 (& 2 sodas) plus tip for 2 people. Wouldn’t go back.

    Excellent food! We had the Brussel sprouts to start and 10/10 would recommend, I had the Cajun sausage and shrimp grits and it was exactly as I expected and very good. Fun place to eat, I’ll be back!

    One of the best dining experiences we had in Hawaii. This was a great find. The ambience was fun and energetic which was guided by the music and the staff. The food was phenomenal to top it off. Love the varied menu. We might even go back before we leave for home.

    Was looking forward to a good dining experience after waiting several days to snag a reservation. Walked in, music was way too loud to have good conversation amongst the 4 of us, not greeted until I walked up to a server to let her know we had reservations, then promptly seated. ******Most important thing I want to say is that 3 of us who had salads for dinner got sick that night***** The chicken my daughter and I had added to our salads was lukewarm at best while my husband’s was steaming hot off the grill on his salad. Seems like my daughter and I must’ve been given the “leftover chicken” (which was poorly cut & served, more like plopped on the side of salad greens). Bacon Mac & Cheese however, was very tasty, that’s the only good thing I can say. Waitstaff did not seem to be enjoying their job, seemed confused with various normal tasks and were not the friendliest though I think they were trying their best? Seemed to be bad vibes from the kitchen after watching interaction of chef and waitstaff. Completely disappointed in everything about our experience and then with 3 of us getting sick after eating there I would definitely NOT recommend.

    In all honesty the restaurant has potential but the food needs some work. We started off decent with the popcorn chicken which was fresh and crispy. But I do wish a different aioli was offered for the popcorn Chicken rather than the chipotle aioli. But that was just a preference overall it was solid. We also ordered the “Soup of the day” which was clam chowder and overall the soup was good just lacked a little bit of flavor. It was served with a side of bread which was toasted. I wish it had butter or something and if it did I had none on mine. Then the entrees that were ordered was there classic burger and the grandmas pork chop pasta. The server asked the temp on my burger and I purposely said medium rare because 9/10 times most restaurants overcook the Patty’s and sure enough when the burger came out it was more to medium well. As for the rest of the burger it was pretty underwhelming but it was just a basic burger with a leaf of lettuce and there chipotle aioli and the patty and cheese. The French fries were just regular frozen fries lightly salted. Pretty hard to messed that up. Just wish the burger had more going on especially for the price point of $19. Second entree we ordered was the grandmas pork chop pasta which was also one of their “customers favorite” dish. Pasta had little to no flavor to it. As for the pork chop , literally first bite in was good but as I kept chewing it was overall to salty when cooking a pork chop the pork naturally will render a lot of salt from the fat, on top of what evert marinade they used which most likely contained SOY SAUCE as the base but I’m just going on what Im tasting. Also the capers that were in that pasta didn’t help it’s cause, capers are salty and vinegary by trait so tossing it in with pork chop it was Just to much salt. The veggies itself were bland and specifically the broccoli which looked raw and the cooks just tried to cook it while making the dish as to oppose having the broccoli already blanched.

    I have brought alit of friends to this place …. I enjoy it very much and would continue to recommend it … There were a few slips from the kitchen …. All of the appetizers were served with excellence and the drink orders all arrived well . As for the entrees the presentation was lacking in mine as well as my partner who was served cold fries …. Our new friends received their food and it was timely. The dessert was also done well. I give it there is a slip every now and then .

    We decided on having a pupu style dinner so that we would be able to taste different dishes. We ordered street tacos, escargot, popcorn chicken, steak cubes, chili fries, and had the bread pudding for dessert. Our food came out on a timely manner and tasted great! What was better than the food was the service. Our waiter Nick was awesome. He and the other staff made us feel comfortable but Nick was very personable and provided excellent service. He made our dinner that much more enjoyable. Scratch Kitchen is highly recommended and we will be definitely be going back!
