Food was excellent, we were seated promptly and our server was attentive. Very enjoyable.
Service was excellent and we loved the food. Very nice restaurant.
Our first Thanksgiving dinner out at a restaurant. Generous portions and delicious traditional dinner. Service was excellent.
We've eaten here several times when staying at the hotel. I'm taking one star away because it seems like they "punish" couples by always seating us in the bar area and not in the lower level where it's brighter and has a view of something besides the sports on the bar TV's. The food is good and service is always friendly and helpful.
Service was okay. We were on the Thanksgiving package and server forgot we were to have dessert. No big deal. My prime rob was a disappointment- too thin too much fat and tough. My wife’s steelhead though was excellent.
We are locals to the area, but had never tried this restaurant before so we decided to try their Thanksgiving option. We realized quite quickly that we had missed out all this time! The service was friendly & professional, and the servers worked quite well together. The food was absolutely amazing! Full of flavor, and arrayed wonderfully. We never felt rushed, and decided quite quickly that the price point was spot on for what we received. A very good Thanksgiving memory!
We had two meals during our two night stay. Overall it was a fairly pleasant experience with a nice atmosphere and very welcoming staff. It could have been better if the temperature in the restaurant could have been warmer. Both meals we felt it was two cold. We also heard other people talking about it being cold in there. When we left after our early dinner we saw two space heaters running in the dining areas. Honestly, we felt that was pretty tacky even if it was necessary.
The food quality was good, but not great. For what appears to be an upscale restaurant, that was a bit of a disappointment.
Great option for an easy family dinner. Limited menu and wine selection, but the food was decent, offering the standard fare you would expect in a hotel restaurant.
It was pretty late, so we couldn't really see the views, but from what I've read and seen, the views are absolutely amazing. The food was delicious. We started with baked shrimp, artichoke, and spinach dip that came with vegetables to dip. My husband ordered the steak and frites and was not disappointed. My oldest son ordered the asparagus goat cheese pizza. My middle son ordered the tomahawk short ribs. My daughtered ordered off the kids menu, the chicken strips and fries. And I ordered the catch of the day, which that day was steelhead trout with garlic mashed potatoes. The food was absolutely amazing!! We highly recommend!
Our server Erin was wonderful and had only been on the job for three days. She was also the bartender and made a great espresso martini. The food arrived hot and tasty. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with my father in his wheelchair. We will definitely return.
Service was so slow
delicious dinner, drinks and dessert togo. Perfect service and ambiance.
I’m sorry to say that my dining experience at Seaglass bistro was mediocre and disappointing. Admittedly I am from New York and the bar is pretty high when it comes to food.
I asked the waitress about the quesadilla with crab and mango and brie how many pieces would there be. She said five there were only three and it was $18. I barely tasted any crab at all I was just truly an overprice disappointment. Next I ordered the bistro burger —again —huge disappointment. the fries were OK but the burger itself tasted like shoe leather and not at all as described. I asked for it rare to medium it was well done. honestly I’ve had better burgers at Wendy’s. The wine again —mediocre. The view was beautiful though great sunset! However I could’ve seen it for free and not spent $40 on this incredibly overpriced and disappointing meal.
Didn’t realize this was in a Best Western. Not impressed :(
Two different delicious pastas!! Atmosphere was great. Timing was great. Service was excellent. Will come again.
There are definitely better restaurants in Newport. We love to stay at this Best Western with it’s many ocean view rooms, and this in-house restaurant is very convenient. Food is OK, wine list is terrible. If you want to “stay-in” go for it; however you can do better if you go out!
Delicious food, friendly service, and a beautiful setting with an ocean view.
We had 2 meals at Sea Glass Bistro, while staying overnight at the hotel. Dinner was very good (we had the pork chop and the pan-roasted chicken) with lovely sunset views of the beach. Breakfast was delicious, too- especially the vegetable hash! Same waitress both meals, Wasia provided excellent service.
We ate in the Sea Glass restaurant for 2 consecutive nights. Food & service were good & the only thing I would say is the glasses need to be cleaned more thoroughly. While I believe they were clean, when having a cocktail or glass of wine with drip marks all down the sides while sitting at a table with the sun shining through does not help with the overall ambiance.
Wasia was outstanding! Artichoke dip is the best in town, especially the bread it comes with.
Great service, food and ambiance!
We will definitely be back!
Sunday brunch is the bomb. 5 dollar bottomless mimosas and great eggs Benedict
Best location food and service this is a beautiful ace and people were all so kind and helpful we loved it
For the price of your food. It should be better tasting.
Very nice atmosphere. Great service.
Terrific view! Bottonless mimosas were bottonless and only $5! Bloody Marys were delish! Salted rim, pickled asparagus, two olives, lime, spicy... yum! There were 6 of us and we ordered Joe's Special, Eggs Benedict, and coffee pancakes with Bailey's Irish whipped cream. Everything was cooked to order and devoured! The potatoes that came with the Benedict were sliced thin and were the perfect combination of crispy outside and soft inside. One Eggs Benedict gal ordered her hollandaise on the side and her husband asked if he could drink the leftover sauce-- it was that good! Coffee pancakes came in 3 and was more than I could finish. Service was a bit slow. I had to hunt down our waitperson to get a coffee refill and more mimosa, but after that minor irritation all went smoothly and we were well taken care of.
Nice atmosphere, excellent food. Definitely recommend.
The service was very good overall, quiet and very pleasant with a beautiful beach view.
The food was excellent. We kind of did a two meals a day--late breakfast and early dinner. Just the right amount of great food.
Very busy and seemed extremely short staffed, not the worker/employees fault. Need better specials. Why no happy hours? This would be a perfect venue for happy hour crowds.
The food is delicious here. Our compliments to the chef!
I previously gave a bad review but was thinking of another restaurant. Sorry! Dinner chicken salad and service were excellent.
Ordered a medium steak and got well. Asparagus Goat cheese pasta was good, but not quite enough portion wise. Service was very poor. Very kind, but never checked back until meal was pretty much done. No raspberry sauce for my chocolate dessert... just would have liked to have been told before it already came out... perhaps I would have changed my mind. Waste of tome in my opinion, but dinner there was out of convenience since we were staying there. No alcohol other than wine and beer due to no bartender apparently. Thinking they are very short staffed and it shows.
Made a 6:30 pm reservation several months ago. Arrived and had to wait 30 minutes past reservation time. My dinner was excellent and my husband’s dish was average. Returned for breakfast the next morning and had to return one of the breakfast plates we ordered which they did refund. Very small restaurant with limited seating but you can’t beat the view.
Sat outside because I had a friend join me who has a dog. It was a wonderful pet friendly outdoor dining experience with a view of the ocean.
Liked it so much went back next night and my wife ordered the same dish! Catch of the day Salmon.
This is a hotel restaurant, on the ground level of the Best Western. It has a limited selection of seafood, we were hoping for local, fresh catch but the only fish option was salmon. We had a lovely appetizer (the crab cakes were delicious and so were the garlic fries) and went for dinner into Newport were local restaurants had abundant fresh seafood choices.
Beautiful views & a lot of delicious options.
35th Anniversary. I called down from my room at the hotel to make a reservation. They told me they were booked solid and had no table! OPEN TABLE to the rescue. I took out my phone, opened the app and 15 minutes later we were ordering drinks! The service was outstanding, food was another story! My wife’s chicken was very bland and not much taste, my steak was cold with out much seasoning and it was not a very good cut of meet, pretty tough Andi did not finish it. I would not eat there again!
Our party of three had quite good service, and we had really good asparagus/tomato/cheese pasta.
