Excellent all around. The food, service, and music was phenomenal. I highly recommend it. Will definitely be going back.
I really like the drink I had and food was very good and and the service was great and would recommend this place to anyone
Seafood salad is excellent!
Great service and they played Happy birthday fornus on trumpet. Awesome place
The food was amazing! The Surf & Turf meal made our NYE dinner so special, with twin lobster tails and a Ribeye to die for!! And the cocktails were incredible! Suggestion to try the Raspberry Stinger Martini and Seipsville cosmopolitan . Bartender makes awesome drinks!!
Seipsville is well worth the visit. Good service and food.
We were there for New Year’s Eve. It was our first time there. And we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good and so was the service.
The food was good just not a big menu and our service was outstanding!
Good food in comfortable surroundings. Enjoyed a nice meal there while visiting my son at Lafayette.
Got to the restaurant a little early and found it was closed after driving an hour from NJ. The had scheduled a wedding. As we left another gtoup arrived with reservations and they said it had happened to them once before. I called the restaurant and complained and the manager said that he had notifies Open Table if the closing but I doubt it. Won't gio back
The menu is somewhat limited but the food is excellent.
The server was new and clearly being trained (she had a shadow following and instructing her) but she did a wonderful job- attentive but not hovering or intrusive. Drinks were perfect, I’d come back for just those any day.
The grilled octopus appetizer was cooked perfectly (it had been recommended as a “must try” by a coworker) though the plate was drowning in this weird “yuca sauce” that had no taste whatsoever- just this mass of white pudding-like stuff. But still, the octopus was amazing, so we continued to be impressed.
Sadly, main courses was where it went off the rails. I ordered the garlic shrimp, my friend had the jambalaya. The flavor on his was amazing, but for one small problem I’ll describe in a moment. Mine didn’t taste at all of garlic. The potatoes were mealy and slimy, the garlic sauce had been burned and congealed to clumps. In both dishes, the shrimp were a disaster. Cooked so hard that they looked like plastic, they required a knife to cut. The thin ends were actually so bad that they couldn’t be chewed with any amount of effort. At $23-30 dollars an entree, one expects better execution. There’s no way the chef didn’t know by looking at the poor things that something had gone terribly wrong. It was super disappointing.
After years of living in the the area found this nice gem. Great place with out door sitting and live music! Food was good the drinks were great! Looking forward to going back!!
Very good food and friendly staff!
I REALLY wanted to give this establishment a 5 star rating. They have the right attitude and energy, but not enough to go over the finish line. The food was truly delicious, but my disappointment came in the portion compared to the price. I ordered the $30 Paella, which I have ordered many times at other Portuguese restaurants, and I am always overwhelmed by the size and portion of the serving. This time, not at all. Besides being served in a soup bowl sized plate, there was no lobster in it at all! The description states lobster sofrito, and even though sofrito is a spice/seasoning, you would think there would be some lobster in the dish as well. Not even a half a tail! Nothing. There were about 6 really tiny clams with little meat in them and three shrimp. While the flavor was excellent, don't order this thinking your taking some home with you. My wife had the Cod which she loved, though again, the portion is small. We split a Carne Empanda (2) appetizer, which again, were delicious, but had I known the main portions were so small, I woulds have ordered my own appetizer, maybe even two! We finished off our meal with a flaming desert. While it was tasty, the presentation was awkward and troublesome. I was waiting for the pan to fall off the burner the entire time. Drinks were small. I had a Mango Margarita and the shocker (to me anyway) was that there was SALT on the rim, and not sugar. I know salt is on a lime version, but I've always had sugar put on my fruit versions. Tried the white sangria which was also outstanding, but small. So, the bottom line is that this is a very good restaurant, Over priced in my opinion - $110 for two people. And the portions are "jusssst" enough to sate your hunger, and there won't be any doggie bag. If they bumped up the portion size on food and drinks, and kept the prices the same, it would be a winner. Until then, there are many other places in the Lehigh Valley that outperform this place.
Great food and nice setting outside.
Food was very good as usual. I do feel that they should serve bread and salad for the prices of the dinner . Vegetables are also sparse .
Love the music and service is good
We really liked the patio. The server came to our table and immediately asked if we “reserved” their surf and turf burger (burger with a lobster tail on it). We said no and she said “let me see if there are any left...we sold 15 tonight already”. (I don’t know how—the restaurant was completely empty.) She came back and said there were 3 left. We ordered 2 along with the crab Mac n cheese. Then we heard her do the same spiel with another table. The Mac n cheese was good but hard to find the crab and it was $24 for a VERY small plate. The burgers themselves were good but nothing to write home about, it was the lobster tail that ruined everything. The lobster was undercooked and we actually sent one tail back. The server was very nice about it and insisted on bringing a new one (again, not sure how when supplies were supposedly so limited). That came back slightly more cooked and edible. I didn’t feel like it was worth complaining further. Then we got the bill—over $100 for 2 burgers and Mac n cheese. I realize seafood comes at a premium and certainly don’t mind paying for good food. And people seem to like this place. For me it was a complete disappointment and way overpriced. For the money I spent I could have gone to a much nicer restaurant where I know the food is always on point. I wouldn’t go back.
Another great dinner at Seipsville. Food, atmosphere and staff were exceptional!
Delicious food and great drink! The Seips Cod is a pan fried revelation with basil oil that is an unexpected and delightful accompaniment. Tammy was so informed and helpful in selecting drinks and desserts that complemented our food.
Tables on top of each other. Masks not worn by servers and other peoples food was showcased under the nosey of other tables. V bad practice in current times
Lovely atmosphere! Food was very good and service excellent . My meal did not come with veg so I ordered later on. Very accommodating !
First time there We will go back
Good food and drinks. The outside patio was very nice.
Extensive variety mostly in the seafood realm. Great ambience!
We were looking forward to dining at Seipsville but when we arrived it was closed. We have no idea why. All doors were locked and nobody answered my knock.
One of my favorite restaurants!!!! Excellent food, service and atmosphere!!!
We went for valentines weekend and decided on the regular menu rather than the VD menu. The lobster bisque had delicious flavor but was a bit thin to our liking, could be a bit thicker, creamier. Also could’ve used some fresh crusty bread or crackers. I chose the crab cakes which were delicious but didn’t care for the corn chowder, would’ve rather had a vegetable, potato or rice to go with. My hubby chose the ribeye w/ chimichura which had a very nice flavor . Overall, it was good with a very nice atmosphere, but a bit expensive for amount of food. Would definitely go back to sit on patio for drinks/apps
Beautiful historic family owned restaurant. The atmosphere is timeless and romantic. They also have a nice sized banquet room that is elegantly decorated.
The oysters were fresh and meaty. The lobster meat was plump and sweet. The octopus was very tender.
Bananas flambe and lemon custard were a nice ending to our Valentine meal.
The staff was very welcoming and made you feel at home. We loved listening to the stories of the history of building. We look forward to coming back.
It was a great service and the food was good. We will go back again!
Very attentive and friendly staff. We experienced the outside tent area which was comfortable with heater. Staff was friendly and attentive and food was excellent
Even with the outdoor “indoor” tent, this place is fantastic. Outdoor seating was cozy and warm, service amazing and food is always delicious. The owner and staff are doing a great job! If you go on a Sat night, ask for Tammy. She’s provided excellent service. Looking forward to my next visit!
We love this place, especially the new chef from Argentina. Delicious tempura calamari, apple pork chop, and scallops with risotto. The service is warm and friendly and the atmosphere quiet and welcoming. One of our favorite spots.
Everything was outstanding! From the good to drinks. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back!
The food was amazing! This is my new favorite place to eat!
Great food and great service! My husband and I love Seipsville and go almost weekly.
We LOVED the food. The Tempura Calamari was outstanding! Wonderful waitress, Laura. The restaurant is working hard to make people comfortable outside. We will be back.
I didn't really like the changes to the menu. The food was very salting and the atmosphere was a little boring. Food was just ok and very pricey.
5:30 on a Saturday night and we were the only people in the restaurant. This was quite concerning to me and my wife. We were expecting Gorgon Ramsey to pop out at anytime. I’m not sure if this is normal or because of COVID, but we did not want to take the chance to find out.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, my family and I thought the price of the food did not match the quality. The food was so so. I don’t think we will be returning unless they serve better food.
Nice atmosphere. The seafood trio appetizer was delicious, along with the stuffed lobster. It was full of a nice amount of crabmeat.
