So delicious, refined, and rich. I would eat at Sepia daily if I could.
Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Absolutely will dine again. Thank you for a memorable experience!
Delicious food and nice service!!
It was a great experience. Food was great! Service was great!
Year after year, Sepia is consistently one of the best restaurants in Chicago and never disappoints. Food and service are top notch every time we dine. One of my all-time favorite places.
Such an amazing value for a Michelin star dinner. Amazing food, drink (loved the wine pairing), service, and ambience. Would go back in a heartbeat!
The food was so beautifully presented and flavorful. The service was great and the ambiance was perfect.
Food was fantastic, per usual! The 2 hostess were very pleasant but the outside waiter/host was a bit impersonal, almost not wanting to be there. Arno however was fantastic! Arno is always fun, pleasant and very welcoming!
I didn’t catch a our server’s name, but he was wonderful. Shared descriptive details about each menu item, helpful with avoiding gluten as I have an intolerance, very knowledgeable about the wine. The ambiance was exactly what I was aiming for in choosing a place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The concept of the restaurant being four course and having the wine pairings with each course was fabulous. The food was perfectly cooked and the flavors were divine. Having said that this is why I have the value the stars that I did- for the money spent, I should not have left hungry. (I’m a person that fully believes in portion control and taking time to eat to sense when I am full rather being a ravenous beast and inhaling my meal.) but several hundred dollars later and leaving with a feeling that I wasn’t quite full isn’t ideal.
Excellent food and wine pairing, great service and left very satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Very good waiting staff and amazing food. Highly recommend.
Exquisite food, service and ambiance. Wonderful expierencs
Food is a bit of a hit and miss. Some of the dishes are EXCELLENT and some leave a lot to be desired. Extremely expensive for such a risk that your food may not equal what you paid for it. Ambiance is great for a nice date! Wait staff is very attentive and helpful.
Overall great food but overwhelming duck dish, still good but definitely had higher expectations
Truly - could not have been better. One of the very finest dining experiences I've had in Chicago in, oh, years and years. Accomplished, unpretentious, and absolutely exquisite, end to end.
Fabulous!!! Excellent four course dinner and cocktails. We ate outside and it was mostly quiet, just the occasional music from a passing car. Not an issue. Food and drink are creatively prepared, delicious and beautifully presented.
it was an excellent experience, the 4 course menu and the wines
Came in on a Saturday night and had an amazing experience. We sat at the Bar and Keith provided us with outstanding service! The four course menu was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
It was awesome overall. Definitely worth one Michelin
Well balanced dishes with sensitivities to dietary restrictions (allergy or otherwise) accommodated as best as possible. Nothing felt rushed; spacing between courses was spot on. Enjoyed the relaxed dining environment.
The food was absolutely amazing. Really, the amount of flavor in each course was spectacular. That said, we didn't receive very good service, though we did see the tables on either side if us getting good service, so I guess it's hit or miss. It was too bad that such delicious food was accompanied by lackluster service, especially since it was such an important night for us.
Great value for a 4-course fixed price menu. Delicious dishes and thoughtful wine pairings.
The food is inventive and quite good. We had a problem with one of the courses and the staff quickly made us feel that we were heard and they appropriately dealt with it.
We had a great experience. Excellent food and drink. Staff was accommodating and fun
Fantastic! Will be back, soon
Wonderful food, excellent advice on wines in a lovely dining room
The supplements are there for a reason. Go for the chawanmooshi and the fried chicken.
Great atmosphere and food. A little pricey but if you're coming here then you should already be aware of the type of dining experience you're in for. Only downside is the dining room does get a little loud as the place fills up. Great for special occasions!
This is a very solid dining experience. Sepia features a strong menu backed with creative flavors that mostly get pulled off well and at a price point reasonable compared to its competition. I heartily recommend Sepia for anyone looking for a flavor adventure of Michelin calibre that won't break the bank.
The kampachi crudo, country fried truffle chicken, and duck breast were phenomenal. They had an adventurous mix of flavors and the execution was spot-on. You expect this type of creativity at a Michelin-starred place, and Sepia delivered.
There were some misses for us in the dessert and cocktails that we ordered. This is very much not a deterrent, but it needs to be mentioned in the interest of fairness. I would steer clear of the whole fruit chocolate dessert at present. I would like to see more cocktail options that are not based in bitter liquors or doused strongly in bitters.
As alway a 5 star experience
Both food and services are very good. We'll go to the restaurant again when we get a chance next time.
Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Good value.
The food was outstanding. Absolutely incredible. Service was excellent. But we were seated outside with ZERO ambiance - just a few tables and chairs on the street -no flowers, no decor at all, so that was unfortunate. In future reservations, I will be sure to request an indoor table.
Quality of food and cocktails is very different from a year ago. Used to be one of my favorites. My cocktail tasted medicinal. The food was okay with perfectly cooked meat but the flavors were uninspiring. The shift to a price fixe menu was disappointing as it unnecessarily made the meal very expensive.
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Specialty cocktails were fun and creative, the food was delicious and superb with every bite of every course, service was impeccable. Dining at Sepia was a wonderful experience!
Beverages and food were imaginative and well executed! Had a very enjoyable evening!
Best restaurant in Chicago. Best dining experience in Chicago. Just fantastic.
Amazing experience. Delicious food and friendly stuff
