Seven Stars Inn
We went for my younger son’s birthday and this place did not disappoint! Service was on point and the food was outstanding!
the place is in desperate need of updating.
Food was very good as was the wait staff
Order the queen cut filet. It was cooked correctly but lacked much flavor. Definitely needed some type of sauce, we should of ordered the bernaise but for an entree of over $50 the bernaise should not be almost 3.00 extra...it came with about 6 pieces of onion rings...would rather have been a vegetable....the cheddar cheese crackers were a nice touch but was disappointed they did not serve a more savory cracker...not a Keebler saltine...felt a more upscale restaurant should of done better...we were disappointed overall...both my husband and I felt that we probably will not be back....just felt that even though we have thought of Seven Stars Inn as a very special place...we felt it is tired out and needs some improvement to bring it back to its former glory.
Our food was excellent and the service was also.
Had dinner there Saturday night Nov 21st, my wife's steak was excellent, my Veal Parm was ok ! Our waiter was very good, very gracious and helpful. Not a weekly restaurant very expensive the bill came to $ 135.00 with the tip. Nice place for an occasion.
The service was excellent. The appetizers and soups were excellent. The main course was fair. The NY strip steak was very tough, difficult to cut and very chewy. The desserts and coffee was very good. Overall the cost of the dinner vs. the value of the dinner was not good.
The service, atmosphere, and food were absolutely perfect!
Great dinner; waitress not so knowledgeable as she should’ve been , though, and forgot to bring things. I think the restaurant was a little too crowded for the current pandemic conditions.
The service was awesome, and timing of each course was perfect. Nice atmosphere and the good was outstanding!
We were promptly escorted to our table and the server was prompt in taking our drink orders. Then we were given sufficient time to enjoy our drinks. The food was absolutley delicious and the prime rib, which I had was, as usual, large tender and tasty. My partner had Veal Oscar, which also was very good.
Another perfect evening everything was A+ First Class
Food and service was good and very generous portion sizes
Food and services was very good. My wife and I will definitely return for our wedding anniversary.
This was are 48th Wedding Anniversary and we went to Seven Stars on our First. We were please to celebrate in this specual plqce.
The service was amazing. One of the best meals of my life will definitely be back.
crackers stale, miss communication between waitress,s salad selection reduced will return in future
The food was excellent and the service spectacular
The food was hot and delicious and the deserts are outstanding!
My husband and I always enjoy coming to Seven Stars. The food, service and atmosphere is always great. This visit there was a dinner party so things were a little louder than normal, but it did not bother us.
The place was charming as always. We've been patrons for over thirty years. The food was excellent, but our waitress was a total disaster!
We asked for the wine list three times. One would think that a waitress could figure out how a bottle of wine would affect her tip, right?
My wife ordered her salad with the dressing on the side. It wasn't delivered that way. We ordered sautéed spinach and Bernaise sauce with dinner, neither of which arrived.
I ordered expresso with my desert, expecting to get them at the same time. Desert was over before the espresso arrived. Seriously, how long does it take to make an expresso.
Our receipt says server was Seber YVONNE. I think Yvonne might have been the young woman who saved the experience. She was the one who fixed everything that the waitress did wrong, including bringing the wine list and the missing dinner items.
Food was excellent. We were in a small room which was nice until a noisy party was seated in the room. Thankfully we were just about finished dinner.
Excellent dinner, massive portions, massive bill.
My sister and I went out for dinner for the first time in a long time and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The good was delicious and the service was great. Can’t wait to go back!!
We have a "girls night" at The Seven Stars Inn annually and absolutely love the food! This year's experience as far as service was great and as always the food was amazing!! If there was anything to improve on I would say the arrival is not very welcoming each year...we feel "off put" but deal with that attitude because the food is so worth it.
The virus obviously took it’s toll on service due to reduced number of employees and small cutbacks to save money
The food still outstanding
The food and portions are wonderful. It is pricey, but for a special occasion it’s perfect.
Excellent Food, Excellent service , Totally Class A++++ Restaurant
Started off on the wrong foot. There are dining areas upstairs and downstairs. I was taking my 82-year-old Dad there for his Birthday and he has a hard time climbing steps. They started taking us upstairs but we told them it was hard for him to climb. There were many empty tables on the main floor but we were told all tables were assigned and there was nothing they could do. I helped him get up the steps. When we got to the top, the greeter asked us where we would like to sit! (So tables were *not* assigned! People after us were also asked where they wanted to sit.) Dinner was okay. My Dad got the Scallops Dijon appetizer, Prime Rib (Medium) and Baked Potato. I got the New England Clam Chowder, Prime Rib (Medium Rare) and Au Gratin potatoes. My wife got the Alaskan Crab Bisque, New York Strip (Medium) and Baked Potato. The waitress mixed up the soups -- she asked who got the Bisque and placed it in front of my wife. When we started to eat we realized the waitress was wrong about which soup was which. My Dad seemed to enjoy the scallops. The meats were cooked as requested but were a little tough. My wife cut off a large piece to cut into smaller pieces and found that the piece was mostly fat! My Dad got a slice of cheesecake for dessert and we all had coffee, which was a nice brew. You should be aware that prices are higher than the online menu. I think we would have enjoyed our dinners a lot more than we did had we been accommodated with respect to the steps. The cheese and crackers were tasty as was the homemade bread. I was surprised they did not clear the table of crumbs between courses. That is something I expect from high-priced steakhouses. There is a lot of parking although parking is very tight near the main entrance. It might be better to park in the back if you can walk on uneven surfaces okay. This was our second time to visit (first time was about 5 years ago). I would recommend visiting once just because of the history of the Inn.
Friendly staff. Quiet atmosphere. Delicious food. Large portions.
Over priced. Place needs updates. Felt it did not meet Covid requirements - the place was packed there were spaces between tables did not feel confortable with that many people.
Great anniversary dinner!
The staff was phenomenal. They made a special night, absolutely perfect.
Excellent food and huge portions but you pay the high price for it. Also with all they charge their lot is not even paved so beware in bad weather. The service is wonderful, I had dropped my napkin and a new one was in my hand as I got up. House dressing is great and so was the veal parm and crab oscar and crab stuffed mushrooms.
Took my girlfriend who was looking for a lobster tail dinner in a romantic environment. Nearly had the place to ourselves and had an excellent meal. The service was especially good and made us feel very comfortable. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the dining room is very nice. I will return, as the experience was everything I was looking for
The filet was amazing. I would say Best filet I ever had.
The food was excellent. Service was fantastic. Only issue was one of the bus boys spilled water on the side of my dress and across our table. But didn't diminish the rest of the experience. He was young and seemed very nervous
Great place huge portions the price was good as well
Waiter was excellent.
Fantastic dinner, atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely coming back!
