   Advertised as brunch menu reservations, that was not the case. Could not order any brunch items said the breakfast closed at 11. The Cesar salad with the crispy chicken was one of the worst I’ve ever eaten in my life. Over dressed, wilted, peppered mess just disgusting.

   We did new years eve!!! Lots of people but I think we had the best seat. Wait staff was amazing and serving the regular menu was nice. We have done it twice and will do it again.

   Went for dinner on Christmas. There was only 1 server for the entire inside dining room, this service was painfully slow. The filet mignonette in the steak frites entre was tiny and not very good.

   Food and service were good, but I wish they would start the bands a little later, after 8pm, so people could enjoy a peaceful dinner. We were seated in the restaurant area, and after the music started, it got so loud we couldn’t hear each other at our table anymore… I’ll avoid this restaurant for dinner on weekends from now on :(

   We stayed at the Seacliff Inn for the first time, and it rained all day. Thank goodness the hotel has this lovely oasis. My family enjoyed lunch, dinner and breakfast which were all very good. Great selections and terrific wine list. It was a Saturday night, so there was live entertainment in the bar and the grown-ups could slip away for a night-cap. I would love to make this an annual family weekend and would definitely recommend Sevys. The service was very attentive and super friendly.

   If only a table had been prepared for us - they didn’t check my reservation, just showed me the door to the patio. If only the entrees were remotely as good as the apps. If only the Chinese chicken salad had more than a few scraps of extremely overcooked chicken, vegetables that didn’t taste as if they’d been made a week ago, and wasn’t mostly noodles. If only my partner’s fish taco didn’t stink of old fish. If only serving utensils had been provided for the shared appetizers. If only this mediocre service and bad food had not been so costly.

    Had reservations for Thanksgiving at 6:30. Was unaware that the buffet ended at 6:00. When I made the reservation online, there was no info posted or a menu. Menu offered after the buffet was terrible. Pretty much a happy hour menu, with only 3 entree options: fish or chicken tacos, fish and chips, or a burger. Kids said the burgers were good. Fish tacos were bland, though. It was cold in the dining room, with uncomfortable lighting: dimly lit, with contrasting overly bright Christmas decorations. The staff was friendly and apologetic, but it was an unpleasant experience, overall, especially for Thanksgiving.

    I booked 10 people for the Thanksgiving buffet. There was no food left and I was not called to be informed before we all arrived. We all had fish dishes instead and it was certainly not worth the price. Our family Thanksgiving was ruined. Very disappointed, to say the least.

    You people at opentalbe over charged me because I and a child in the party. You did not give an option for that. Also I was forced to prepay. when I was leaving I was chased down by the staff for not paying. I had already overpaid. thanks to opentable.

    The chopped Cobb salad was very tasty, so also the flavorful ranch dressing. The mixed greens were a little too delicate for the dressing which weighed them down becoming a little soggy by the end of the salad. More Romain and fewer mixed greens would solve this. The chicken could be improved. Atmosphere and service were very good. Thanks.

    Love the remodel and redecoration at Sevy’s. Eating out on the patio by the Koi pond is just delightful. We had a wonderful time enjoying happy hour and then a bit of dinner with a large group of nine. There was a bit of a gap because we stayed so long we moved from one waitress to the next, and for a while they seem to forget about us all together.

    Our servers were professional and attentive. We each had the salmon entree. The fish was cooked perfectly. However, the atmosphere is horrible. The remodel that was undertaken by the new owners of the property, Hilton Hotels, is abysmal. The former Serverino's now Sevy's is a sparse, space that resembles a warehouse with cafeteria tables and chairs scattered around the room. The room is noisy and it echos. We actually moved outside, which won't be possible during the winter. It is clear that under the new ownership there is no interest in creating a welcoming dining space to either hotel guests or members of the community. The adjacent bar area is also not inviting as evidenced by the majority of high top tables placed in that space. Seniors or families with young children are not able to safely utilize that kind of furniture. The only other option provided is a long banquet that faces inward, toward the bar (previously tables were placed by the windows allowing guests to enjoy the view of the patio on garden). The banquet resembles seats that one would find in a bus station. So disappointing to see a community asset turned into a space resembling a college cafeteria. But please note, that the staff was gracious and professional and our salmon dinner was good.

    I’ve always enjoyed going to Severino’s and have never been disappointed…until now. The food and ambience is still great, but the service was terrible. We had to wait 30 minutes before anyone noticed us, even though we had been seated. And to add insult to injury, the folks that came in after us got served first. We were about to walk out when a server finally arrived. She was quite pleasant, however, we continued to wait a long time for our drinks to arrive and finally dinner. After dinner I had to flag someone down to get the check and pay. It was disappointing and hope they look into hiring more staff or train the existing staff to at least check in with patrons and let them know they are running behind…or at least offer a free appetizer for the long and unacceptable wait.

    The outdoor seating area was beautiful overall and it was pretty empty when we went, which was pretty nice. But other than that we were a bit disappointed. Although the food options had sounded amazing, they were a bit disappointing in real life. The sandwich was a bit stale and cold, while the pasta was pretty bland. Surprisingly, the brussels sprout and pepper dish that we ordered on a whim was absolutely amazing and delicious. I honestly might go back for this one item. The service was okay. The staff were nice when we interacted with them, but they weren't really present. I'm nosy sure if it was because we were the only ones there at the time, but other than the times we were ordering, getting the food, or getting the check, our server never came outside to check on us. There were multiple times when I needed to walk inside to find someone to ask for something. So overall, we were a bit disappointed with our experience, but we still managed to have a decent time.

    We were there for a 75th birthday for a party of 8. Arrived at our check in time and they didn’t have a table setup for us outside. So I repeated that it was for outside. They fixed it but it was in an area where the draft was pretty cold for us all. We asked for additional heaters which took forever for them to get a second one going. Our server was okay, but personality check was needed. We are a fun lively bunch with questions…so when your server starts saying “sure, I have nothing better to do “ when asked a question ya kinda notice they aren’t concerned with their tip cause they know it’s a large party and tip will be added. Sadly, what he didn’t know is we normally add more to the 18% already added especially for a great attitude and service. Which sadly, he lacked both. Food overall was good. Skip the crème brûlée on the menu…worse! I have never tasted one like that before and I’m a pastry chef! Terrible. Everyone else enjoyed their meal and desserts. We stayed to listen to the band and our server could have made some extra money but never bothered to come check with us to see if we needed anything. So we had to go into the bar and request drinks. Again, missed opportunity for the server. We’d dine again especially if we are guests at the hotel. But again, I think their are better places to go.

    We returned to Sevy's for the first time since the name change on Saturday night for dinner and live music. Overall, it was a good time. The band was really fun. The food was generally good but not great. My advise here is to stick to the basics, like the burger, sliders, tacos. The short rib is typically good as well. Unfortunately when our food came out this visit, my wife's short rib plate was missing. Our waitress only let us know then that they had completely run out of short rib (On Saturday night at 7:45 pm). So we picked out something else, and the kitchen rushed out a very sloppy and uneven replacement dinner. One mistake compounded by another. Once the band started playing the service dropped off significantly. No discount offered for the screw up. I expect better service than this. The band "Tsunami" was a lot of fun.

    Not real accommodating. The only place that looked comfortable to sit was outside. Inside dining did not look comfortable. It was a bunch of tables inside a bar just there to seat someone who didn't want to sit outside, which was cold the night we were there.

    Their remodeled dining room is all hard surfaces with no attempt at sound attenuation and therefore as noisy as a prison cafeteria . It was visually harsh and unattractive as well. The service was slow and inattentive. We showed up five minutes before our reservation and the hostess was a no show at the reception stand for over twenty minutes, eventually seating us a half hour after our reservation for brunch. Ordered coffee when we were seated which came fifteen minutes later after twice reminding passing wait staff that we had ordered coffee. It finally came without silverware, sweetners or so much as a spoon. I could go on and on but you get the gist. Overall, one of the more unpleasant dining experiences in recent memory.

    Beautiful setting, the restaurant is inside of the resort hotel. The menus is really limited, not much choice. My husband ordered 3 taco combo $19.00 is kind of hight price for what he got. Mine was braised beef rib $28.00. It was good enough.

    Beautiful outdoor dining with a pond, waterfall, trees and beautiful food presentation with choices for every palette. They also had live music on Saturday night with spirited dancing by the patrons. A great night!

    I wasn't expecting the food to be so good, because it has only 4 stars of 5, but this place was fantastic. The outdoor sitting was tranquil with a pond with a cute duck and fish. The inside was chic and the cocktails looked good. The desert was delicious. I'd definitely come back next time in Aptos.
