The food was fabulous and so was the service. Lovely feel to the place.

Quality gastropub with numerous eating rooms, including an outdoor heated area.

The food was good quality but over priced and rather small portions too. The choice of food was a rather limited menu, not even a pork or chicken dish. We had a table in a draft and couldn't hear each other for noisy conversation between staff and customer. I had to sit sideways as I couldn't get my legs under the table. Not the romantic anniversary meal I was looking forward to.

Went for the two course Sunday lunch. The service was excellent from staff very helpful and friendly. Meal I thought was poor, two very thin slices of beef and the food was not hot enough. I had cheesecake for dessert, very small portion. Not worth the money.

This was our second time here and it didn't disappoint! Genuinely beautiful ambience in sumptuous surroundings, and the food is first class. Exciting cuisine with bags of verve. My fish and ginger mash was a joy. Fabulous service too, warm and welcoming.

Often eat here and quality of food and service, though a little slow is always good.
On this occasion there was a problem with food not being hot. It was dealt with straight away and returned hot and replated. Game pie....delicious.

Decided to eat out and experience is very good

After a lovely meal in August for our anniversary we chose Shibden Mill Inn again for my husbands birthday. We were greeted in a friendly manner and all covid precaution and track and trace were in place. We enjoyed our nibbles, starters and mains. However, after our mains, we were left for over 30 minutes without being offered more drinks or a desert menu, yet the table behind us was offered both. After 35 minutes we just asked for the bill and left, slight dampener on an otherwise lovely meal. The food again was fantastic and we are looking forward to afternoon tea later in the month.

Latest visit was during Covid 19 pandemic and it felt very safe.

Have they got a new chef??? The food isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. Fish and chips were very overcooked both times weve had it. Sunday lunch this week wasn’t very hot and think the Yorkshire puddings were frozen??! We normally love it here but were really disappointed this time. Even the girls serving us were unfriendly. No interaction or conversation. Not happy. Sorry I never leave bad reviews but feel it needs addressing before standards slip further.

Very nice as ever. So lucky to have this fantastic venue so near home. Wish I was not driving or I would have stayed longer and enjoyed it even more!!

Bit of a slow start, as not asked about a drink when we arrived early and then order got lost after getting to the table. Once things got going everything was great and shows how paying a little more can be so worth while. Both the Beef and Ham Sunday lunch options were lovely and a great wine selection. Only small suggestion is wouldn’t put thick brioche with parfait.

I had a voucher for £40 for a meal so we decided we’d go for Sunday lunch. We were very surprised when we saw the price of the Sunday lunch, advertised as 2 courses £25, 3 courses £30! My husband chose a starter & lamb & I chose beef & a dessert. When the mains came, yes they looked ‘ok’ but they weren’t very warm, warm enough to eat, but not hot. We didn't make a fuss & ate it. We should have done what the people on the table next to us did & complain, because when theirs came theirs were obviously not hot either because they had theirs taken back!! My husbands starter, the fish cake, was lovely & my dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was very nice (2 blobs of ice cream would have been more acceptable for the price!)
I wouldn’t normally give negative reviews but for the Sunday lunch we did feel it was expensive for what it was.

The food was excellent, great quality, just delicious! The ambience was lovely, we had a great table for 2, upstairs! The service was excellent, our server Lucy was fantastic, informative and professional. We will be returning again as soon as we can! Highly recommend.
