"Bringing Gluten-Free Soba to the People"

The Japanese word “soba” refers both to the buckwheat plant as well as the noodles made from buckwheat flour. Soba is typically served in a hot aromatic broth topped with chicken, tempura prawns or a selection of vegetables or served cooled on an elegant bamboo tray with delicate dipping sauce.

Soba is one of the world’s most nutritious food and an abundant source of protein. Containing a well-balanced combination of amino acids, it has the highest protein make-up than any of the grains and is also rich in vitamin. Additionally, soba is low in fat and high in dietary fibre.

Soba’s long and slender shape has come to symbolise stability and longevity. It is traditional in Japan to eat soba (toshi-koshi soba) on New Year’s Eve to acknowledge the passing of the old year and to welcome in the new.

    I booked a table for 4 but I found that the table has 4 seats next to each other and wasn't comfortable at all. also, it was very hard to read the menu and I had to use my phone torch to see the menu. the food was nice but expensive for what it has

    Absolutely incredible meal. The bowls are a bit pricey, however they are very generous with the contents (sashimi etc.) so it’s worth it. The sushi bowl was amazing. I also like the options for smaller plates, and there was a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Thank you so much!

    Our first time to Shimbashi and we really wish we'd discovered it sooner! The menu was a hit with our group, and the gluten-free buckwheat soba noodles and tempura took me right back to the amazing soba and tempura that I experienced in Osaka. The food was fresh, delicious, and arrived quite quickly. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and the vibe was fun and relaxed.

    They provide a cozzy environment with the glimpse of Japanese artistic decorations. Food is delicious and tastes healthy. We all like it a lot!
