Enjoyed our dinners. Husband loved the sashimi/sushi I loved the gyoza and noodles
The sushi was unique and very delicious!!! Great place!!!
Shino is a hidden gem - amazing food, great drinks awesome service.
Hanna our waitress was very nice, funny and informative. drink selection was great, as was the selection of Saki. Sushi was very fresh.
Good, not great. The ambience is the low light, almost diner-ish tables. Food was good, service ok.
My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. Although there were tables available, we chose to sit at the sushi bar. Our waitress was friendly, the drinks were excellent and the food was amazing. Unfortunately, sitting at the sushi bar allowed us to see that some Shino staff are not very happy or competent, and we watched a couple of minor arguments between wait staff and the sushi chefs. Our service was fine, but we saw finished sushi plates sitting for 15 minutes, waiting to be delivered to the tables. Next time we go, we will sit at a table or at the bar. The food is worth it!
I don’t know what they do to the salmon but it’s definitely blessed by at least a minor deity. Ambience is simple but classy, staff is helpful and attentive, and the food is amazing. The owners also clearly care about their craft and are very pleasant people.
We go to Shino for every special event in our family: every single dish we've ordered has been outstanding, from the amazing appetizers such as the Shino Wings and Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, to the specialty makis (we love the Po Boy, Mount Shino, and Easton), to the udon noodle and fried rice dishes. Delicious cocktails too!
Hard to imagine a better sushi restaurant in the area. Quiet at lunch, quick service, sushi was very good and the pork buns were amazing. Would highly recommend.
Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. My son attends Stonehill College and we were looking for someplace different in the area to try. We were very pleased and would highly recommend.
First visit there, waitress Hannah was so pleasant and had great recommendations. We started with a few apps favorite being the yellowtail with truffle oil... delicious. Least favorite was the tuna tartare, too small for the price and lacking flavor. Then had a few maki rolls which were good and reasonably priced.
Met the manager Amanda as well who was very nice too.
We had a great experience at Shino! Our cocktails were delicious (I especially recommend the lychee martini) and we had a blast cooking our own Wagyu beef on a hot stone! We also tried a ton of sushi and it was all delicious and very fresh. Our waitress was lovely and accommodating. The atmosphere was great. Will definitely be going back!
Absolutely the best sushi around here. Very fresh fish and innovative plating make it a pleasure. Also a great value in the world of sushi.
Amazing fresh fish. Definitely would be back again!
Always a great time at Shino. Delightful staff, personalized service with attentive waitstaff and a very quick turn around for all sorts of amazing food.
For the first time ever, we went into Shino for dinner on a weekend and it was essentially empty. We thought that was strange as it has been packed every time we visited. 2 of the 4 of us ordered meals off the menu and 2 of us ordered sushi. All the food came out piecemeal, and I never received my sushi. We asked about it 3 times and it still never came. Then we said forget it.. just bring us the check because everyone else was done eating. They took my sushi off the check and brought it to me in a take home back where it was spilled all out of the container in the bottom, so we left it behind anyway. Very disappointed
Food was amazing. The sushi was delicious, our appetizers and sides were perfect. I cannot recommend Shino enough and this is coming from a picky eater! Even the cocktails were delicious. I highly recommend the pork belly ramen bowl or steamed buns.
Shino is our go to place in Easton-- food and service is always great!
Pork belly steamed buns and gyoza were delicious.
Great service, tasty and sushi, solid drinks. Ambiance could use a little improvement.
Great hospitlaity from management to sushi chefs to wait staff
We LOVE this place. We have been three times and twice we did the 8 course option. Every single bite was amazing. They do a fabulous job. Plus they are all so friendly. We had an amazing experience again. We look forward to going back.
This is by far the best Japanese restaurant in the area. Always terrific surprise specials - fresh and creative. And the drinks are exceptional.
Food and service was great, really enjoyed the night
Food was delicious!
Sushi was great! Took a few minutes of looking at the menu to understand it, but it was overall a fantastic experience.
It was crowded for a Sunday night and there was only one waitress service was very slow!!
Excellent & creative food. Server was very knowledgable and gave great recommendations on food. Service was lacking. Food took a little while and the place wasn't busy. When we said we were done they tried to offer us drinks twice and were upset that we didn't want them. Then they gave us free shots.
This is our second visit to Shino and we seem to be encountering the same issues every time we go. The wait for our meals both times has been unusually long. The kitchen is always backed up and they do tell us that. It's not a large restaurant and I just don't understand how they can't figure out how to manage their kitchen. The food is good but not sure if we will return anytime soon.
This is my second time at Shino. This time was for a large group for a b'day celebration. This place is outstanding. We tried so many things on the menu and every one was amazing. From appetizers, to entrees, to noodle bowls and sushi to dessert. I can't say enough about this place. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.
Love this place! Great creative dishes, fresh sushi, and very nice helpful friendly staff .
My kids like sushi and ordered the Mount Shino, spicy tuna, California, and caterpillar maki. I don't care for Sushi and have dietary restrictions that they accommodate well. I had seared salmon with steamed mixed vegetables (gluten, dairy and sugar-free). It was delicious. Food is fresh and beautifully plated. I have also had the Salmon Teriyaki before, which has a homemade gluten-free Teriyaki sauce. They are very good about accommodating Celiac and the staff know which plates are safe or not.
Everything at Shino is perfect, from the creative cocktails to the melt-in-your-mouth sushi and sashimi. Love the lettuce wraps, fried rice, and ramen noodles too!
In January my family: 2 daughters, husband & I, went to Shino on a Saturday nite. We had already met the waiter on New Years Eve when we went to Shino w/friends. He was in training at that time. So now he was our waiter & took our order. But he came back in 5 min. because he wasn't sure if he had taken our order correctly. So I went through his notes, corrected a couple items. I was grateful I could correct those items, assuming we just avoided an incorrect order. He brought out our 1st appetizer but he brought "Hamachi Jalapeno". We had asked for "Hamachi Kama" (on his notes it was written correctly). So it took awhile to get our appetizers: "Chicken Wings" & "Hamachi Kama". My younger daughter (15) had ordered "Spicy Tuna Maki" & "Salmon SKIN Maki". It took awhile when he brought out the 1st "Spicy Tuna Maki" then (after 15 min) he brought the other half of her meal "Salmon Maki". But we told him that wasn't what we ordered. He came back 5 min. later to inform us that they didn't have "Salmon Skin Maki". He asked her if the plain "Salmon Maki" was sufficient. She requested another "Spicy Tuna Maki". Meanwhile our order for my husband and me finally came, but w/o 4 items we had ordered. Our older daughter waited patiently for her meal, which took over 50 min. to arrive. She had ordered the "Chef's Combo". By that time my younger daughter, husband and I had finished our order (except the 4 missing items), my daughter ate alone. Finally the last 4 items arrived, which was "Uni Maki". 1st, it wasn't served correctly. 2nd, it looked like it had been sitting around for days, not fresh. The Uni wasn't a brilliant or soft yellowy-orange color. It was brown, not plump. This is an item my husband & I love, we purchase this often. I am Japanese, so this items is definitely NOT new to my pallet. We sent it back. The hostess insisted it was fresh. She finally removed the "Uni Maki" off our bill. Conclusion: We sat together but we ate separately.
Always fantastic , one of my favorite sushi restaurants
We have tried and tried Shino, sometimes it is wonderful, sometimes it is awful. The service and quality is so in consistant. We took guests there after a very good visit and the next visit was awful Service was slow, it wasn't busy that night, and the portions were skimpy for the price. Not going back
I have loved Shino since it opened. The food is exceptional; among all my family members, I think we've had everything on the menu. Unfortunately, the service seems to be struggling. While all the staff members are courteous and cordial, they struggle with balanced service when the restaurant is more than 70% full. We ordered four appetizers for three people. Two arrived, then after a while a third. The fourth was delivered with one of the entrees, which made the entree superfluous. The third entree didn't arrive with the other two. I had to follow up and ask, and was greeted with a surprised expression from the server that made me wonder if the order had actually been placed. The entree arrived when two of our party were more than 50% done with our meals. It's hard to say if this is a kitchen issue, a management issue, or something else. I don't feel like I should have to ask that our meals be served at the same time, and that appetizers arrive before entrees.
Maybe I won't go on friday nights anymore. I'd hate to give it up. I really do love their food.
Loved this restaurant!! Highly encourage you give it a try. We can’t wait to go back!!
The sushi is excellent and creatively presented. Food is reasonably priced. There was no wait. I will definitely go there again.
