Brilliant Friday lunch, excellent food and great service

We had the taster menu. For £69 the food was pricey but the taste was absolutely heavenly. Absolutely must go! Scenic view to the river. Outstanding service. Make sure you get your car registration number validated upon entrance itself or you could be sent a parking fine.

Sindhu always represents excellent value for money. It's my favourite Indian restaurant outside of India.

Lovely choice from set menu. A starter and pudding would have been enough though.

Reserved a table at Sindhu's restaurant for my Dad's birthday. Dad was sad that he wasn't able to travel to India this year due to Covid, so I wanted to take him for a special Indian meal to give him an experience to look forward to. Sindhu does the basics really well - the bread, dahl, sides were delicious. My dad was especially happy with the taste of the lamb curry and said it reminded him of his travels. I found the price of the main dishes quite expensive for what we had, but I highly recommend this experience as a gift or for a special event. The staff also remembered it was my Dad's birthday, without having to remind them they brought out a lovely dessert & candle which made the night extra special. Friendly & helpful staff - thank you!

We've been to Sindhu before so knew what to expect. The food was good but not outstanding as I remember it from a while back. Service was good but bordering on too intrusive. We don't need to be asked 2-3 times if our food is OK.

Amazing meal, food as good as ever and service highly attentive. Tables were very close together though which I was not expecting in the current circumstances.

We went for 3 course menu with a voucher we had. Loved the ambience of the place and the food was amazing. Definitely will be back.

Superb meal and service

Unbelievable food. We had a 7 course the normal and vegetarian tasting menu. Garlic turbot was the best dish on the menu. Very accommodating service, we were celebrating our engagement and the staff were very friendly and gave us a complimentary dessert which was a lovely gesture. We’d highly recommend to anyone.

Not a cheap restaurant, but never disappoints. We ate off the festive lunch menu, which was not quite as it appears on the website, which was a little disappointing.

Excellent food in a great location with very pleasant atmosphere. Overall experience slightly damaged by slow drinks service, and difficulty understanding foreign waiting staff.

A delicious experience of top class Indian cuisine. We chose the taster menu and enjoyed the different food put in front of us.
All in all a great time.

The ambience at Sindhu is very plush, especially the decor with colourful lamps lifted our moods instantly. Tables were spaced out enough to make us feel comfortable with covid distancing.

Service could’ve been better, with servers more aware about popular dishes, spice levels and descriptions. However, they were very courteous & polite and they made up for it with the surprise birthday cake I had requested for my friend’s birthday. Beautifully executed!

Food was uber delicious - we ordered prawns & chicken 65 for starters - both melted in the mouth and were full of subtle flavours. Mains involved Garlic Turbot for most and the Malabar seafood platter for one. Sumptuous! Dessert choices could be better - especially something warm in the cold weather. We had masala chai instead.

Would certainly visit again, and have already recommended Sindhu to our friends :-)

Lovely ambience overlooking the Thames. Very nice food and great staff. A must visit restaurant.

The food at Sandhurst was fantastic, I cannot fault it at all!

We had an excellent anniversary lunch in a beautiful setting with an authentic decor that reflected the southern Indian cuisine. The menu, small but varied, served in generous portions was delicious. The staff in this restaurant were warm and genuine, attentive in a relaxed way. This was our third visit and we will definitely come to Sidhu again. We had the added benefit of meeting the very charming Atul Kochar.

Enjoyed our trip to Sindhu where the views from the dining room are spectacular across the weir and the Thames. The food and service were very good as we would expect in an Atul Kochhar restaurant but we would put Kanishkar marginally ahead having visited that one before the lockdown.

Have visited sindhu on several occasions and have always enjoyed every experience, unfortunately this visit missed the mark!

We felt as though we were sat in a canteen, they have had extensively had new pendent lights installed, the lights and bulbs were so bright that it a spoilt the whole ambience and experience. We did ask if they could be turned down but were advised they couldn’t.

Unfortunately we won’t be visiting again.

We dined here for my 50th birthday, despite the 10pm the curfew the food arrived in a timely manner. Nice food, tasty options and good service
