   Very disappointed with the afternoon tea. We arrived 10mins early table was ready so was out in a table that wasn’t big enough for my party. Was my offered any drinks while we waited my husband had to stand the whole time. Table was actually late getting set. Sat down wasn’t offered anything again. Eventually drinks came, not enough milk for the 5 of us, Had to ask for more. Food came only sandwiches as the savoury, one tiny jam between 3 of us, had to ask for extra along with more cream and had to ask for butter. No spoons for dessert had to ask for them. Then had to ask for more hot drinks, never offered any more Prosecco. Toilets had too ok toilet paper in, was told by another customer we needed to get hand paper towels to use as toilet roll. So disappointed with everything today, i was excited to take my mum and mother in law for the afternoon tea but was highly disappointed with the experience.

   Food was average at best. Lack of presentation and very basic. On the booking I made the restaurant aware it was an occasion and this was not acknowledged even though we had a banner on the table. Staff not attentive and quite annoyed if you asked for anything. We asked for water for the table and got 1 glass we had to laugh. The cost of a standard afternoon tea was £25. Our bill for 3 was £85 (1 champagne and 1 Prosecco) They added an £8.50 service charge. I completely believe in tipping if you go above your station but just putting the food out is part of the job. This places feels like more of a cafe than a restaurant through the day. There’s no attention to detail at all. I certainly wouldn’t chose it for a special occasion as nothing was particularly special. Overpriced based on being part of the Baltic I’d would say (views are actually any good from the ladies toilet or from the front room which I believe is for special events)

   Back in Newcastle for the first time since Covid and back at Six Baltic. Just as good as we remembered, great food and excellent service.

   We went for the early evening menu at 1730. Staff were delightful and very attentive. The food was wonderful and plenty of it. Nice crisp vegetables and all served promptly. I would highly recommend. We will certainly be back

   5 of us had the 'Lunch Menu' 2 courses for £17.50. Excellent value, lovely food in a fab setting overlooking the Quayside on a bright sunny day. Friendly service from great staff. Quiet relaxing environment.....unlike my guests 😂

   Disappointing. Interesting menu let down by poor execution. First courses were good. Both main vegan options sounded good but both Pithivier and Aubergine dishes needed a much lighter touch. Service initially OK but unable to cope as place got busier.

    Lunch at Six was a really delightful experience. The setting and high views of Newcastle and the Tyne are gorgeous, with tasteful contemporary decor, lots of greenery, and even a floor to ceiling glass wall in the Ladies! Service was friendly and helpful, perhaps a bit slow occasionally but nothing to complain about. And the food was terrific: fresh, imaginative, and wonderful flavours and textures. The 20 pounds for three course menu is amazing value. I will now plan all trips to the Baltic around lunch at Six.

    The view is excellent on an evening with views of the bridges and the Quayside. The a la carte menu was excellent, and the food did not disappoint. My partner and I had two courses each and we shared a dessert. My partner had two large glasses of wine and I was on tonic water, as the designated driver: Meal came to £120. It is more expensive, so it's a special occasion place, however the food was excellent and the atmosphere felt like you were in an exclusive restaurant - plenty of room between tables. The customer service was excellent too. Highly recommended.

    Afternoon tea with prosecco was delightful and beautifully presented. Not huge portions but enough to satisfy appetite with delicate, delicious small cakes and scones. Staff friendly, nice ambience with great views over river tyne, though you cant see the bridges unless you go to the viewing platform, using the lift. Parking was an issue as their car park was full on a Sunday afternoon.

    Went for an afternoon tea with my mum for the first time and ended up not impressed. The food was delicious and fresh, but the positives end there. Our pot of tea was brought to us first and sat on the table for 10 minutes before the food came, so the tea became rather lukewarm by the time we got to the top tray. The overall atmosphere lacked a wow factor and gave an impression of a canteen rather than a sophisticated sought-for restaurant. This was facilitated by the staff who, instead of picking the chairs up from the floor to rearrange them, kept dragging them and making noise right next to us, making it difficult to enjoy what could have been a nice experience. What really did it for me is a tea spoon that seems to belong in the kitchen - complete lack of attention to detail. I don't think I will be coming back.

    If you are visiting Newcastle this restaurant must be on your list. Its wonderful location with views down and along the Tyne. Its attentive customer focused staff help make the venue feel so good. Not of course forgetting the dining experience, culinary imagination deployed to bring you wonderful first class dishes that look great and taste even better!

    It was OK, I expected more from a prestigious restaurant. 1 pot of jam and cream, for 3 guests with 6 scones between them, had to ask for more. Good choice of sandwich fillings, and bread types. Unfortunately I didn't like most of the cake choices. Staff very helpful, and shame about weather as views spectacular on a sunny day.

    Friday lunch. We were a little unsure as had seen reviews re poor service & cold. Our experience was very different! The food was lovely. We ate from the set menu. Complimentary focaccia, oil & balsamic was very welcome. The goats cheese & beetroot starter with crispy nuts was delicious. As was the little cheese soufflé with chicory, pear & walnut salad. The coconut rice pudding was also lovely- perfect texture, with just a tiny bite in the rice & a delicious lemon curd & mango on the top. What a treat! All was beautifully presented in a wonderful space, with friendly & attentive service. The restaurant has addressed the issues of cold & now have a very effective heater. It was also very good value. Thank you, Six! I’ll be back……!

    First time having bottomless brunch at Six and it is one of the best I’ve been to. Very attentive with the drinks, hadn’t even finished one and there was another one produced. The food was really nice and the perfect sized portions. Overall a great experience.

    We came with a voucher for Prosecco Brunch. A table for two was made available with a view of the Quayside. We ordered coffee and then the Full English breakfast from the menu. When the food arrived it looked a full plate. The poached eggs were cold and the tomatoes very salty. We asked about the prosecco and were told that that was not "on the system". But two glasses were brought and they kept our voucher. We mentioned the cold eggs at the end but there was just a brief apology.
