Great restaurant for the food and view of DC. I would go back and recommend the restaurant. The service was a little slow; they may have been understaffed.
Always a terrific place to take out of town guests.
food was great!!! One of best restaurant I been too
The food was the worst I have ever paid for and the most expensive.the risotto tasted like rice w cheese wiz
The view is great and the space is wonderful , but do yourself a favor and just get a burger or something they don’t have to try on.
The service was great
Supercool rotating restaurant with outstanding views. The vents on the floor next to the tables is not a great idea as the a/c blows right on you and creates a less than desirable experience. Also, the parking validation didn’t work when we exited the garage. Food was great, service was ok, and the drinks were excellent!
Gorgeous view on a lovely night. Great food and service. Excellent choice foe a lovely dinner in town.
The view is great for starters. Beyond that the service and food were excellent.
Lovely food with amazing views BUT the Aircon was blasting out cold air - constantly. Many people sat with coats on - a party of three appeared to have left due to the temperature. Despite several requests to sort it out ... it remained very very cold
First of all, the view was absolutely AMAZING! Second, the food was PHENOMENAL! I will be back! Our server was very friendly! You all exceeded my expectations!
We sat for 3 hours in the freezing cold, unfortunately. The air blowing from the vents by the windows was simply too cold making it very difficult to enjoy our birthday dinner. Others around us looked uncomfortable as well as they continued to rub their arms and stay bundled up in their jackets. Otherwise, as usual, we enjoyed good wait staff and tasty food.
I was seated immediately because I had reservation. Waitress took my order and brought my drinks to the table immediately but....... after 45 minutes I still had not received my food so WE LEFT! The chef was too busy with a lager party😡 really..... I was not there with a food voucher or credit card I had cash.
I gave my parking ticket to the waitress to validate it so I don’t have to pay at the exit since we stay less than two hours at Skydome but she didn’t do right and at the exit I need to pay again $24 it was disappointing
Great view , service friendly but a bit slow, food was very good but over priced.
I visit several times and every time it’s excellent. Robert is always friendly and professional. Great location and ambiance. This is a great restaurant with amazing city views.
Great ambiance, great food, okay service. Great for dates. Good views of the city. Not a bad table in the house. Expensive.
Muy lindo el lugar, muy buen servicio pero, ojalá y tuvieran más opciones de comida para vegetarianos
Was given wrong plate, then after 45 minutes delay was given the correct plate but I asked for well done meat not medium rare. Horrible experience for date night.
Great atmosphere with a fantastic view of the city.
Beautiful view, great food and service, the drinks were amazing. Wonderful ambiance. I will definitely be returning.
We were staying at the hotel where this restaurant is located. Given that, it was a decent meal. The views were spectacular, but aside from that an overall so-so meal. My fish was straight from Sysco, and the crab gratin skimpy, and contributed nothing special. The burger was overcooked and nothing you couldn't get anywhere. The goat cheese fritters were good. All in all I'd eat here again, but only after a long travel day, and if staying at the DoubleTree.
I love the hotel and the view of DC. The restaurant was nice but a little antiquated. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. The fact that you are very slowly spinning while viewing the Potomac River, the Pentagon, the Boeing company, and DC traffic is lovely. Still the decor was 80's and needed updating. Overall I liked the restaurant and would stay in the hotel and dine there again.
Everyone should go to the Skydome Restaurant - once. The view is just fantastic - you can see pretty much all of DC. But the food and cocktails aren't very good. Our grandkid's chicken tenders were so peppery that she couldn't eat them. My entree was completely bland; my wife's was so spicy she only ate a few bites. The cocktails were pretty bland and watery, too, and mine filled only about half a martini glass - but they cost an astonishing $15 each. If you go with low food expectations and just take in the view, you'll have a great time.
But my waitress was terrible . I have been coming for 10 years now. I ordered some starters with my wife . The food came and we ate and the busboy picked up the plates and gave us new utensils . My waitress came by and gave just the same staters that we had already ate 30mins ago. Only thing that came fast was my check. And she had a table next to us. So she should of been around more often.
I enjoyed going to the restaurant. I would’ve preferred to have a seat by the window, but even though it wasn’t full There was no way for me to be accommodated to sit by the window, even when a table opened up. Other than that it was really nice, I really loved the New York cheesecake, my Riesling wine is chilled to perfection. I had The risotto, it was good but a little bit on the salty side. But they had a good portion size. I would return, hopefully I will get a seat next to the window so I can get a better view. It was hard to get pictures from the second row. And I was the only one in the second row.
Great food, amazing view, really cold. We came with friends and had fun talking about all the things we could see. We enjoyed the Brussels sprouts appetizer, but we were talked into ordering the tempura cauliflower as well and we didn't enjoy it -- too spicy. At any other restaurant, I would have expected our server to remove it from the check, but that didn't happen. Our parking was supposedly validated, but when I left the garage, I was charged the full $24. The third strike was the temperature of the restaurant. We would have stayed for coffee and dessert but we were all too cold. We all loved our entrees, which included New York Steak, Filet Mignon and Rockfish with Crab Gratin. So, I do recommend coming for the view and the food. Just dress warmly and get a ride.
We were seated immediately with a reservation. Our waitress was not very friendly. Our appetizer, the Crab Croquettes, were divine. We had three mixed drinks which were good, but nothing special. Our food was vastly under seasoned, and not very warm.
The view is amazing, and you really get a good amount of time to look all around as you rotate around the restaurant.
Overall I would say it was just okay. For the amount of money we spent, we could have had a much better time elsewhere.
It was amazing. I really enjoyed myself and my date had a wonderful time as well. Well worth the money.
Can't beat the view overlooking DC. The Blue Crab Croquettes and the Lobster Bites were very good starters. The Rockfish with Crab Gratin and the Quinoa Stir Fry were also both very nice. Highly recommend for visitors who want to get a nice view of the DC.
The view was good. Not as good as the pictures portrayed. The restaurant only had about 4 tables with guests when I arrived. The server was nice, but not attentive. I never got a second glass of water and had to wait a long time for my bill when I was clearly done eating for awhile. Overall, would not recommend.
Best place to unwind for your busy day! And the view...? No questions about it!
My spouse and I shared the Short Rib and chocolate cake for dessert. The restaurant moved around to where you could see the Pentagon, Capitol Hill, and the Washington Monument. We went at sunset so we were able to see the transition of the city lights. What a lovely evening.
Great place for drinks and the best view of DC at night. The drinks are excellent, but the food is mediocre. Great place to take friends to see the DC lights.
We went to celebrate my fiancé birthday and had an amazing time. The food was delicious and I’m still thinking about those lobster rolls. The best lobster rolls I’ve ever had! Great service, ambience and food.
It was a bit cold. Food was great. View was great.
The view is absolutely amazing!
The restaurant itself takes about 45mins to do a complete revolution, so you’ll always have the best seat in the house!
The Tomahawk Ribeye Steak was not exactly worth the price... but I had to give it a try!
The food is way over priced I don’t know if you pay for the experience but that isn’t all that great either
Excellent views and great food!
Great way to end the night with amazing views of DC
Everything was cooked exquisitely! The views are one of kind. It was noticeably colder at the tables near the AC vents by the windows.
Views are great, except when you’re looking into people’s apartments. Service was ok, not great but not bad either. The food was meh, it wasn’t mouth watering but it wasn’t bland either.
