    We started with the Smoked Avocado Deviled Eggs & Pork Brunt Ends. The Smoked Avocado added a nice twist to traditional Deviled Eggs. The Brisket Platter was to die for! It was perfected cooked and full of melt in your mouth deliciousness. But don’t sleep on the Firebird Chicken Salad. The smokiness of the Chicken was so wonderful. The salad was very large and could easily be shared with 2-4 diners. Our Server & Bartender was friendly, attentive and a perfect Host. Please support this local jewel the food is great!

    Tbh idk why this spot is so highly rated. Food was mid, meat didn’t have much flavor, just a bunch of overpriced meat. Mac and cheese looked good but didn’t really taste that great

    The food was great, possibly overpriced but every item we ordered was good. The service was less impressive however. We sat at the bar and the bartender was not very attentive but also forgetful at times despite it being pretty slow, averaging 5-6 people at the bar at any given time. The rest of the staff didn’t seem to care if we were there or not either. I usually judge a new place by the food and all else is less important. In this though I don’t think id go back.

    SO glad we decided to get an Uber from the Capital Mall area in DC to have dinner here! Huge portions, excellent flavors, variety of bbq sauces to try, mini cornbread with butter while you wait for dinner, great drinks, and the server was fabulous! If/when we are every visiting the area this will be a must return place for good Bbq!

    Had a reservation for 6:30. Arrived at 6:31 and they were unprepared to seat us in a mostly empty restaurants at 6:30 on a Friday. Waited for a while for our waiter to come by, when he did he just dropped off waters. Didn’t say there was a QR code menu, introduce himself or ask if we wanted anything other than water. We asked to have a shade pulled down because our table was in the direct sunlight of the sunset, but the shade was broken so we had to shift around to the other side of the table while my wife got up to lower the remaining shades. The food was out quickly, but we had to get up to get the BBQ sauces off the other table. Last, we had to go look for someone to pay. Overall the food was really, really good! However for the price, the service should be much, much better.

    Decent atmosphere and solid casual dining experience. Our server Chris was great, very warm and attentive. The food itself was ok, not truly phenomenal, but the brisket eggrolls and pork belly burnt ends appetizers were very good. Loved their selection of bbq sauces.

    Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We had a great Father’s Day dinner. The brisket plates and mashed potatoes were delicious as was the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw. The sauce selection was great and the apple cobbler is not to be missed.

    The meat was great - and definitely deserving of the awards won. We had a very pleasant sever, however she was knew and not thoroughly trained (no reflection on her, rather leadership). The sides and desserts could both use some work - cornbread that’s served as an app was extremely dry and chalky. The banana pudding had a unique texture that wasn’t to my preference, but others may like. We wanted to try the s’more’s brownie but after waiting 20+ minutes for it to come out it was sent to the wrong table, the person who brought it out took it to the wrong table, left it, came back out and then tried to bring it to our table after it had been sitting in front of another guest. We sent it back and told them we didn’t want it because it had been sitting in front of another table and they took it to the kitchen and sent it right back with our server. That was careless, unsanitary, and inconsiderate. They also don’t have wet naps which is odd for a barbecue restaurant. There aren’t even paper towels in the bathroom which I know is common, however if you’re a barbecue restaurant and don’t have wet naps you’d think there would at least be paper towels in the bathroom to thoroughly clean hands. I can’t say I wouldn’t return but am sharing as these are minor improvements that I believe could add to the experience.

    We drive almost 2 hours to eat here and it is sooo worth it. We are returning customers because the food is great and our very first experience was so over the top as far as customer service. We are grateful because our return visits haven’t presented the same service, but it’s not bad. Just hard to match that first experience because the bar was so high.

    Really great Father's Day BBQ brunch experience. Brisket Benedict was outstanding. Very shareable. Burnt end pork belly app hits the spot - a tad chewy but hey...its a delicious twist on bacon with an excellent presentation. Portions were generous with ample serving of little cornbread muffins with yummy orange marmalade butter for the table. Smoke on the Water cocktail FUN but order only when dinning inside for full effect. Spoiler alert - wind messed up the reveal but NOT the drink. Parking is a challenge so unless you feel lucky...hit Trader Joe's lot right around the corner - FREE for 90 minutes with validation. Will make a trip back to try main dishes, desert and another cocktail or cool draft. That says a lot for a Marylander who actively avoids Virginia. Enjoy!

    Started our Father’s Day weekend celebrations at @smokecraftbbq in Arlington, VA, with some award-winning barbecue dishes. Smokecraft Modern Barbecue’s interior decor is nice, with a modern country feel. 😍 There’s a huge bar area and they also have outdoor seating available. Since we were there in time to enjoy Saturday brunch, we decided to try their Grilled Pineapple Bellini carafe, which was super yummy. 😋 One carafe was more than enough for two people. 🥂 What we ordered: ~Southwest Brisket Egg Rolls - 9/10 ~Smoked Avocado Deviled Eggs - 4/10 ~Chopped Brisket Sandwich - 10/10 ~Roasted Vegetable Omelet - 10/10 ~Banana Pudding - 10/10 Overall, the food was really good and the drinks were yummy. Their brisket and banana pudding were delicious!!! 👍🏼👍🏼 Food: 9/10 (9 because I didn’t care for the flavor of the deviled eggs & I love avocado) Ambiance: 10/10 Service: 5/10 (Our waiter started out great but became inattentive throughout our time there) Parking: Street parking and nearby parking garages

    Last night, 4/11/2023, I was reading an old copy of the Washingtonian magazine. I just realized that it was the Aug 2021 issue. Anyway, this copy had an article entitled, “Burgers, Beer, Barbecue”. We decided to make it a date complete with dining and a movie, during the week at that. After seeing the pictures on page 164 of the mac & cheese and the pulled-pork sandwich, my stomach had made our decision. The place was beautiful. Our server was Blair and he heard what we wanted and then he made a recommendation. Man, was it a good one. We went with the “Whole Lotta’ Cue” and boy was it plenty. It fit for us as we wanted just about everything they had. This spot has earned a spot in our rotation. Oh, we will be back and I will be telling others. I’m so glad Covid did not shut them down for good. Please support this hot spot!

    My family and I met here for lunch. The food was tasty, but the prices are wayyyy too high for a barbecue menu. Nothing on the menu was high end, but for 4 people our bill was over $200. I will say that the portion sizes are nice.

    This is my second time dining at Smokecraft, my first experience was amazing so I was expecting more of the same. However, they were out of Ribs. So we settled on the brisket egg rolls which my husband said were great. I ordered the pork belly burn ends. The flavor was great, perfect amount of smoke. The sweet tea was not the best. The collard greens are amazing so that was my dinner. I really wanted the ribs so I will have to go back another day.

    Our table was ready as promised! The cornbread mini muffins were delicious and disappeared in moments. All manner of meat was reportedly delicious but as the lone non meat eater at the table, let’s talk sides. The smoked cauliflower was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Mac and cheese was browned on top and full of so much rich cheese. The smoked spaghetti squash entrée wasn’t pretty but it creamy, tangy and smoky. The brownie for dessert was meh, eat an extra side instead.
