At Soho we are a restaurant located just opposite St james park football ground. We specialise in Korean & Japanese Food. Our concept focuses on a range of small plates including Robata Grill, Sushi & Seafood with a number of large plates available. Our chefs focus on a combination of big flavours and presentation. As well as a restaurant we are also a bar serving asian inspired cocktails, wines and beers from around the world.

Great Menu that offers best of both worlds. Sashimi was excellent , bulgogi and other mains very enjoyable and service fast and efficient and all at a a fair price . Nice atmosphere would definitely recommend a visit .

I have been here around 8 times now and it’s always been amazing. This visit was a total let down. The service was terrible and I have seen it a lot busier so that was not the issue. We were seated and then forgot about. I had to ask to order drinks. We then waited another 20min and had to ask if we could order food and more drinks. The waiter took the menus from our table and didn’t return for our order. We then had to ask again. The food portions were a lot less than normal and disappointing but still tasty. We asked for wasabi for our sushi as this was given and they returned with just over a pea sized portion for 2 people to share. One of the meals we had was just barely warm while another was nice and hot. We then again had to ask for more drinks and no one came back to the table. Over all it was a very poor experience which is a shame because I do love this restaurant.

Food was pretty average on this visit and it wasn’t even busy which was disappointing. Hoping it’s a one off as this is one of our fav restaurants

We were very disappointed with our visit to Soho. We had booked in advance knowing it would be busy pre match at St James Park, We arrived on time but had to seek out someone to take our order, We ordered sushi and 3 cooked dishes but only the sushi arrived and we had to leave We received no apology when paying the bill

Was lovely food, it just took a while to get drinks, I think 15-20 mins after we arrived although one person from our table had requested one on arrival. I didnt feel we were checked on enough, half way through my meal I became very thirsty I only had a small amount of water left so I tried to make it last but i was just too thirsty so i had to take my meal home to finish. We had finished our meals for a really long time and couldn't see any staff so we had to go and search for someone and ask for a jug of water and the bill. Saying that they sushi was DELISH! as were the wasabi prawns.

Was sat right at the side of the bar with my uncle. No asked if we would like a drink. Waited 20mins for someone to come over. We ordered beef chili ramen and chicken ramen. Sorry but both these dishes lacked any depth of flavour, was essentially weak beef stock with a lot of chili flakes. The food took ages to come, like nearly 40mins....we were given a wooden spoon, noodles are tricky to eat with a wooden spoon really, try it. I've lived and worked in SE Asia for years, so thought it may be me having too high an expectation, but my uncle hasn't...and he said the same. If you can cook at home then stay at home and save some money.

Came up to Newcastle to watch Liverpool and running late due to traffic and they kindly held table for us . Food was fantastic and all freshly made and service was excellent . . Start of a great day which finished even better thanks to Darwin Nunez ,

We came across this place by chance when searching for a restaurant for our anniversary. I can't rate it highly enough, lovely and authentic food, beautiful decor and grrgreservice. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent service great food. My boyfriend received a slice of cake for his birthday which was lovely. We accidentally spilled some drinks and the staff were really nice about it, we were so embarrassed. Will definitely return and highly recommend

We had an excellent experience at Soho. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The service was friendly and spot on and the food was superb. Both the mock tails and cocktails were delicious and great value. The staff overheard that it was our daughter’s birthday and brought her a complimentary dessert. Would definitely return.

Dined here several times and food is very good and reasonably priced. Service excellent particularly as it was really busy re: restaurant week and filled with Newcastle fans pre match. Venue is near to the grounds: nicely presented restaurant

Food was incredible, so tasty and nice big portions, worth what you pay. My friend and I were visiting Newcastle but we would definitely eat there again! Servers were also lovely and helpful.

We went to get the early bird menu as advertised on their website - £15 for starter, main and miso soup. Between 5-7pm. However when we got there they did not have this menu. I showed them it on the website and they said it’s been there for ages and not on. We had to then pay for the full price menu which we were not expecting- we chose this place above others due to this seemingly excellent value menu. Instead we ended up spending a lot more money than we anticipated. No apologies or alternatives were given. Even if they had just thrown in a free starter or a drink to compensate. Very disappointing service - shame as the food was good!

Very tasty food. Slow service at first but food arrived quickly once we'd ordered. Bigger than it looks from the street, diners well spaced out. Excellent value - probably among the best in Newcastle. We'll be back!

Getting parking in the area can be tricky. But Soho itself is lovely. It's a beautiful atmosphere, the staff are very courteous and the food is well presented and tastes top notch. I've definitely been able to grasp the difference in East Asian takeaway food and restaurant food since dining in Soho, it's literally a taste of explosion in authentic restaurant quality food. It does get very busy during the evenings.

The food felt authentic and was delicious and well priced. The sushi was really tasty and I had the Asia daisy cocktail which I definitely recommend! The interior of the restaurant was simple but pretty, we were sat right next to the bar so it could get noisy with staff but I think anywhere else in the restaurant would be fine and it didn’t really affect my dining experience. We were seated promptly on arrival and the staff were super friendly and the food came quickly. I definitely recommend going for a visit and would love to go back to try out the rest of the menu as it all looked delicious!

If I could give 10 stars I would! This was the first time trying Soho and they did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and the food was incredible, this is our new favourite spot and we are booking again soon with friends.
