Valentine’s Day. First day of indoor dining, huge success.
Tuna tartare wasn't good, didn't feel safe finishing. The atmosphere was bad, doing dishes right behind us. Service was slow and didn't give us a warm welcome when walking in. The server did a poor job guiding us through the menu.
Food is excellent and the ambiance was good. Wait staff is very friendly and the service is quick.

The most talented chef on the Upper East Side! The tuna tartare is the best I've been able to find anywhere in the city - the quail eggs add an extrataste point. I'm also very fond of the duck and the salads -- combinations of greens, cheeses, nuts are wonderful -- and nutritionally terrific.
The food was absolutely amazing. The tent was lacking..,we were seated right near an opening so we were pretty cold. All of the servers were really nice, however, we ordered cocktails before we even ordered our food and they didn’t come out until after two plates had already been delivered and eaten. That was disappointing because we like to enjoy them while perusing the menu. Also, my husband’s wine pour seemed very small.
Had a very nice brunch this past weekend. They could have used an additional wait staff as that was the only down side to the experience. We had the steak and eggs and French toast which were both delicious.
We have supported Soujourn for many years due to the consistently delicious food and good service. However this time, it was not a pleasant experience at all as unmasked people from the staff were around serving wine and interacting with patrons. That behavior encouraged other patrons to walk around unmask as well. We and other tables around rushed to pay to leave the place.
So all of this comes to personal risk tolerance and decisions but please do not announce the restaurant as “mask required ” if you are not going to comply with it.
Delicious brunch in a great “outdoor dining” space. Great bloody Marys.
15 minute walk from The MET. I had the gnocchi alla vodka and the cheese board and it was delicious!

Had an absolutely wonderful time here for an anniversary! Enjoyed drinks and appetizers and received amazing and dedicated service on a quiet evening! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale but relaxed atmosphere and delicious food.

Thanksgiving dinner was magnificent. Who thought turkey could taste this good! Savory kale salad to start and luscious dessert. We opted in for the wine pairing- what a treat that was. Great experience start to finish.

Server would not cover nose with mask and take it off altogether when walking around restaurant and making drinks.
He was very audibly discussing the illegitimacy of Covid and trivializing the million deaths around the world while not wearing a mask at the bar.
The food was not good. And the drinks even worse.

I was very disappointed with my "so called" skirt steak. It was hangar steak and it was tough. I come from a family of restauranteurs and I know the difference between the 2 cuts of meats The waiter wanted to argue with me saying we agree to disagree after he told me it was skirt steak and asked if I should talk with the chef. Seriously? He was rude.
Everything was AMAZING! Ambience, food, service...everything! Food was incredible. Perfect date night spot, excellent service. One of my new favorite spots. Must try duck and ravioli...10/10
They were overwhelmed! There was one waiter for over 20 tables, the kitchen was terribly backed up, no bus service, food came out in pieces, and food that was incorrect took a very long while to replace. But, what we did get was good, especially the tuna poke on lettuce leaves. I would like to go back when it’s not so crowded and staffing is better.

I was on the East Side, and booked at Sojourn for an early lunch. They have a great selection of outdoor tables. I started with the kale and butternut squash salad with pears - it was dynamite. I then had the scallops with mushrooms and a butternut squash puree. It was out of this world - the best scallop dish that I've ever eaten. I finished with the warm chocolate cake with crushed hazelnuts and ice cream. Brilliant. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. One of the best dining options on the UES.
Absolutely awful. We waited over an hour for brunch food. They have clearly overexpanded the outdoor area without hiring enough kitchen staff. The hostess was as nasty as possible. Nobody apologized until we had asked about our food 5 or 6 times. They did not bring us even a coffee. I was embarrassed we brought guests there.
The food was amazing. Everything we ordered was really good. The service was great. The waitresses were friendly and knowledgeable. We sat inside and the place felt a bit too crowded for Corona times. But they took temperatures at the entrance and tables were spaced out, so it seems they follow regulations. We would definitely come back.
