SOLE Seafood & Grill
Lovely place to eat and each of my friends agreed they would be back.
Good food, friendly atmosphere, well looked after - good experience.
My boyfriend and I went to Sole while visiting Dublin. We made the right choice. Food was amazing g, it was pricey, but very very good. Staff were super friendly, looked after us really well. Well done guys! Thank you for helping me make my boyfriends birthday so special.
Not the best value restaurant but the food is good and very nice surroundings. Big problem is the wine is a rip off, The Rioja (Marqués de Murrieta) you can buy online for €20. At Sole they charge €64. Their Pouilly Fuisse you can buy for €25 but Sole charges €79. I've no problem with a restaurant adding a 100 or 125% margin but Sole is applying a 250% mark-up on all their wine, which is outrageous and a pity as it is a restaurant you'd go to celebrate something.
Food was great, service was excellent. I would gladly return. The Norwegian crab legs were exceptional
We enjoyed out meal. We sat at the bar and had an excellent waiter which adds to a great night dining. We had the mussel for an appetizer which were delicious. My husband had scallops for a main which he really enjoyed. I tried the salmon dish that was "Asian-ish" and really liked the flavor. We enjoyed Sole.
Fantastic friendly efficient service. Great menu choice. Food was a little cold when served. Chips weren’t cooked through.
Food was excellent, extremely tasty and of excellent quality, staff very attentive and very friendly, all in all can’t wait for our next visit.
Excellent seafood restaurant, tasty food. I recommend to all who like seafood.
Went in the afternoon. I had the 3 courses lunch menu (scallops, sea bass and brownie), very nice. She had the sole, the "deboning" show is always a nice plus. Sole was perfect.
Great time, lovely place, may be on the dearer side but well worth it. Service is impeccable and staff very professional and courteous.
Food was very good. The seafood tower was amazing. Reserved months in advance and got seated at the last table before the toilets.
Overall very good experience. Would like more distance between tables to give more privacy. Felt a little cramped
The restaurant was relaxed and service was great. The John Dory and Sirloin steak were delicious, as were the desserts. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Dublin
Excellent seafood, high end dining
Excellent experience for lunch. Great service, very attentive and friendly! I will definitly recommend this restaurant!
Great early bird. Amazing service and friendly staff. Will definitely be back
Quick trip to Dublin and Sole was a great recommendation by a friend. The ambiance is lovely, nice looking sophisticated crowd - cool round bar...the seafood tower was definitely worth it! I'll be back next time I am in Dublin!
Good food. But for a restaurant with that name, it lacks soul. The interior and ambience is a poor imitation of the type of popular restaurant it aspires to be and it felt a bit like a factory. Probably good for a large group, but look elsewhere if you are dining with someone special.
Another fantastic night in Sole, food was fabulous. One of the best things about Sole restaurant is their staff, their attention to detail is outstanding, they make you feel so welcome and cannot do enough for you.
Overall, a nice experience. Great food and ambience. Only criticism is that we weren't informed we had to give our table back after 2 hours when seated - it was 3pm so not a typically busy time of day! We were informed with 10 minutes notice, rather than when we were first seated, so a bit of a shock. We were eventually moved to another table to finish our wine, but again being informed at the start would have been more considerate!
Lovely atmosphere and my wife and were made feel special from moment we entered. The service was attentive but discreet. We had the captains tower as an entree and it was beautifully served and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant for that special night out.
One of the nicest meals I have had in Dublin.
Amazing experience I'm a chef myself and couldn't wait to eat here and it didn't fail, the food was amazing great choices will definitely be back
Food was delicious as per usual! The mussels (broth) is my favourite! Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant.
Amazing food, beautiful restaurant . Just a little on the pricey side.
OK restaurant, but bit overrated in reviews. Food was good, but not exceeding expectations. Very friendly staff.
Fabulous restaurant, brilliant service (Emil was our waiter). The food is excellent and is priced accordingly.
An excellent venue, will use it again. Fresh fish was very good, simple but spot on. Great service and a really nice atmosphere to the place.
Food was very bland no flavour,Prawn Cocktail was bland,Fillet Steak was cold.Disappointing
Food was amazing and service was great created a lovely setting for our evening. Really impressed with receiving an anniversary dessert plate was a nice touch to finish off a lovey evening
My husband and I had an excellent meal here on the 27/1/20 service first class food excellent! Highly recommend. Lisburn
We enjoyed the food and setting, and the service was just average at best but friendly. In general, we didn't feel that the restaurant was exceptional in any respect.
Food was delicious and our server was very attentive. I was not informed when I booked that they needed the table back at any time. As soon as the bill was paid someone came over and told us we had to leave as they needed the table. A shame as it ruined a perfectly nice evening and I would be reluctant to return because of that.
I was eagerly awaiting my booking at Sole as I love seafood and it was a Christmas present to me. I was extremely disappointed particularly with the food and service. The menu was average for the price of the dishes- I got the King Scallops €35 for main course and the scallops were ruined by lumps of potato with a sauce all over them. I ordered a desert which I never got and finally it took over 2hrs for two course meal to be served. I have received nicer seafood for half the price with twice the taste
Amazing seafood restaurant. The service was superb and the food was incredibly tasty. Was a little slow when it got busy around 9pm, so could be something to think about in order to manage better, but it's only a small thing. Overall, it's a lovely place and look forward to going back
Excellent as always. Party of 4 tried the tasting menu with wine pairing. Super experience, food, and service . Great for a special occasion
Service was exceptionally good. Food was excellent. Overall good value for what we had and a really enjoyable night. We were never rushed and really enjoyed everything.
Haven’t eaten in the city for a long while, took colleagues for dinner, what a terrific experience, will look forward to visiting again soon.
Dined at the bar stools, great atmosphere, great service and fantastic food/drinks.
The place looks like you are in a ship I like the way it looks. Very warm and welcoming, staff are very attentive. Food is good but some of the sauces I would not put with Fish. Some of the food with the fish I would not put. I think more of the fish should be plain and cooked only in butter like the John Dory. Overall the food is very good with a little adjustments it would be perfect. The manager very good at what he does and noticed when customers were not fully satisfied and went out of his way to make are meal what we wanted. takes on what you say so next time he can make your meal perfect. Great restaurant and can only get better will go back.
