Charming and intimate, Sotto is an underground bar, restaurant, and live music venue brought to you by Ari Gejdenson and his Mindful Restaurant Group team. Recreating the experience in an old school jazz club, this hidden gem is located below sister restaurant Ghibellina, and it showcases artfully crafted cocktails, rustic Tuscan cuisine, and the best musicians in D.C. A great spot for either an intimate date or a large group gathering, and everything in between.

Please be aware of a few house rules:

1. We look forward to having you join us and are happy to hold your table for up to fifteen minutes. To contact us with a special request, please email info@sottodc.com
2. Ticketed events can be purchased in our website for $15 or at the door $20 per person to be included in your bill.
3. Your ticket grants you reservation only for the selected showtime.
4. Please note your ticket grants you a seat, you might be asked to share a table.
5. You must be 21 or older.

I like the decor and the general feel of the place. The service impeccable and the food is always the best. It is my favorite restaurant and only a block away from lucky me.

Attended the comedy show in the basement. Food portions are way too small for the price. Place is very dark and hard to read the menu. Food average nothing to brag about.

This place is okay if youve got nothing going on and want to be in a lively space. Basic lack of communication and mismanagement make this a mediocre spot at best. Wouldn't go out of my way to go here again.

Came in for date night on a Tuesday. To our surprise we didn’t need a reservation since the restaurant was empty. In addition to a comedy show about to be performed. Overall everything was great but the food could use a little more seasoning though.

An excellent music venue. Large stage for musicians. Good acoustics. Tables not crowded together. Food from Ghibellina is excellent. Service Outstanding.

The food was exceptional. The Bartenders are your guide to nirvana. The ambience was perfect and on Tuesday evening there is phenomenal comedy with great local and rising star comedians. Go, Eat, Drink, Laugh, Drink some more

The music is wayyyy too loud. I understand that when a band is playing that the music may be at a higher level however, on breaks, the house music was too loud. It was difficult for the bartender and servers to hear us when speaking.
