Soulmate is a gathering place for the community of West Hollywood offering Spanish Mediterranean food over a live fire, where chef Rudy Lopez crafts a menu of inspired dishes that emphasize Southern California’s prevailing seasonality.

The bar experience, taking its cues from the restaurant’s open-air layout, features a diverse list of vibrant cocktails imbued with flavors from local herbs and fruits. The menu is comprised of small plates and come out as they’re ready, making it impossible to order your own courses. Everything must be shared, unless your in a very small group of 2-3 this makes ordering complicated. You end up having to share what you really wanted which means you only get one or two bites as portions are small. It also means you eat an assortment of random things rather than a full meal. As dishes come out randomly, we had all the vegetables etc and didn’t receive proteins until the very end. At that point most of us were full and didn’t enjoy it as much. In terms of food taste it was ok, there were no bold exciting flavors, aside from a couple dishes everything was kind of bland. The quality of the ingredients was very fresh though and in some dishes (beet carpaccio) you want the natural flavors of the vegetables to be the star. The service was warm and attentive and made the experience better. This is a good place to go with a friend to grab a drink in a beautiful environment and have a couple light bites, not great if your in a larger group where everyone is hungry or if everyone has different likes/dislikes.

Extremely loud, long wait for food and beverages, server was in such a rush there was zero personal connection. Poor thing, she was so out of her mind running around. I've never seen someone scribble down an order so fast. I ordered the brunch pork belly egg Benedict dish, the biscuit was hard as a rock. They forgot to send out our French toast, and I had a stomach ache the rest of the day. I will come back, but only with people who I know are easily impressed and equate quality experiences with being loud and drunk!

Drinks were 10/10, ambiance is electric, staff is busy tending to all the patrons because it’s so popping but we genuinely didn’t notice any delays because it was such an enjoyable atmosphere. Would definitely go back!!!

Another good Sunday brunch at Soulmate. The drinks are amazing. Service was excellent. Todays only issue was it was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. Will definitely go back again.

Loved the ambiance and atmosphere for this spot! I went for Sunday brunch and the music was very loud but fun! The menu isn't huge, which can be nice, and the food that we did have was delicious! * Note that the chorizo hash is HUGE! Definitely a shareable plate for the table. My husband and I each tried 2 cocktails each and they were all amazing! Highly recommend the Weekend in Palm Springs, and the You up?. Highly recommend the pork belly sliders.

Outstanding restaurant. The food, the ambiance, the decor, and everything else about it was phenomenal. The only thing that I can critique was the promptness of the food being made and set on the table. It took an hour to and hour in a half for everyone to get their orders. Half of our table was waiting while the other half was getting their food. Definitely consider this before coming because we all came with an empty stomach so some people were hangry. I understand that we had a party of 12 and the restaurant was packed so I had to take that into consideration. Other than that, the hospitality and friendliness of the staff was simply the best. Thank you guys for having us and giving us your best!

Amazing staff! Beautiful atmosphere. The food was good, just came out in a very odd order. The last course was just a side of potatoes. Everything else had been eaten. The food comes out dish by dish very slowly. So it felt like we were having potatoes for dessert.

Soulmate offers good food and a high level service. We had a happy stay at this place. We had raw tuna and salmon as starters, both very nice, and the paella as main. The outdoor area is one of the most vibrant in LA, with all the West Hollywood famous gay clubs only steps away. Inside, the restaurant is very big and not very crowded, so it seems a bit poor and empty and has a lack of energy, given the part of the city where it's at.

Not a great experience. Place is very nice, but the combination of food quality, service and price doesn’t add up. Rather go to Teleféric in Brentwood for better food and overall quality if you like good Spanish.

VALET PARKING IS $20 !!! It’s absolutely OUTRAGEOUS and restaurant doesn’t bother to VALIDATE despite extorting extra 5% or so fee for providing “ competitive salaries “ to lazy waiters who after serving food never drop by to even check whether we need anything else like a drink or more food! Food is GREAT, chef is excellent, ambiance is nice but management probably sucks bc they don’t make waiters work hard and don’t care about parking situation using general bad parking conditions in the area as an excuse to do nothing about it!

Ambiance and decor is very nice. The drinks were also pretty good. The food, while it looks nice was pretty mid. Not much flavor. For starters, we had the chicken fritters and papas bravas. More filling than chicken and it was just curly fries with sauce. Nothing spectacular. For entrees, I had the hash and replaced it with chicken instead of chorizo. Friend had the pork belly Benedict. Both needed seasoning but presentation looked great. I would go back for the bar. The dj also played a good mix of music!

Shy was our server, she was so amazing and helpful. I came for brunch and the portions were reasonable. Music was nice, the dj arrived at noon and it wasn’t too loud but nice for the brunch crowd.

Arrived and were seated immediately. We ordered drinks. My Weekend in Palm Springs was sooooo good that I had three. We shared the croquetas de pollo and eggplant hummus. My daughter and i each had the Lobster Salad BLT which was quite good. My wife had the avocado toast which she enjoyed. Service by Jeffery was exceptional. Will be back soon

This was my first time going to brunch here and I did not know how lively and noisy it was going to be! The noise level is comparable to that of a day party so I would only recommend it if that's the environment you want. The food was average, but I want to point out that I've had dinner here and it's really good! Service was great as usual and I just love the ambiance (less noise would be great).

This was my second time at Soulmates. The first time I only had drinks at night, but I loved the cocktails and the ambiance. I met friends for brunch on Sunday and sat up front. Our server was great, and we still love the drinks and the design of the place. I wanted to have a leisurely brunch, but it soon became super loud with music, then a DJ with more music. We couldn't hear each other at all and the music was the typical mix of the kind of music you work out to, but not enjoy. I know were in WEHO, but the space was beautiful without the party vibe. My choice of music is classic dance, but not at a 11. Also, the food we ordered was OK. My chicken sando was on the dry side, and the fries were not house made, sadly. My friend thought her pork belly Benedict was OK as well. The best dish we ate was the chorizo hash. My hubs seemed fine with his french toast. We won't be back for food any time soon, but drinks maybe.

Excellent dinner, yet again! The menue has changed a bit and this was a welcomed update. Pork belly sliders, the all time favorite, but new mushroom agnolotti and crispy eggplant were simply unforgettable. Service provided by Jordan was absolutely impeccable. Knowledgeable, courteous, great menue and wine understanding - perfection. Can’t wait to be back.
