Part wine bar, part restaurant, a city centre venue with a city centre buzz. St. Vincent is an after-work drinks spot, supper-with-friends place and general 'snack-with-a-glass-or-two' hang out with a big-hearted 'everybody welcome' attitude. 

Inspired by the neighbourhood bars we've found on our travels through France and Italy, we offer interesting wines, charcuterie and crowd pleasing plates full of punchy flavours. We're a place where an hour spins into several without anyone noticing. 

Open evenings Tuesday to Friday, all day Saturday and close late.

    We’ve always loved food that brings everyone round the table and a whole roast suckling pig does just that. It’s something we’ve enjoyed on our travels and while you’ll find versions across the Basque Country, France and Italy, Segovia has perhaps the best bit of tradition: bringing it to the table and carving it with the edge of a plate. A little bit of theatre, certainly, but also proof of just how tender it is. We couldn’t resist. For six to eight guests, James, Matt and the team will roast a whole suckling pig and serve it the traditional way at the table. It comes with Zucchini Fritti, Garlic and Rosemary Roast Potatoes and a few other sides chosen from that day’s menu. That makes a fine meal on its own, though you’re very welcome to begin with a few dishes or finish with dessert from the daily menu and specials board. Whether there’s something to celebrate or you simply fancy getting everyone around the same table, it will make for a very good evening.

    Great experience. Service was fabulous, staff were helpful, friendly and interested. Food was delicious and although perhaps more expensive than some places, value for money was worth it. It was a birthday we were celebrating and when the staff found out they made a special effort to bring over a slice of cheesecake which was thoughtful and appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

    It was fabulous. Four of us dined. The restaurant is in a lovely location in an old area of Newcastle. We arrived at 6.15 and the restaurant was already packed. We selected from the prix fixe early evening menu and had some deep fried courgette strips and potatoes to nibble on before the first courses arrived. I had also ordered an oyster, which, was probably one of the best I’ve had, local of course, from Lindisfarne. I had selected the pate as a starter which was just delicious and my main was home made pasta with fresh pomodoro sauce, my friends had chicken which they thoroughly enjoyed. We had glasses of wine, I enjoyed the rose and prior to that a Bloody Mary to go with my Oyster - all very palatable! We live in Cleadon so we took the Metro and met our friends at Broad Chare in the sunny garden. Service was exceptional - and we do dine all over the World - such was the number of tables and orders flying through at the same time. The guy who delivered the Blackboard was doing his best such was the level of chatter going on. We will return!!
