Our whole experience at Stanley's was completely outstanding. From the moment we arrived the service was perfection and somebody was always nearby to cater for our every need. We tried lots of different dishes and could not have been more delighted with the quality of food. We would all like to return to Stanley's very soon.

Stanley’s seems to have gone downhill. I ordered the venison doughnut and it arrived absolutely cold and inedible. Had to send back and wait for ages for the replacement which was finally warmed. Food quality needs to be monitored better.

Appetisers are too overpriced - £11 for a sausage roll, really?

They should also invest in more standing heaters for outdoors- the overhead lamps are not warm enough for the current weather.

I'm really impressed with Stanley's, the food was excellent, lovely atmosphere and really attentive service.

I had the butternut squash vegatarian main course which was absolutely bursting with flavour, the presentation too was really impressive and thoughtful.

We sat indoors for supper but the garden area is absolutely stunning and warmed by heaters if you fancy sitting out for a drink even in the winter.

Only comment is that's it was quite chilly indoors so bring layers.

Great service and food AND warm outdoor dining. The staff working at Stanley’s are the glue that binds this place - friendly, attentive and efficient. Special shout for the young owner who works the floor with equanimity- even when faced with sloaney sots.

It was pouring with rain and freezing cold which wasn’t ideal... I would have liked more outdoor heaters. We just had one small high one above our table - others were also near pyramid heaters as well, but there weren’t enough of those. I had heard that the food was amazing. I found it a little too contrived and lacking choice. Perhaps there could have been better food options for a freezing cold day. A piece of fish or chicken on a big flat plate is soon going to get cold and unappealing in v cold temps. ..

So nice to be back here. Love the new winter menu. The courtyard is fabulous!!! See you soon stanleys...

To say the food was sub-par would be an understatement.

Stanleys is fantastic. We went to celebrate my dad's birthday in a group of 6 outside. They offered us blankets which was very kind. The atmosphere is fab and the food incredible. For a place that has been open only a few months with lockdown i was incredibly impressed with everything.

Stanley's are not serving a brunch menu anymore - but didn't inform me that before booking or after booking, despite still advertising it on their website. The waiter rolled his eyes multiple times during the short period we were there. It's a lovely setting and was really well set-up for the Covid restrictions but the menu is really disappointing and the staff not very friendly.

Friendly staff, clean location that felt safe and well distanced from other customers.
Most important factor was how delicious the food was, I strongly recommend to everyone to go eat there ASAP

Really nice venue, and the food was good, although the 'small' plates really were very small - it felt a little as though they were trying to make as much margin as possible by giving you as little as they could get away with.
The main courses looked good, but we would have loved to have seen another meat option.
Other than that, it was all good, and the staff were attentive and engaged.
We hope to be back soon, Covid permitting. Hoping that perhaps the small plates could be made a tiny bit bigger?

Lovely evening with my friend. The venue is amazing and the food excellent, I took the ribeye which was so tender and perfectly cook. Will come back for sure.

We were very disappointed that it wasn’t clear when we made the booking that food service stopped at the time we booked for. When we booked there were numerous time slots available with no indication that there would be no food service. It was impossible to order as the waiter kept saying they would come to us and didn’t, to the point we had to wave and vie for attention. We were also made to feel stupid when we were told we couldn’t order, as if we were in the wrong. Overall a very underwhelming and disappointing experience.

Loved the food & ambience. Venison doughnuts in particular were delicious. The white flowers decor was beautiful for autumn. Since it’s mainly an outdoors restaurant, it can get a little cold but they have good cover and overhead heaters and blankets. Probably adding a few more standing heaters may help make the place more cosy!

What a great place to meet friends outdoors. It’s warm, the environment is very comfortable and the food is just delightful. The small plates are smashing. Service is friendly and efficient. We will be back.
