The atmosphere was quiet and nice, however the amount of food you get for the cost, is poor

Food was great, service was on point and ambiance was also very nice.

what a shame that waiter was to rip u off by charging full price of"SPECIALS" food between 2-5, Besides, your food is very expensive for a little value, small portions but big price, wow

Really great dining experience. They were very busy but it didn’t take away from our meal at all. Delicious food and drink. Our waitress was great- very friendly and attentive. There’s a reason it’s one of our go to places to eat.

There is not a lot on the menu but what is on the menu is good. Our service was excellent and the overall experience was good. If you were looking for a casual relaxing night out it is a choice for you.

Our waitress was amazing. As soon as we walked in the door we had friendly service. As it was our first time there the waitress made great food suggestions which we took and the food was great. We will definitely be back.

Wait staff were great. Very good with COVID rules. We enjoyed our dinners.

The food and service are always excellent. The restaurant is well managed and they are taking Covid seriously (and ensuring patrons are as well). Great patio with heaters. This is our go-to place for lunch.

Service was excellent, food was very average, I had the Fish Tacos, not a ton of flavour, price was average to all similar chain/franchise type restaurants. I likely wouldn’t make a point of returning.

Enjoyable time. Returning next week. Disappointed I cannot reserve for more than 4 on-line but the phone worked fine. Always concerned about rain but you are gracefully dealing with that. Wish you had a more sheltered spot do we could eat outside in the rain!

Wonderful food. Due to COVID no indoor service but the staff were wonderful. Great value.

Good experience and they had great deals on wine while we were there. The food was okay, I think I expected better since I’ve been to the ones in Toronto area. Perhaps it would be different at a less busy time of the day. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Overall it was good but not great, certainly nothing special. And it appears that the waitress it not mark us off as showing up as an Open Table reservation.

I really like this restaurant except it is really loud. Would recommend going at lunch time as opposed to supper if your there to have conversation. Wish they could do something about that. Otherwise, great food and great staff.

Wish it wasn't so loud with the raised open ceilings but the food and service is fantastic.

Enjoyed the brunch. The eggs bennie was perfectly cooked. It was served with a good portion of seasoned tater tots. I would have preferred a homemade potato hash. Just thought it cheaped out the meal.

Attended for a grad dinner, arrived around 6pm and were seated right away. Reservation I made wasn't needed. Server was friendly and offered helpful insight into the menu. Everything was brought in a timely manner but didn't feel rushed. Food was terrific (burrito bowls and Cobb salad) and presented nicely. Would definitely go back when in the area. Will try the one closer to home next!

First time eating at State & Main. I heard that they're very conscientious about food allergies, and they are. Their staff is clearly well trained and our server even let me know that they have a book outlining allergies, which she reviewed with me, and an allergy kit in the back to ensure that there's no cross-contamination. Most importantly, the service, food and drinks were perfect. Will definitely be going back.

My family loves the calamari and the bang bang shrimp. My steak tasted great. The only complaint I can muster is that the noise level was a bit louder than the last time I was there. Otherwise, it was another great dinner there.

The food and service are great, and it works well for noisy group. However, there is nowhere to sit and have a quiet conversation if that’s desired. Perhaps a sound barrier of some sort between dining room and bar would be beneficial.

Food is good but restaurant is quite noisy. Might not go again as its hard to hear conversation at the table.
