Stella's Fish Cafe & Prestige Oyster Bar

I like to go to Stellas several times per year and usually for my birthday which is in December. Our server was welcoming and charming. Our food was top notch. And I got a free dessert too.

We had wonderful service and the food was phenomenal. I always love going to Stella’s!

Our server Amy was absolutely amazing! She offered great drink and dinner recommendations- I started off with a Prosecco and my date a mojito- both were very good! We had the coconut shrimp for an appetizer- and then for entrees I had the beef bites and my date had the blackened chicken and sausage Alfredo. All of the food was AMAZING. So delicious and good portion sizes for the price. We love Stellas and will be back again soon!

Great oysters! Loved being outside on a patio in November

Great atmosphere out on the rooftop, unfortunately two of us got the linguine and clams and they were VERY salty and hard to eat due to this.

But, my candidate won! Best seafood house around, best meal in years!

We love the roof top patio, especially on a gorgeous fall day! The food was absolutely delicious, we really enjoy the variety of selections! Service was great, prompt, efficient and friendly! We greatly appreciate the attention to safety measures taken during the pandemic and we felt comfortable during our visit!

I took my son out for a special lunch when he didn’t have school last Friday. We got the $60 crab that came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was all cold. When our server finally asked after we had been eating it for about a half hour how the food was and I told him it was cold he did nothing. Definitely disappointed especially for how much it cost.

Belated birthday . Super service great food lovely day. What more could we want.

The service was great. Our waitress was attentive, but not hovering.

We had the mussels, crab legs, and paella. All 3 were excellent.

Amazing experience! Highly recommended for fantastic flavors that most would not try on their own. All around amazing food, service and atmosphere!

We took my parents there for restaurant week and it was a great experience and felt very safe with COVID-19 precautions in place. The hardest thing is my mother has mobility issues and the restrooms are upstairs.

I have been here before. My friends had not. We all enjoyed our food and happy hour.

I went with a friend for restaurant week. The food was good, but as soon as you walked in the place, the stench of raunchy fish was very overwhelming. Our server was mediocre at best. Overall, it was worth it for the price, due to the huge discount we got, but I wouldn’t pay their normal prices.

The scallops and blackened swordfish were very delicious!

Our food was outstanding! While not inexpensive, the quality made it worth it.

Celebrating three birthdays during restaurant week. The $20 lunch special was super. The beet salad was bomb! The walleye was awesome. Justin, our waiter, surprised us with a special birthday dessert! Love Stella’s! The food and service never disappoints.

OUr first time at Stellas. Fabulous waitress! The beet salad was the best ever! I had it with the veggie sushi. First time for sushi. Discovered I don't care for seaweed-not the cooks fault. I ate it sans seaweed and it and the presentation was lovely. Husband had excellent chowder and backened swordfish. Both of us had the $20 lunch special. We will go back if we are Uptown in Mpls again.

We enjoyed our time here! The food was great especially the appetizers and sides! I would recommend trying as many small things as you can! The ambience was great and energetic with the bar downstairs and dining upstairs. The servers were extremely nice, and they took excellent precautions for COVID and public safety. Overall good experience! It is quite pricy though if you’re on a budget.

fun but waiter was slow

This was our first time at Stella's fish cafe and we will definitely be back. Everything we had was delicious and the service was outstanding.

Overall it was great! The food was very good, the service was great.

Food and drinks were good, but overpriced. I was surprised the rooftop wasn't crowded at all, despite it being a warm evening on a Friday. It's really disappointing that you can't get the happy hour deal unless you're inside, which just encourages more people to eat indoors during Covid. Why can't they lift this restriction?

Wow, first time diners and what a great experience. Table for 2 on the rooftop, beautiful views. Started with the s.o.s platter (1/4) from the raw bar, killer. All the seafood, sushi and sashimi were fresh and out standing. Clam chowder was the perfect betweener. My wife had the grilled seafood platter and I had the lobster roll, again fresh and outstanding. Wine list was limited, especially whites, but we made it work.

Food and service were excellent. Made a reservation for lunch inside. When we arrived we were told they were only seating outside. It was windy, too cool and we were not dressed for it. Wish we had been notified of this change before our arrival.

Great happy hour menu, came in on a Tuesday and had a great meal.

Our waiter Justin was great! He was attentive and very quick with an extra napkin as I was eating my big messy whole lobster.

This is the third time in a row within the past two months that the service has been HORRIBLE!!!!! they need to train their servers better- as a server of 4 years I’m astonished that it is consistently such horrible service from management and the staff.

Ordered half a dozen oysters for HH and they were teenyyy and almost non edible, such a shame! The other items were good tho and service was great! I would have not served the oysters though.
