   Staff was super nice and maybe tried their best. Food was good if we were in a food court but if you want to be a nice restaurant in Toronto. It has to be better. We started with the beef carpaccio which was more like a prosciutto. Would've been great with some grapes or cheese but was strange on its own. We also had the arancini. They had the idea right but it was cold in the middle so not as good as they should've been. We got a ravioli in butter sage sauce for one entree. The sauce was great but the ravioli was under cooked. We also had to cacao paparadelle which was interesting to say the least. It didn't taste bad but it was so visually unappealing that we didn't finish it. The noodles looked like purple flattened liver with shredded meat in a red sauce served on a black plate. I actually think if it was on a lighter coloured plate it may be way better... lol

   Amazing old school Italian restaurant. The food and drinks were amazing and the service was casual yet attentive. I recommend going here if you want an authentic experience, not if you're expecting a dressed up corporate experience.

   Stelvio definitely went beyond our expectations. We were thinking it might be a low-key trattoria but instead we found a sharply decorated restaurant with a great staff and nice ambience. Just a tad on the noisy side and slightly out of our intended price point, but the quality of the food and the service made up for it. Totally worth a return visit.

   What a great experience. All the staff were lovely and quick. Appreciated that the tables were spaced out too hate when I’m touching elbows with the person next to me lol. Food was tasty and great portions - not too big. Will definitely be back to try the elephant ear!

   Lovely cozy atmosphere and kind service. The food is delicious, especially the tortelli with spinach, those with butternut squash, and the pesto risotto! I come back every time I can.

   Great Food, the servers were very accommodating as I wanted to change tables, the risotto balls were not as good as I was expecting still a solid 7.5/10. The pasta however is to die for, absolutely amazing and fresh. The servers were really nice and welcoming. The vibes in the restaurant are spectacular. Great experience overall.

   Food was delicious, but portions are much too smalls I had the Gnocchi and it was delicious but it needed to be about 3x the size. I spent $135 on food and 2 drinks and still had to eat afterwards again when I got home. Great service and cool spot. Overall great experience but if you’re hungry you may still leave hungry

    The Carpaccio Di Breaaola Della Valtellina and Risotto Alla Milanese Con Ossobuco are really good. Interestinf flavours. Would order again. The Spezzatino Con Polenta was ok, would not order again. Overall, unique Italian restaurant that is not like other typical Italian restaurants with pizza and pasta.

    The best authentic Italian restaurant in downtown. Excellent service. Everyone super knowledgeable about the story of the restaurant with an outstanding service. Food is exactly the one that you would eat in Valtellina and surrounding area. I couldn’t have better experience and feel finally like be home in Italy.     My friend and I sat at the bar and had the best dinner. Stelvio had been highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! Anna was incredibly and super helpful with the menu. The whole team took amazing care of us and the food blew us away.

    Visited for dinner, I had sciatt (sort of cheese fritters) which I LOVED and for main I had squash ravioli which were perfectly sweet and salty balanced I had a glass of wine which was very easy drinkable

    The menu is very specific and I really enjoyed the northern italian vibe. The ossobuco risotto was extremely tender and perfectly seasoned. Prices are fair given that the quality is high.

    Over $115.00 for two pastas, two drinks and a dessert. The pasta portion was extremely small (likely 7-9 small ravioli per plate). Food was below average, drinks came after we finished eating our food. Server even brought us the wrong drink and took it back just to throw it out. Expected a lot more from this place, I was extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

    - brought a bottle of wine, they poured it into a dirty decanter. Genuinely dirty, dust all over.     No place for coats, so they hung over your chair, touching the floor. Waited 17 minutes till I asked for service as no one came by the table, even for water. Food was decent, a bit overpriced for the quality/portion size. Wine list could use some change ups. My expectations were not met. We won’t be returning any time soon.

    It's hard to judge a restaurant on Valentine's Day since they all have extra challenges with that day and I have to believe that is the reason for the less than excellent quality of the food. Before you go, have a look at the menu and try to understand the difference between Northern and Southern Italian cooking. You will be hard-pressed to find a tomato in this place and hence the name which is a region in Northern Italy. The meatballs were more like crab cakes, the anancini was one giant ball with some pesto and overfilled with cheese. The Osso Buco Milanese was just sad. The meat was "jerky-like" at the bottom and the risotto was "crusty", both signs of a pre-prepared meal sitting under infrared lights. The service was excellent and unhurried.

We would like to address your feedback on the dishes sampled; the meatballs are accurately described on the menu and reflective of Northern Italian Tradition. We hope you enjoyed the flavour as much as we do. In regards to the risotto with ossobuco, could you expand on your assertion of it being sad? This is a very generous portion and the ossobuco normally falls off the bone with seared top and bottom to give it colour. If the dish was not prepared properly for you we apologize, in the future please return the dish and it will be made again or exchanged for something else right away. Having said this, your feedback on the food has been acknowledged and it will be addressed with our chef in training. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the excellent and unhurried service during your visit.     An intimate dinning experience at Stelvio. The ambiance feels nice. Food is great, with exceptional tastes consisting of rich amalgamated flavors in the pasta. Only downside to experience was the type of chairs. Though the restaurant gives off a rustic, industrial feel, I think the metal chairs are a minus. Overall great food and service.

    Definitely go on an empty stomach! Order a bunch of items and make sure to share to get a good taste of what Stelvio offers. My fiance and I have no regrets going with the Osso Buco, a ravioli, and of course the "elephant ear". Side note: they have amazing wines.

    We had an amazing meal and time here Saturday night. It was my wife’s Birthday and she wanted to try their food and it was a great choice. We had several different dishes and everything from the flavorful pastas to the “Elephant Ear” pork cutlet about the size of a car wheel was excellent. The atmosphere was laid back. The staff were very friendly and explained the menu thoroughly and offered up some great advice. Highly recommend you try the food here. You won’t be disappointed

    Great Italian experience. Enjoyed mostly the truffle gnocchi and the risotto Al tartufo! Great find!!! Will definitely be back. Service top notch

    Absolutely loved this restaurant. Had an overall amazing dinner and everyone I met that worked there were so kind. It was very cool to hear that the staff are from Milan and the service was the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant by far. Authentic Italian food and experience was exactly what they give and if I lived in Toronto I’d go back many times for sure. The staff truly crafted the authentic feel. The restaurant atmosphere was very neat as well, loved the decor and detail. Highly recommend this place!

    Service was good. Food was good. The pork cullet elephant ear was a bit dry but still good.

    Terrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The restaurant was not busy and yet service was absolutely terrible. Customer service was clearly of no concern to our server, we even caught him making faces as he was being called to our table. Food is below mediocre.
