Wagyu Bistro Steak & Frites*
6oz seared teres major, maitre de butter, triple cooked fries, garlic aioli
black peppercorn crusted, gruyère spaetzle, herb chutney, sourdough crumble, tempura-fried onion ring
The food was fantastic, as is the aesthetic of the restaurant. Our only disappointment was in the service which was at a glacial because our waiter was so busy assisting the table next to us. We waited over a half an hour for our bread and had no plates for appetizers and they were not picked up until we had no pace for them to go. We would give it another chance and hope for better service.
It was Mother’s Day and so they may have been short staffed, but they were very inattentive. We repeatedly asked for food for our toddler and ended up waiting an hour for food for our toddler which made for a bad experience.
I assume due to Mother’s Day things were hectic in the kitchen. Food times were ridiculously long with no explaining. Other tables were missing food and getting comped. Other tables were complaining of the wait. The food was decent but not great or hot. Maybe it was a delivery issue and not a cooking issue? The mother’s day brunch menu could have had more simple fare for kids. Had to lie to our kids that they really were not serving duck eggs and sausage. (Seriously 🤨) Overall it was an ok experience that we feel we overpaid due to cold food and delayed service.
Food and ambience are outstanding at Stock Hill. There were a couple of serving errors, which they gladly addressed.
Great Mother’s Day brunch
Not sure if it was just because it was Mother's Day brunch or not, but food and service was mediocre at best. We waited an hour for our food, with no apologies or explanations.
Excellent meal with a strong staff. A few hiccups (you can tell they’re still getting back up and running), but the team there took excellent care of us.
Great food and great service with a wonderful environment. I was so happy the they were so accommodating on making me a mocktail without batting an eye.
Ambience was great! Drinks were good. Food was average. The service was a little slow but it was very busy.
The service was outstanding! It was our anniversary and we were definitely spoiled! Thank you!
Not impressed with waitstaff. Awkward and slow
Food was amazing! Service was amazing! Atmosphere was perfect!
The food is good but if your looking for more - ambience, service, and a memorable time - keep looking.
Loved the bar. Then had dinner very good. I would recommend.
Amazing steak and dessert
Amazing the food people decor omg will be back!!!!
It was our first visit and we had an amazing time.
Absolutely we do it again.
Great evening...will return
All good. Service great food great drinks great. What more could you want.
We had amazing food. Our waiter Brian was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back.
Waiter was great, steak not tender...but great flavor. Greeter seemed angry and bitter... which was a very poor first impression...rest of service was very good tho!
Great brunch!! Order the tots
Wonderful birthday spot, amazing food and service is excellent.
Our waiter was immaculate. The food was incredible and everything was just perfect for my husband to celebrate his 40th birthday there. We will definitely be back!
Our meal was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. We ordered several apps; artichokes, spinach dip, and shrimp cocktail; along with a steak and the stuffed lobster. Everything was amazing and I can't wait to go back!
We were seated at our table and told our waitress would be by soon to give us menus. We then waited 15 minutes without being acknowledged by anyone in the restaurant. There were at least 8 different employees I could see standing around so it’s not like they were short staffed. And there weren’t many people in the restaurant so they were not super busy. I had to ask for menus from someone who was walking by so I’m not sure how long we would have sat there had I not done that. Even after the waitress showed up the service was just average. I’ve been to other restaurants where the service was better and I didn’t spend $200 on a meal for two. The bread had a freezer burn taste to it but the crab bisque was delicious.
It was perfect! The food was amazing and abundant. We left very satisfied with our choice
Everything was fantastic! Brian, our waiter, was perfect. We have some pretty great steakhouses in KC, but Stock Hill tops them all every time.
Love the social hour and drinks were amazing and appetizers exceptional!
My wife and I were here to celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary. The waiter was great. The food was a disappointment. We started off with drinks and grilled oysters. The oysters were excellent. For the main course I had the Wagu steak and my wife had the Berkshire pork chop. Very disappointed in both. Steak was over-cook and lukewarm, pork chop the same. For the price, not one I could recommend.
Good food and service, but the wine, etc is expensive.
We had a great night sitting outside and enjoying the warm breeze. Food was excellent. Server was great! First time visiting. Definitely will come back.
Stock Hill is one of my favorite restaurants but consistently lacks good responsive service. Our server was nice but was slow on drink refills, taking our order, not very attentive to our table. Took over 30 minutes to get our ticket to leave. Food was wonderful as usual, good atmosphere just wish servers were more attentive. Came during brunch for bottomless mimosas and it took 20 minutes for us to get a new one each time we were ready. Didn’t feel like it was worth it getting 3 over a 2 hour period.
Great brunch every time I’ve been. And the musical entertainment is excellent!!!
Very poor service. Food is not worth the price
