After five visits, dinner at Stones remains an exceptional experience. The food especially is outstanding! A five star adventure in cuisine for an incredible value. This is not a level of restaurant we could afford for a weekly dinner, but for the few times a year we want to indulge in a special experience it's wonderful to have an exceptional and accessible restaurant available.
Exceptional from beginning to end. Incredible service and attention to detail, the most perfectly prepared food, and overall exquisite ambience. Fantastic wine list and incredibly sophisticated wait staff. Cant wait to visit again.....
We had originally booked for a date night for 2 but ran into friends and called and changed to 5 about and hour before they graciously accommodated us. Our friends and their teenage daughter enjoyed their first visit and can or wait to go back. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. A few of us tried the dining week menu so we could share some appetizers while the table still ordered additional starters. The meatball was huge and so good and the calamari was unique and delish!

The service by Don was friendly and excellent throughout our meal and our plan is to have him handle our table without his teammate for our next visit. Table next to us would have agreed.
The guy handling the bread and water - busing service was also excellent and very professional.
Bread was brought to our table and it tasted wonderful. Would have filled up on Bread and water, if they kept replacing their rolls - That good but glad they didn't.

I chose the Steakhouse Greens normally $15. Escarole, Cherry Peppers, Capicola, Prosciutto, Garlic, Shallots, Parmesan, Bread Crumbs, And Oregano Baked In Cast Iron, not quite Utica but they tasted fantastic. Next for me was their Farm to Table Sirloin normally $27.00 and it was one of the best cuts of meats that I have had and it was cooked to perfection.
Spouse had their Caesar Salad normally $12 Crisp Romaine, Signature Caesar Dressing, Asiago Cheese, White Anchovy And Crostinis and it was very good but note to management Option and ask about the anchovies - She wasn't a fan and it turned her off.
She went with their Seared Salmon normally $35. Fresh Pan Seared Foleys Salmon With Chieftain Wild Rice, Arugula and Roasted Fennel Tossed with Grilled Lemon Vinaigrette and Dill Brown Sugar Beurre Blanc and it was also very good. Dessert included - Peanut butter pie - Excellent and Cheese cake was also good.
Overall, I would return for a special occasion or another taste of Syracuse special and recommend this establishment. PS Shrimp Cocktail (4) $18 Tender U5 Jumbo Gulf Shrimp With House Cocktail Sauce served to the table next door looked that good to stare - Nice size!
Prices without getting a side, or salad included are high but the Beef Quality is Farm to Table but Chicken Breast even Farm to Table $32.00???????

The service is great and atmosphere is great! The food was mediocre at best. It is not what you expect when you go out to a nice steakhouse, the quality is more what you’d expect at your average chain restaurant for about half the price.

Stone’s Steakhouse was amazing! I had a salad with salmon added and my husband had the steak trio. I thought the steak quality was one of the best I’ve had. The steakhouse greens were excellent too. Our server was extremely attentive. The couple next to us got engaged while we were there and the manager (I presume) discreetly videotaped it for the future groom.
It’s always a pleasure to dine at Stone’s because the food and service are outstanding! They were running a Restaurant Week promotion of 3 courses for $30. Many restaurants do pared down portions for those promotions, but not Stone’s! These were their normal servings! My husband and I brought my 14 year old stepson with us and he was in awe of the whole experience. He has already told us that’s where he wants to go for his birthday. We will be back before then, but we are definitely taking him there for his birthday!

I absolutely had the best time at Stone's Steakhouse!! The food was phenomenal and all the staff was very accommodating and attentive. I would recommend them highly and will be returning again and again.
I don’t leave bad reviews often, but I’m really really disappointed with the food and service tonight. This is the first time my wife and I have ever gone out for Valentines Day- and we read such amazing reviews so decided to come here..also it’s our first year married. I can say from start to finish this was a very bad experience. First off waiter was not friendly, it started with the wine list which he held up then looked at us both and said “will one of you take this?” .. Then the cocktails took about 15 minutes to get to the table, and they were not made correctly.. but we brushed it off because it wasn’t worth another wait. Then the food came out extremely quickly, and the mashed potatoes were very cold and the fries were hard as rock and almost raw. I informed the waiter and he snatched them off the table without saying a word, and by this time we were done eating and didn’t want them back. He came back with the fries and said “did you want these warmed up or?” .. & my wife said no thanks we are all set and he sighed loudly and slapped his leg and stormed off. He also offered every table dessert from a cart but did not do so for us, so we left very unhappy. Just not thrilled with this evening.
Although my steak came out way overdone, our waitress made it right immediately. After she came back, it was VERY rare and she took it back again. Third times the charm! It came out perfect the next time! She took half off the steak for the inconvenience without even asking her, which I thought was great. Ambiance was beautiful. Clearly a very classy establishment, great service. Best thing about it was that I didn’t feel rushed. Everything came out with enough time to actually enjoy it. We never felt rushed by our server or management. We will definitely be back!
Nice tables and comfortable seating. A friendly and knowledgeable hostess. However, the oysters for an appetizer were ridiculously small, and the scallops with the surf and turf had a distinct ammonia scent that indicated they were not fresh. Steak came with steak sauce already applied, and while im sure it was freshly made, ketchup is ketchup and the flavor was undeniable. Lasty, though over all the meal was good, not great, it was delivered to the table warm at best, not hot. For a meal with a $200 tab, i expected more.

We had dinner on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was at about 50% capacity. Extremely short staffed, no host, limited waitstaff and not sure if there was a bartender. Waitstaff did not seem trained, and for how this place was marketed (premier steakhouse) and the prices, would expect waitstaff to have proper etiquette and responsiveness in their line of work. The food was average and not cooked to order. We did not send anything back because we did not want to wait more than we already had for our dinners to be served.

This is a must visit when you are in the Syracuse area. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is upscale but not pretentious. The food was excellent as well. You can't miss with this place.

We came here for our special family Christmas Eve dinner before church. Our server, Joesph, was fantastic and the extra special touches sent out from the chef made the night even more special. The food was delicious and the ambiance is very elegant and relaxing.
Food was absolutely delicious, beautifully decorated and our waiter was great. My husband had a 22 oz porterhouse and my chicken parm was huge and amazing. Prices are spot on for the farm to table freshness and portions. An absolute must go to.
A friend had suggested Stone's, therefore I was curious as I enjoy trying different restaurants. My son and I dined there last Saturday night for the first time. It's beautiful!!
It appeared only one waitress was working the room we ate in. Service was slow, but it didn't impact us. When I get the opportunity to eat out, I don't like to be rushed. Our waitress was very apologetic about the wait and we assured her it was not a problem. Unfortunately the group of people sitting next to us were not as understanding and were down-right rude to her.
We enjoyed our drinks; Shrimp Cocktail was terrific, Caesar Salad wonderful and the Steaks, outstanding.
I look forward to treating my daughter from NY to dinner at Stone's over the holiday.
Service is probably one of the best I’ve experienced. Delicious Steaks from grass fed cows. Chef sent out complimentary appetizers. The entire experience with the staff was phenomenal from beginning to end. A little pricey but really not that bad considering the portion size, meal quality and everything else I mentioned
Terrific food, drinks and atmosphere! The meatball in maple marinara served to us compliments of the chef was one of the best I've had in my life. I had a cocktail called the Campfire slider (if I recall correctly) which was Rye whiskey, orange bitters, chocolate bitters and something else. It was one of the best mixed drinks I've enjoyed in a long time. Our steaks were cooked perfectly to order. 10 out of 10 and am recommending Stone's to anyone who'll listen.

Had the special Thanksgiving dinner. It was good for a special event but I will stick with the steak entrees.
The Thanksgiving experience was awesome. The service was efficient and gave you plenty of time between courses. The meal itself was delicious. My wife and I will be frequenting Stone's more often in the future.
Service and food was excellent, the owner checked in with our party to ensure everything was good. The room temperature was a little cold, but could have just me. Would recommend for any occasion.
We go here for our anniversary every year and it is always an amazing experience. Our server Anastasia was wonderful and funny.
We will definitely be back - excellent meal. Our son, who was with us, had the chicken riggies and said they were the best he ever had.
Saw this restaurant on OpenTable and decided last minute to go there with my son since we were in Syracuse for the evening. We were greeted immediately and seated. It was nice not to have a long wait with a crowd in a loud chain restaurant on a Friday night! Service was wonderful and although there was a wait for the drinks and food, it was worth it. We waited a little too long for the bill, but overall, I was happy and am planning on coming back with my wife next.
Easily the best if not the best steakhouse in Syracuse. Top 5 restaurant.
