Ate outside on patio by fountain…could definitely use candles or lighting on the tables. Service by Nate was excellent and friendly! The swordfish and scallop special was one of the best swordfish entrees I have ever had! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The shrimp and scallops, seafood casserole and all our entrees were great. No need for take out boxes🤪
The hostess at the door greeted us promptly and seated us professionally ahead of our reserved time. She was excellent. The quality of our food was well above average. Our meats were tender and our vegetables were fresh. The presentation was that of a diner with no garnish. Our server was excellent. I believe her name was Emma. I would request her again if I returned to the restaurant. The value of the cocktails, entrees, salads, and desserts far missed the mark. The over-priced items did not reflect the quality of food, beverage, or the ambiance of the dining room. Service by our server far -exceeded the quality of the food. The table was sparce and set-ups were only delivered after we ordered our food. This experience did not live up to the reputation of Stonewood Grill. Other locations provide a much better dining experience. This experience was very average but very over-priced when compared to other eateries in the area.
We always enjoy Stonewood when we go. We took another couple who had never been before and they enjoyed it as well. Thanks Stonewood.
Excellent Food and service - our waiter was great 😊
Celebrating husband 50th birthday
Everything was absolutely wonderful! Delicious food, great service, nice atmosphere, good prices. I would recommend for sure!
Our dinner experience was all around great. We are first time customers and we decided on your establishment because my Son wanted a good steak on his Birthday so we decided to give Stonewood a try. everything was great until our waiter asked us about dessert and it kind of surprised us. There should be some kind of small piece of something sweet on the house for anyone celebrating a Birthday. when we made the reservation we mentioned the birthday and when we were at our table we notified our waiter as well. So that was a disappointment especially when we spent a good amount of money.
Bruschetta was the best of our meal. Maybe we set our expectations too high but we were not “wowed” over our food at all. Waiter was attentive and courteous so that was a pleasure.
WOW! DONT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AT THIS LOCATION BUT ITS DEFINATELY NOT A STONEWOODS FORMAT! TOTAL FAIL IF THEY ARE TRYING TO COPY VINCE CARTERS. Food was ok, service was ok but just felt like a sizzler type atmosphere with high ticket prices. No urgency, drinks empty, dirty dishes left on table as they walk by no one asks if you need anything????
On top of that it was my Dads 85th Birthday and I called and was told that they can do a happy birthday dessert and song. Hostess confirmed he would take care of it. NEVER HAPPENED!!! We waited and waited and finally we just ordered our own dessert and left. I had a better time at Buckys gas station next door.
NEVER AGAIN AT THIS LOCATION FOR ME...............
Our reservation was seated on time to a excellent booth. Our waitress was personable and efficient. Drinks served promptly. It took a little while for
our food to arrive. Not bad but could have been better. Food was excellent
and cooked correctly the first time. A little pricey but over all a excellent
Food tasted good, service was great. Menu selection was very poor not enough main dishes to choose from. Considering it's a higher-end restaurant would be nice to see employees have a dress code, so you don't feel like you went to McDonald's and paid $36 for steak. This was my first time to this restaurant.
My ribeye steak was cooked to order and was very tasteful. My wife ordered the French onion soup and crab dip, but was not impressed. The orange cake was very moist and flavorful
Food was good, waitress did not understand drink order. And now they charge for bread. $100 for two people.
My family and I went to Stonewood for a last meal in Florida before we left to go home. I had looked at the reviews and they were all really good and the food looked amazing. But I soon found out that was all wrong. We were welcomed at the entrance by the host and taken to our table. But the server we had at the start was different at the end. She left us midway and someone else had to pick up after her. In between the two ladies switching we had two other servers ask us questions in which we were confused of why we had 4 different servers. Then the food comes out and my family enjoyed their meal, and I was enjoying mine until I saw that the salmon wasn’t fully cooked (Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon) and so I sent it back to get it cooked and then the whole meal came back not touched, same position because they just put it in the microwave. The vegetables were piping hot but before they were cold. So that was also another sign it just came from the microwave. I would not recommend to anyone
Just like all the other reviews, the service is very poor. We were seated and sat for about 10 minutes without being greeted and walked out. Seating was dirty and booth benches were tore. Not a high end resturant.
Horrible management. Severs took forever for everything. Forgot to give us Utensils and forgot our sides. Steaks were over cooked and cold when we got them.
Chef Special of Sea Bass was excellent. We were celebrating a milestone birthday, and our waiter, Tim, made it special.
Food was good as usual, but service was fairly non-existent. Two very large (20+) parties sat next to us in the large room. After placing our order we had trouble even getting water service. Bar served martinis in rocks glasses. Not what you expect when spending $9.50 each. Our bill would have been bigger if anyone cares to ask if we wanted another. I guess they are spread too thin with no one to work.
The food was good and came hot. The server was attentive. Comparing with our last experience here, much much improved. The actual food delivery to table cadence was a little untimely as our main course arrived shortly after salad. Overall though a good meal.
Salad came out with blue cheese in stead of ranch, My steak was Medium Rare and My husband’s Medium and it was supposed to be the other way around so we had to just switch our cuts of steak with each other. I figured it would have been an upscale restaurant for my husband’s birthday and seats were torn, I made reservations and they ask occasion and did nothing for him… so it just wasn’t a good experience.
Felt like we were being rushed .
Felt like we were eating in a fast food restaurant.
Good was luke warm at best and tiny portions.
Not dining at SWG again !
Excellent experience. Will definitely be back. Good value for the money. Pork chop is to die for.
The atmosphere and food was incredible, but it was our server Tim who was absolutely incredible. We don’t have the opportunity to get out often and he made the evening even more delightful.
Food was undercooked two times on the same steak
Food was delicious and delivered on time
This is the second time we have eaten here and it was pretty good. Service was good.
The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Great experience. Waiter was the best.
Service was absolutely horrible ! Slow and rude! Steak was over cooked twice .
Filet Mignon was perfect! Enjoyed it with a glass of wine and a salad. Wonderful.
Good except that they were out of several ordered items
Thanks to Stonewood Grille staff for making our 45th, sapphire, a very lovely evening. Upon arrival the staff extended anniversary congratulations to us and presented us with an unexpected gift card from our daughter. We were seated by a window with a nice view. Claire was an excellent waitress. She took pictures of by the interior waterfall so we would have a keepsake. She was very attentive to us all evening making sure we had everything we needed to have a nice dinner. She made sure the chef knew how to fix my prime rib end cut -- perfect. She helped us select wine. My husband's salmon was excellent. We were served a free dessert for our anniversary - creme berle'. It was delicious. At the end of dinner, we were given a anniversary congratulations signed by all the staff. We will definitely return to this restaurant. We will always cherish this experience.
Food was excellent other than room temperature fries and slow service. We totally understand the slower service due to staff shortages everywhere but thought it was worth mentioning. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back!
Since moving to Daytona Beach 2 years ago, we have eaten at Stonewood many times. It is our go-to restaurant when we have guests, and for special occasions. Our server, Nate, was terrific. We will definitely be back
Stonewood Daytona/LPGA was not on their A game last night. Had a reservation and was 10 minutes early. Had to wait 25 minutes after my scheduled time to be seated. Front desk staff was disorganized and not very welcoming. Once seated, waited another 10 minutes before a staffer asked if we had been helped - we said no- she left to find us a server. The food took over 30 minutes to come out. They offer bread while you wait, but failed to mention they ran out of breadsticks until they brought the basket. French onion soup was cold, bread on the chicken club was burned. I like this restaurant and hope this is not a new trend. This occurred in the dining room. Perhaps the bar area would have been better.
Ordered the Tuscan chicken dish, it was flavorless and missing sundried tomatoes and who knows what else.
Felt warm in the building like a run down building lacking AC.
Notified the waitress about the dish and that’s where it started and ended.
What else can I say?
The pretzel bread was good.
This is the first time in over two years that we have been back to this restaurant. The reason is the reviews were showing poor service and spotty food. As it turned out the service was good, as was the food. There were the usual people who were under dressed for a nicer restaurant, more like they were going to Burger King. That sort of put a dent in the ambiance.
All and all, we enjoyed the evening. The wine selection is not large, but there are sufficient good choices. As we all know, restaurants are struggling to find good help, but our server, Stefanie, did a good job of keeping in touch without being intrusive.
Considering the overall experience, everything was good except the food was pricey. It wouldn’t be a regular eating place but an occasional one. But you have all those rich people moving into margaritaville so you don’t need the locals anyway.
We love Stonewood! If you’re looking for a special place to celebrate, this is it! An added bonus—they take reservations! Go and enjoy!
We had the best waiter, Nate. It’s been a long time since we’ve had someone who really enjoys their job at any restaurant. The blue cheese chips were hot and a good appetizer. We definitely will ask to be seated in Nates section when we return.
