   A great service experience and knowledgable staff. The food was delicious--had a fried tomato salad; it was well dressed and the fried green tomatoes were perfectly seasoned. The restaurant was clean, staff was busy and focused, and the bathrooms looked clean and refreshed of supplies. A recommended new find for us in DC!

   Had a great lunch here with a coworker! We had the ham and cheese hush puppies and Pimento Cheese burger, so very good! Also, if you are a deviled egg fan, get the one with bacon jam, it won’t disappoint!

   I think your experience here directly relates to the server you get. I read the bad reviews but with so many good ones we went. We lived most of the bad reviews. All courses arrived together. Food was cold, the beet salad was really a pile of arugula with about half a beet sliced around it and dressing was missed. A whisky ordered was out of stock but left on the check. The child with us ordered shrimp and grits from the kids menu and we were served and charged for the adult version, Drink service was slow. It’s a beautiful restaurant but was a disappointing experience. I wanted to love it but they missed almost every mark.

   Stopped in for dinner after a Sunday matinee. Food was tasty, but as the restaurant got busier dishes started to arrive cold and wait times for bar beverages got longer. Overall pleasant experience

   What a beautiful sun filled location! I loved the wood details, the floors, it was all so rich. The food was delish as expected from the Knead Group.

   My mother joined my two daughters and me for brunch. The food was fabulous! Two of us had the avocado toast, chefs kiss!!! Mom had scrambled eggs and a waffle while the other daughter had eggs, bacon, and a biscuit. The jam with the biscuits was some of the freshest we ever had; must be made in house. We thoroughly enjoyed the service, our waiter was kind, funny, and attentive. 10 out of 10!!!

   As the last dinner of our three night stay in DC, Succotash PRIME was underwhelming. There were parts of the “Taste the South” tasting menu we enjoyed, but others were only “so so.” The cornbread was good, and I enjoyed the smoked wings; my wife enjoyed the fried green tomato salad. The shrimp and grits were mediocre, and the chicken and waffles were similarly “okay.” We agreed that the smoked ribeye was good, and the desserts were also generally good. My wife enjoyed her “Bourbon Frost” drink, but as a non-drinker, I would’ve liked to know what my options were; the menu offered none. Service was pretty good, but not exceptional. All in all, when we return to DC, I can’t imagine us returning to Succotash PRIME.

   We had a reservation, but we’re asked to wait an additional 10 minutes to be seated. It took a long time for my drink to arrive though I did notice that the bar was crowded. Our server later admitted they were short staffed which explained the delays. Food arrived and it was just alright. Ordered fried green tomatoes and expected more tomatoes (3). The dish had a lot or arugula, cheese and dressing piled on top (better described as salad with fried green tomatoes.). I ordered the rice bowl. Flavor-wise it works; great kimchi. Texture -wise it didn’t. Most everything, except the corn, was soft. It needed crunch and though there were crispy eggplant pieces, there wasn’t nearly enough of them. My husband ordered the ribs with a side of succotash. He thought both were very good.

    My husband and I ordered the "Taste of the South!" It is served family style and was delicious. There was enough left over for lunch the next day.

    Overall, the service was great! There are mixed reviews on the food! The ribs were tough and they were too small to be tough. The corn cakes lacked flavor- they needed a little something more but were ok! The huspuppies, the chicken and wafles were tasty! The crab cakes were tasty! I would return but not order the ribs - we tasted one and left the rest. The drinks were on point.

    Server was pushy upfront about us ordering entrees quickly even after ordering a handful of apps first. Then the entrees came out wrong and with out proper cutlery, he was no where to be found and never checked back in. Food was ehh and nothing to brag about, but considering all things not worth sending back.

    I was not pleased with this place. Breading on the chicken was extremely hard, I order corn bread to go and when I ate it about an hour later it was so dry. I took one bite and threw the rest out. not a fan of the menu, usually I can find something anywhere,

    I had the catfish and the lettuce "slaw" was REALLY salty. So salty, in fact, that I couldn't eat it. The fish was great however. My husband had the shrimp and grits and the grits were kind of watery, perhaps because of the additional sauce on the dish (not sure what it was). When I had them as a side dish last time they were perfect. The banana pudding and hummingbird cake were both delish!

    Succotash is an excellent place for a special evening, celebration, or just to enjoy. The atmosphere and food really lends to a dinner you won’t forget. If you go the full appetizer, dinner, and dessert route, expect to spend $70 per person, but otherwise a dinner and drink runs about $35. A little pricey, but Chef Lee knows what he’s doing and it’s a terrific meal.

    We were in DC for a conference and the restaurant was recommended. It is a block away from the Grand Hyatt hotel we stayed at and an easy walk. The food and ambiance were a special treat. The food was also excellent. Starter size Chicken and waffles and dirty chicken were ordered with collard greens and Mac n Cheese sides. The dirty chicken Korean style glaze was a nice change. The fried chicken has the right seasoning and crunch. The banana pudding was not too sweet the way we like it. Highly recommend!

    I went to celebrate my birthday with my friend. I usually go to the harbor, but decided to try the dc location. The server Kwame was rude and changed the entire mood of the evening.

    We went to this restaurant for brunch with another couple. The waitress was AMAZING! We thoroughly enjoyed our food. My husband and I got the shrimp and grits is was delicious, however, it wasn’t hot. We didn't want to send it back but should have. It was good never less.

    Really poor service. We were set without silverware or napkins on the table. Drinks never arrived. Food was OK but did not come out as ordered. Waiter was new, but had little understanding of the menu.

    I had lunch. I was surprised that the bill came without an itemized receipt, only the merchant and customer copies. The chicken sandwich was okay. There was not really a lot of chicken, and there was a hard part in it. The fried were standard. I have eaten here before, and it is no longer what I remember.
