Sugar Factory - Chicago River North
Sugar Factory Rainbow Sliders
Our classic sliders served on colorful buns with American cheese, pickles, crispy onions, and our signature sauce. Accompanied by a complimentary duck to take home
Romaine hearts, shaved Parmesan cheese, brioche croutons, parmesan crostini with creamy Caesar dressing
Loved it!! It was my birthday and I Ahmad great time and the food was excellent!!
Drinks came out after the food. Food and drinks were very overpriced for the quality. Very disappointing.
Always love it here. I’ve tried something different every time and have loved it all. This time, my boyfriend and I had date night. The only thing we didn’t like was the mac n cheese on his burger, it was a bit bland, not much flavor at all. I ordered the hot Cheetos burger, it was great. Drinks were amazing, as always. Our server was great too!
The food was really delicious and we enjoyed the ambiance.
Was surprised that the service fee didn’t include gratuity for our server. A 20% service fee plus gratuity is a bit much. We paid $36 on an $88 bill between service fee and gratuity. Our server was great but the fee is ridiculous.
Not sure what the problem was. I went on Sunday evening with my partner and had - hands down - the worst restaurant experience in recent memory. The hosts were exceptionally rude; service was slow (15+ minutes just for drinks); the bartender was significantly overpouring (around double the vodka that should go in one); and in general, there was a lot of standing around by the staff. Additionally - non-booth seating is extremely cramped. Was back-to-back with a stranger for the duration of our visit. Ended up leaving before even ordering food, which was the best option at that point.
Would not recommend.
Drinks are HUGE, be prepared to share!! They are unbelievably sweet (just what you should expect from a place called the Sugar Factory)! A bit pricey but you’re paying for the experience.
This restaurant is not worth your money. The food looks pretty and the music is fun, but that is what your paying for. The bathrooms were filthy, the only food item edible was the French fries. We had better desserts at Ghiradellis. A sampler appetizer, hot chocolate, a shake, and sundae were $100 dollars. 20% service charge added to bill and doesn’t go to the servers. Way better dinning experiences in Chicago. Not worth your money or time.
Waitress was awesome. Very kind and attentive. Very chill place just a little unorganized with valet and sitting. This is the second time I went on a Saturday and well the woman’s bathroom was pretty bad. But i understand that it was busy. Drinks were ridiculously strong and some flavors just didn’t taste right. I guess for a first time drinker that comes off as a bit much. I totally enjoyed the appletini . Overall great experience and ill definitely go again. But ill do my research on what to get before that:)
being going there since they opened
second time now service is mediocre if I can say maybe less
I should have known when they called to letting me that I'll be charged %20 service and one more time we we got seated .that's for 3 of us
food was just warm burgers very well done .
hope thing will get better
Upon entry the restaurant was very clean and peaceful. I was greeted by the host and asked to show ID and proof of vaccination. We were seated at a booth in the bar area and friendly reminded that there would be a 20% service charge prior to eating. The drinks are a staple for us so we ordered two and they did not disappoint. The food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious.
Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing.
Went for my sons birthday this place is very pricey probably wouldn’t go back just because
Would definitely go back!
My children and I really enjoyed it! We came for an early birthday dinner and it was really nice!
Mom always said "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all". Enough said.
Great service......waiter was excellent
Restaurant was dirty and disorganized - service was slow. The food was terrible. Drinks are cool and different, but pricey.
Friendly server. A bit slow on service but understandable on New Year’s Eve. The portion was generous, and the food tasted good. What threw me off was to be charged double tips. The server explained that the 20% tip that was required was for the bartenders, and he would get no tips, so we paid an additional tip for him.
Food is really good, a little overpriced but you also get such an amazing atmosphere.
The whole place just felt gross
Overall, we were very happy with our experience and the energy at this festive SUGAR FACTORY CHICAGO location. Loved the happiness in every room as you can hear a birthday celebration virtually every few minutes as people sang happy birthday along with some hip ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY/top 40 songs that played loudly in the background. Music was loud and if you love to be joyful and simply enjoy life SUGAR Factory is the place for you. If you want to complain about happy people singing happy birthday every few minutes; take your boredom and negativity elsewhere. SUGAR is about just enjoying the sweet life! I would have given higher marks for service but initially when we walked in we were not happy with the service as I had made a reservation and there were plenty of empty tables yet we still had to wait a while. I found the young busboy to be quite rude and unwelcoming when I simply asked him a simple question about seating. We wanted a booth as I noted on the opentable reservation but we got a middle table instead. Even though, there were booths available, we were told it was for larger groups; however, I did spot some with fewer people just like us so that excuse seemed to be untrue. As the night progressed, TAYLOR our server was wonderful and the main reason we provided higher marks toward the end of the night. She was down to earth, friendly and did the best she could considering the large number of people she was helping. Other people that helped to improve our service experience toward the end of the night were Victoria and the other hostess at the front desk. It is understandable that earlier in the evening with so many people it is difficult to provide the best service but all these people made up for the initial negative impression when we first arrived by providing excellent service after we were seated and until we completed our dining experience at Sugar Factory. Highly recommend place for all parties or COOL NONalcoholic drinks too!
Thomas was so great food and drinks came out fast nice experience just a lil too pricey
We had a great time thanks to our server, Kyle. She was awesome
It was a good girls trip lunch date! Will definitely go again.
Got great pictures but the food was below average and the prices were insane.
We had a great time with server Bud! He was enthusiastic and lots of fun! His personality was awesome!
Please note - they charge a 20% service fee on top of gratuity. You end up paying 40% on top of an already pricey menu. We were not aware the 20% service fee did not cover gratuity. We will return to try and track down our server to tip him. For some reason, they served warm bottled water. Food was very mediocre, except for the shakes and drinks. Restaurant felt sort of grimy and not up to the standards of the Rosemont location. Disappointed in our visit here.
The host and the manager, Basil were terrible, but since it was my daughter birthday we stayed. For one the tables were placed very close together. Then they sat us, a party of 4 at a table for 2. The food was high priced but very low quality. My daughter ordered a dry ice drink and her friend had a shake. Which is the only thing my party liked. This location really should be shut down. The bathroom was filthy and the ambiance was terrible! The music was loud and inappropriate. If I ever go to the sugar factory again it won’t be this location. If I could give them negative stars I would.
Great place for the family to celebrate a birthday, SJ was an outstanding server. Highly recommend.
Their food is average, but their drinks and shakes are worth it. Nice experience and waiter Thomas was great.
Had to wait about ten minutes even though we had a five o clock reservation. Atmosphere is fun and funky. TVs show tons of Kardashians eating there lol. We got a $34 (alcohol added would be another ten or so bucks) giant goblet of a much too sweet drink but it’s the “thing to do”…four of us didn’t finish it. I also got a coke and it was flat. I didn’t even drink it. Our server took forever to get to us. My husband got those rainbow sliders and said they were good. My daughter and I split the filet and mashed potatoes and green beans almondine. It was fine. But we had just had amazing mashed potatoes at another restaurant for lunch so these didn’t even compare. The green beans were the best part of the meal. I told them it was my daughters birthday and the server (who I don’t even think checked on us during the meal) brought out a free scoop of ice cream, put a candle in it, lit it, and walked away as she said “you can sing now”. Didn’t even stay to sing along or watch as she blew out the candle. We ordered one of the tie-dye milkshakes. Tasted like a bad vanilla shake. Not worth it by any means. My husband and I got the clssoc sundae which included a scoop of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry in a line with whip cream separating them. There was literally just a drizzle of chocolate sauce so I had to ask for more. Had SO MANY MORE BETTER SUNDAES ELSEWHERE FOR A TENTH OF THE PRICE. Then the waitress had to have the awkward speech about how a service fee of 20% was already added but “that doesn’t include a personal tip for me or anything”. Awkward….
Never going here again.
We came to celebrate a family birthday and our waitress, Leslie, was outstanding!! She was so attentive, polite, and provided an overall memorable and positive experience for us!
Server was sweet food was great
The food and beverages were good, and the service was outstanding. I do feel that everything is overpriced.
The server Sarah was amazing. Food was excellent!
Taylor was our server she was super nice , very friendly and made our lunch pleasant..
It was great! Our waitress Taylor was the best!
