We had an amazing birthday dinner. Jess was our server and she was fantastic. Great recommendations throughout the meal that made everything perfect.

Went at 5pm on July 4th to celebrate my husbands birthday. Place was not busy and quiet. Food took way too long to come out. We ordered the sugar bacon, pork was not cooked long enough to crisp it up but instead rubbery and soft. My burger and my son in law’s were over cooked, well done. Truffle fries very good. My husband’s scallops were perfectly cooked and he substituted mashed potatoes for risotto. Been beans were blanched but not cooked enough, too raw for his taste. My sister and boyfriend shared a chicken fried chicken. They were happy as well, chicken was tender. Birthday dessert was no choice, only bread pudding. Extremely dense and lacking spices. My husband is a chocoholic so we ordered a chocolate mouse cheesecake for him, I can’t honestly comment on that as it’s too rich for my liking. Overall, visit was different from previous visits. Maybe due to holiday? Can’t say for sure.

Second time at this restaurant. Must be new management. Our waiter was inattentive and distracted. Iced tea served with very little ice, had to request ice two times. Menu lacked descriptions. Sugarbacon used to be just that and was amazing. This time it morphed into pork belly. My waffle camo out soggy. Food came out of the kitchen cold when it should have been hot. Last time we visited it was packed. This time it was empty. Also sewer was overflowing on the sidewalk and I didn’t realize it until after lunch. Made me even more sorry to have just fined there. I’ve been in the restaurant business and realize how hard it is to click on a Sunday morning. I also don’t take this sort of review lightly. I know we won’t be back. I almost never send food back. The majority of people at our table sent items back.

I'm so confused by the good reviews for this place. I took my dad and husband here thinking it was a safe bet because we had been here before the pandemic and it was great. That was not the case. First, we waited at least 10 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us. Then when she finally passed by and let us know she'd be with us, we waited another 10 minutes. Fine, it's a busy day so I wasn't too annoyed. When she finally took our orders, she seemed a little out of sorts. She initially told us what we ordered wasn't on the brunch menu, and we couldn't order it. But my husband pointed out that it indeed was on the menu we could order from. Very odd that she didn't know what was on the menu but whatever. We ordered devilled eggs. The presentation looked thrown together and one of the eggs was even missing a chunk of the white. Very sloppy and mediocre taste. Fast forward to at least AN HOUR later, we still have no food. We only ordered two burgers and two shrimp and grits. I'll spare you the details of how it took almost another 30 minutes and several people coming to our table to tell us that there were X number of orders in front of us. I should mention that Jasmine, who was not even our server, stopped at our table to check on us more than once and was the only person who seemed genuinely concerned. The part that really bothered me through the whole thing was management's lack of accountability. Telling me several times that they were overbooked and that "it's the Father's Day crowd" is truly insane. And to add insult to injury, the food was TERRIBLE and 3 of the 4 entrees were wrong. One was a plain cheeseburger. The consolation prize? Free dessert that I declined. Why would I want anything else when my basic order couldn't be fulfilled properly & timely? My dad asked them to remove something from the bill. Honestly, we shouldn't have paid for that experience. I should have made a bigger fuss. I was just irritated, still hungry & ready to leave.

We waiting over an hour and a half for our food after we ordered. The staff seemed frazzled, and the restaurant didn’t seem ready for the Father’s Day crowds. My family of six had reservations. And instead of putting us on a proper table. We were sat on a plastic folding table with a black table cloth. I was so disappointed with our experience. Especially since it was a special occasion.
