Sullivan's Steakhouse - King of Prussia
火曜日 - 木曜日 16:00 - 17:00 20:00 - 22:00
Everytime i eat at Sullivans i get great service and high quality food. Yes it is a steak house and the pricing is high but in line with all the other competitive steakhouses like it.
When in the KoP area i do my best to eat there since i know they are very consistent all around.
The extra touches of rose pedals and an anniversary card made the night feel extra special. We enjoyed the food, however, the scalloped potatoes lacked flavor. We had a wonderful server as well! A very nice place to celebrate!!
The steaks are amazing, but from there it is downhill. The broccoli wasn't cooked. It was barely steamed and had no flavor. Our server took the mashed potatoes bowl from the table even though it had at least 2 scoops left in it while more of the table was still eating their entree. My fiance and father both ordered medium steak, but theirs looked identical to the others who ordered medium rare. Overall for the money I'd expect a 5 star dining experience and it wasn't close to it. Outback would have been a better option at half the cost and probably twice the food.
Slow service. Overcooked steak for my son, undercooked steak for me
Steaks ordered rare and medium rare both came out medium. For the one ordered rare, they offered to make another which I did not take since my family would have been finished eating by the time replacement steak came out. We’ve been eating at Sullivan’s for years and the last three visits were mediocre.
We had a lovely anniversary dinner with great service and delicious food. It was rather loud, due to a few loud tables. Otherwise, we had a great time.
Steaks were good,
Pork chop was tough. Really long wait after we finished main course.
Great for date night.
Server was great-we we’re there for our anniversary
Beyond disappointed. Appetizers were great! Bartender was awesome. Waited 90 minutes for our entrees. Steaks and sides were cold . Lobster tail was over cooked (like rubber). Worst experience I have ever had. Would not recommend.
I went with my girlfriend and I thought it was part of restaurant week but it wasn't and the chicken that I had was ok and the steak my girlfriend had she let me taste it and it very delicious I really liked her food
Just plain bad. I was lucky to get a good piece of steak and extremely lucky to have ordered appetizers right when we sat down. Otherwise, with the delayed service and inconsistent food quality, we would have gotten up and driven down the street to Ruth Chris.
Brian, our server was great! My wife and I had a wonderful dinner as always.
The restaurant ran out of the wine we chose from the menu and my steak was very under cooked. It was sent back and the person I was with ate their steak alone and I in turn did the same. Not a very good experience.
LONG REVIEW-This was my first time going to Sullivan's. Upon arrival, There was no hostess to greet us.
Another staff did assist us and went to get the hostess after about 5 minutes of just standing there. We were seated and it took about 8-10 minutes before anyone came to serve us. This was after I asked one of the servers who poured the water if he could assist in finding us a server. The server acknowledged there was a mix up and was apologetic. The food was great except for the Brussels sprouts and the steak, which was disappointing considering this is a steakhouse. I ordered the cow boy cut rib-eye and I'm not sure if it was the dry rub or what it was that made the steak less appealing. I requested it cooked medium. The calamari was the best I've ever had and the sides were also great sharing size. There were other hiccups with our service including forgetting to bring out certain food and requested condiments. She was so apologetic and asked the manager to provide us with additional accommodations for all the issues we experienced. I would return but would try something other than steak or a different cut.
Sullivan's is coming back. The food was fresh and the service was good. An educated server is a bonus many times when you want to try something different.
Lunch date with the husband. Excellent service, great meal and lovely decor. Entered monthly dinner for two drawing...fingers crossed I want to return for dinner soon.
Had high hopes. Wanted to order the lamb chops but was told they didn’t have any (a regular menu item), was told they had not had them all week, so I ordered the scallops. Others in my party ordered the filet and sea bass. The scallops and sea bass were extremely salty, with the scallops being skimpy and over cooked. The filet was fine,. Told the server things were salty, she said she would advise the kitchen. I’m glad to know the next person to order scallops and sea bass, theirs will be great! Also ordered two martinis, both of which came up short after pouring. For $13.00 and $14.00 per martini, nobody likes feeling gypped. Either use a smaller martini glass, or fill it all the way.
Not the same Sullivans we have been enjoying for years. Both the food and the service are not up to their prior standards.
Would like to express my appreciation for Florence, our waitress. She was very welcoming, efficient, attentive, and absolutely perfect with her followup during the meal. She stopped by to check on things without being intrusive, was just outstanding in her efforts to make us happy. Being attentive without getting in the way is a very fine line, and she just handled it flawlessly.
Waiter eh? Expected more professional
Had that before when we were there
One of drinks had to be sent back
One of steaks lousy
Will maybe give another shot, but unimpressed this time
We had a great evening at the Duckhorn dinner and tasting. DJ and the Sullivann's Team did an outstanding job. We hope for more wine dinners.
My wife and I have eaten here before and as usual the food was very good. The steaks are always top notch and done to my liking. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars across the board was the temperature in the room was quite warm. More so than usual. I was in a suit which compounded it all the more.
As usually great service. Love this place.
Sullivans is consistently good in every area, food, service, ambiance, noise level and comfort (no a/c blowing directly on you like many restaurants). It's always where we go to celebrate a special day and they never disappoint. We started with Ahi tuna and cheesesteak spring rolls, both excellent. Our filets were cooked to perfection and were paired with piping hot creamed spinach and baked potato. We rounded out the evening with fresh fruit and a chocolate melt down. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. It was an excellent evening.
Amazing as always!
Steaks were not delivered at proper temperature and needed to be redone. Restaurant needs a serious facelift. Staff very friendly and good. My issues are not with them.
For the price, try others in area.
Overall everything was great. The lighting was just extremely dark. I’m young and it was too dark for me. So for an elderly person I’m sure they wouldn’t be able to clearly see.
Our dinner was not what I was expecting. Our waitresses name was Elizabeth. Every time she came to the table we had to ask her a question about the menu. She never asked if we had any questions. What made it worse was that she’d rush through her answer and quickly leave the table... but we weren’t finished with our questions. Every time she came back we had another question because her answer didn’t fully explain the menu(the sure thing menu). On top of the not-so-good waitress, we waited a very long time for our food when there were only three tables in the restaurant. We understood that our meals would take a while to be prepared correctly, but we had to wait for our dishes to be cleared and for our server to come back to take our dessert order. We waited an hour for our dessert to be served and one of them even came out wrong. Our main courses weren’t what we had hoped either. The steak was on the dry side and the dark sauce that came with it was absolutely disgusting. The only good thing was the mashed potatoes. Overall, I was let down by my first time here and do not have plans to go back. If my family is spending $500 on a meal, we want the food to be worth the price. My steak from longhorn was cooked better than my filet from here, and I can get that for $13.
Food is always cooked perfectly. A very enjoyable experience!
The hostess killed our experience. We arrived at 7 for a 7:30 reservation and was coldly greeted by the hostess who said she could seat us but wouldn't provide a menu until closer to our reservation. We agreed figuring we'd get a drink and maybe an app but then we weren't seated for 20 minutes. Even a couple that walked-in without a reservation got seated before us.
Then, my dirty martini was a short pour so I said something to waiter but he just laughed me off. The steaks were good and mostly cooked to order but the waiter never asked if we wanted a sauce on them. After they came out without any sauce we asked the waiter about it and he brought us the Sullivan's Homemade Sauce which no one liked and would have preferred A1. The fingerling potatoes were under-cooked. It was our anniversary so they comped our dessert and had a nice card and some rose petals on the table which was a very nice touch. Price-wise they're competing with Ruth Chris's and Morton's but they're definitely not in the same ballpark with them. In a pinch go here because we got a reservation the same day which would never happen at one of the finer steak restaurants.
Disappointed for the first time in nearly 2 decades. Steaks had no flavor - I’ve never had to salt and pepper it before and it needed a ton. Plus, that wonderful crispy crust from searing was MIA. So sad. And the wine list - come on, you can’t put the year or more details on it? We asked what type of cab from a winery that offers 3 and they had no idea and had to got bring us 2 bottles to decide because basic info wasn’t on the wine list. It felt very much like they were trying to defend the new ownership as well as we discussed it and they were very defensive about the whole thing. The wonderful staff we have gotten used to over the years - there wasn’t a single familiar face in the place. The waitress was nice but couldn’t answer some basic questions. After nearly 20 years of regular dining there we aren’t sure we will go back.
We eat at Sullivan’s often so for our 40th anniversary we went with another couple. Although I said it was our anniversary when I made the reservation & then again when we were seated, our waitress hardly paid us any attention. When I say no attention, I mean she NEVER stopped back for drink orders, NEVER brought us bread, NEVER asked us if we wanted dessert. She ruined our meal experience we all agreed. We never would have thought anything but a nearby table (with a different waitress) had rose petals decorating their table & were given a special anniversary dessert. Now I don’t need those things but some bread would have been nice and maybe if we didn’t have to flag people down to get another drink. Lesson learned...it’s all about the service, but the food was exemplary as always. Don’t go for special occasions would be my advice. Morton’s, Capital Grill & Ruth’s Chris may be better choices I am sorry to say since Sullivan’s has always been our go to restaurant.
The service was excellent and the food is always consistent. We had the filet and the sea bass which were all well prepared. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I were looking forward to a great meal and experience based on reports from a co-worker. We were extremely disappointed. First, the hostess asked me if I was Italian (based on my last name). When I told her I was of Italian decent, she told me she liked pasta. I thought that was rather interesting, but put it out of my mind as we were seated.
Once seated, the dining room seemed very dark, and the booth itself had seen better days.
Our server was very inexperienced. she talked very fast, and her voice was very soft. It was very hard to hear what she was saying. The entire wait staff seemed to not know what they were doing. They were all running around in what appeared to be a very disorderly fashion. The booth next o ours had their entree brought out before their salad had been served.
My NY strip steak was JUST OK. My wife had the small fillet, and she said it tasted good. The best thing about my meal was the dessert, bananas Foster.
Overall, I thought it was very expensive for for what we had to eat. If you want to charge $60 or more dollars for a steak, the food itself should be better than what you typically cook at home, and the service should be excellent. In our case, neither of those things occurred.
Calamari and fillets were outstanding. Service was excellent, friendly and welcoming.
We will be back often
The person who received us tried to put us on the table at the entrance though 75% of the restaurant was open. When I asked for another table, he gave me attitude and asked in a nasty tone for me to pick the table I wanted. The filet arrived at a rare temperature though I requested medium+. The waiter asked me to leave the tip in cash though I had already given him and he had processed my credit card.
The food was mediocre but not worth the price
Great service. Nice people. Amazing food. Clean. All you would want in a restaurant.
We got the prefix menu... The steak was not that good. I would not order that again.
