I didn't catch our server's name due to the mask, however she was attentive and took care of us with perfect, effortless grace. Our meal was delicious and we can't wait to return in warm weather!!

Good service, terrible food, and a dining room filled with drunks at the bar. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely excellent food and service. The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had and I am a sushi snob. My husband had the salmon and it was absolutely cooked to perfection. We also tried the hummus which is amazing and the tuna is about the freshest I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for an absolutely amazing meal with great Ambience on the water in Boothbay Harbor, this is the restaurant you need to go to. The drinks were also amazing and the view of the Harbor is the best in town.

We visited on the off season and had a late evening reservation. Overall the service is good. The food is mediocre compared to other Mediterranean restaurants but they have good options and are trying.

Sushi and Sushi rolls were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was slow. The entrees are overpriced for the quality. I had a $35 paella that fell quite short of what I was expecting. My wife had a vegetarian dish that was supposed to feature cauliflower, she felt the rest of the dish outshined the main ingredient. The drinks were decent but as a whole when considering mediocre service and high price entrees I doubt we’ll return. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks each with tip $180

This was an excellent meal! The menu was very creative and interesting - I felt there were many things I could have ordered! And the preparation was excellent! The service was great, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating - and they dealt very professionally and carefully with the COVID risks! All in all, a great experience! I'd highly recommend it - particularly the cauliflower entree - it was so good that we ordered an order for takeout the next night to have at home. Also, I strongly recommend the stuffed eggplant. This is a recipe that is very popular in Turkey, where I've eaten it many times, and this was one of the, if not the best, preparation of it I have ever had!

Taka is consistently delicious and a wonderful meal out. The “service with a smile” is genuine and endearing- the owners truly want you to have a memorable meal. The food itself is delicious- full of flavor and so yummy. Also probably some of the best sushi we have ever had. The deck on the harbor has a beautiful view and is festive with heat lamps, lights and music. My only complaint is that it is a pricey meal- but that’s to be expected on the water. Can’t wait to go back!

The place has absolutely no atmosphere - nothing mediterrean about it other than some of the menu items. Food arrived cold and plating was not particularly attractive. The server was pleasant but not professional looking - he was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. Based on the prices and hype we were expecting ALOT more. We would not recommend or return.

The service was amazing-the waiter was very friendly and accommodating—the food was delicious. If and when I am ever in the area again, I will definitely go back.

The food was fresh and delicious! Service was great, too. We ordered the Damariscotta oysters, lobster sushi, and the paella- wow to all! I would highly recommend Taka.

We were debating on which restaurant to go on our last night in Boothbay Harbor. We decided on Taka Mediterranean Grill and were not disappointed.
I had the Taka Lamb Kabob and husband had steak with pasta. Both were delicious.
The staff were also very professional. Will definitely return on our next visit!

Our food was outstanding! My sister had the fish special and she said it was perfectly cooked, the eggplant on the side was delicious and it was a HUGE portion. My husband had the gound lamb kabob and I had the lamb tip kabobs both of which were delicious. The sauces really enhanced the meat. My son had the sausage pibe and he ate it all! We were initially seated on the patio with a beautiful view of the harbor but when we got cold they very graciously moved us indoors. Highly recommend it.

Enjoyed the eclectic food choices. Tasty Hungarian Pepper Margarita! We had a couple of those along with salads & sushi. Outside dining was enjoyable on the water front. Very thoughtful wait staff.

We had a great time at Taka. We were allowed to bring our pet on the deck while we dined and had a delightful meal and great view! The special fresh halibut and the crab cake were great and the cocktails to start were creative as well.

The food was outstanding, as was the service. A great mix of Mediterranean fare and Continental cuisine.

Nice deck dining and affable service, but the food quality and value were underwhelming. The Anatolian version of Mediterranean cuisine was different. The scallop risotto was very good, light on scallops though. Caprese salad was poor (cheese and tomatoes not good). Falafel was ok, different from standard. Good sized salmon portion. Beyti was good but kind of boring after half a plate. Cocktails were ok, not great. Skipped dessert, went outside for local ice cream.

Once again, another great dining experience! The view, the staff and the food.... perfection!! We love this place!

The view was lovely and the staff was very friendly and accommodating- the food was however bland. We ordered several small dishes that included a pide, falafel plate,blackened octopus, kale salad , and hummus plate. The hummus was delicious but the other dishes were bland. We enjoyed the view and the ambience and overall found the evening enjoyable.

Chef needs to stop ’Lahmacun’ from his menu, unfortunately he doesn’t know how to make it. Great service, friendly waiter with awesome attention to detail. Excellent sushi, sashimi and poke bowl.

Sushi was good. Lamb shank special was not very good. Ambiance was odd - it was a nightclub setup with a restaurant beforehand. Just too touristy for us. Sushi was very good, but would skip everything else.

It was overpriced. They didn't have a printed kid's menu so we were disappointed when we saw on our check that we were charged $8.50 for a small saucer of spaghetti with butter and nothing else to go along with it. We were also disappointed to find a $1.75 charge for bread to replace the tiny amount we were given to eat our appetizer. The $10 salad I had as an entree was small even though I was told it was big enough for an entree and we were charged $12 for 5 small shrimp to go along with it. The food was ok but nothing special and I left hungry after paying $120 for 2 adults and 2 children. Very disappointing.

We ate outdoors with our dog. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and careful re: covid guidelines.

The Mediterranean dishes are excellent; the "standard" fare such as fish sandwich, crab melt, etc., not so much. The service is friendly and thoughtful but slow.

Food was excellent, with upscale presentation. Service was great. Outdoor seating was great looking out over the harbour.

We enjoyed the dining experience. The drinks were great. The oysters were so fresh and our main courses surpassed our expectations. We saved a little room room for their Rice Pudding and it was delicious. The views were great. Place was pretty busy and I know why. It is a great dining place. We will certainly go back when visit Boothbay Maine again.

We ate at Taka several times over the course of a two week stay in the Boothbay area. Every time we have fantastic service and a great meal - we highly recommend Taka to anyone in the Boothbay Harbor area.

sushi was very good. had the avocado salad and it tasted like soap. Not sure if the avocado had something on it to keep it green but the crab even tasted funny. My husband had the lobster boullibaise and it was rubbery and undercooked. Did not each half of it.
They did take half off the lobster dish....and the service was good.
