    Came to Takara a third time. Takara is definitely one of the best restaurant in Sugar Land. If u r craving for some sushi rolls or korean bugogi they have it all. Ambience and location is really nice and food is exceptional taste and quality. We enjoyed the apetizer jalapeneo bomb, sushi rolls and beef bugogi. Highly recommend this place for families, friends with or without kids to gather and have a great time in relaxing ambience with some awesome food.

    Husband and I love it here! We always make reservations online because you best believe there is a wait without one. The food is very much worth it, though! We will continue to recommend Takara to anyone who enjoys sushi!

    I recently visited Takara Sushi& Asian Bistro. And I was blown away by their attention to detail. The sushi was beautifully presented, and the flavors were well-balanced. Highly recommend for a special night out!

    The restaurant was pretty empty by the end of our meal it was completely empty. The waitress left us at the table without service for a long while. The food was good.

    We were a little hesitant to try a new place as we have our usual go to’s for sushi, but we went anyway. There were only a few tables sat when we got there at 7:00 PM on a Saturday night so that discouraged us as well. However, we were in for a huge surprise. The sushi was awesome. The rolls were fabulous and the sashimi was huge cuts of fish. The value for the money it was well worth it. We also had the Shaggy Dog and the Scallop Killer. Both rolls were good but the Shaggy Dog was our favorite!! The drinks from the bar were delicious and our server was so sweet and full of suggestions. We had a great visit and will definitely return!

    It was worst experience ever, they haven’t had table available for us as well as for other 20 waiting for their reservations, they told us 1+ hour waiting time, no one at the host desk, waitresses didn’t speak English.

    It’s Valentine’s Day and I had a reservation for 7:30pm. Got to the place and by the time someone actually came to the booth to seat us…there was a couple in front and five couples behind us….we all had reservations. We were all told at minimum a one hour wait in spite of having a reservation. That is total B.S. What is the point of a reservation if you have to wait like a walk-in. This place totally destroyed our evening. A manager was unavailable…apparently she was on her way to the restaurant…B.S again… “So sorry” is not the only action to take when you have numerous couples with reservations waiting. This place should be taken off Open Table…

    We had a reservation at 7pm and it did not matter. All of the tables were taken and they refused to open the second floor. Many people arrived with reservations but it did not matter.

    Everything was good but the only annoying thing is their menu online didn’t match the menu at the restaurant. Half of the items were not available. That was disappointing since we chose this place because of the online menu. They should update or remove their online menu.

    Cleary new management & chef with new prices and smaller less impressive menu. The staff was nice but the food and drinks were not worth the price increase. This used to be our favorite restaurant. We won't be back.

    Used to love Takara. But, beware, they are now under new management and all of the beloved staff and menu items are gone. It is a shame that the entire staff that was previously there is gone. My wife and I walked in and they told us this, and we walked out and will never return. We used to frequent here 1-2 times a week. Thank you Joey, Anthony, Johnny, Landon, Josias, and Emily for being great people! Hope to cross paths with the original staff soon.

    We were 4 and had a sushi 'boat'. Wonderful arrangement of pieces. We started with miso and hot/sour soups. Terrific.

    The staff and managers made my birthday so special. The food was and is always phenomenal. I've never been disappointed with this place. Manager comes by the table and speaks to you. Very nice experience.

    The restaurant is nice, it has good vibe and style. The attention was splendid, and the food was delicious. They are well located, have a nice view and will be perfect for a casual, business or date meal. The food came at the right pace and perfectly timed. Joey our waitress was very attentive and took good care of us. We will definitely return.
