                                                                  After 20(?) years of using OpenTable and living in San Francisco for over 25(?!) years, this is my first and only review of a restaurant in San Francisco. This is an undiscovered gem. Outstanding service. The tasting menu is top notch. Michelin quality. Go before the hoards discover it. Just go.

                                                                  We ate here to celebrate my husband's 75th. It was perfect. We had the Flower Bread, which was very good. The pita was freshly made, like no other I've ever eaten. It came with the Trio. The Crispy Shrimp was very good. The Branzino fish was excellent, as was the risotto and the cauliflower. Actually, those last two were dynamite. We had the doughnuts for dessert (yum!) that came with a candle and song. We were given Turkish tea on the house. Would definitely go again. Special place.

                                                                  High quality, moderately priced tasting menu following contemporary SF standards concerning ingredients and technique, showcasing Turkish and more broadly Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. Did not love every dish or decision, but did not doubt that it was authentic and intentional! The sheekh kebab option was a pleasantly elevated surprise, as was the "donut" dessert course. The location is a bit funky at the corner of a cramped Fourth due to the streetcar line with a deadend street, but the restaurant inside is attractive and comfortable and the food is worth a visit.

                                                                  A friend and met to catch up over dinner. It was our first time visiting the restaurant. Everything was excellent - food, wine, and service. We will definitely be going back.

                                                                  This was the second time I’ve had the tasting menu and it didn’t disappoint. The wait staff was excellent! We asked about raki and they let us try it before ordering the drink. If you like black licorice, that’s what it tastes like (also similar to ouzo and sambuca). We also had the raki cocktail which was like an alcoholic cucumber limeade; refreshing!
