Tamba Indian Cuisine

Somehow it is very hard to like a restaurant when you are from that nationality. When we dined it was a buffet only for dinner. The choice was good but the food was not that great. I did like the fact that they placed non-vegetarian dishes separately so vegetarians felt comfortable eating there. The ambiance was a little dark and would have loved to hear some Indian music. Finding the restaurant was also hard.
This was my second time dining here in the past year and it was better than I remembered the first time. Go and enjoy if you are in Vegas and have the chance.
It is only a few blocks away from Planet Hollywood on the SAME SIDE. We made the mistake of crossing over and having to double back. This resturaunt is open until 3am! The food is very authentic and I highly recommend the butter chicken! My husband ordered the goat curry extra spicy and loved it! The worse thing would be your attempt at not over eating.
A very good Indian buffet food I have been to in recent times. Food was fresh and tasty. It is also on the Vegas strip and so at walking distance from most casinos.
Went on our last night in Vegas, authentic Indian food. We loved it!
Would go again if we go back to area
Had a really nice meal at this restaurant. Normally when I go abroad, I end up having eating one of the worst curry's ever - bit not here. The food was very good and plentiful. The service was very good and the atmosphere was quiet, but enjoyable. The only negative is that chicken breast isn't used in the curry like back at home, other than that very highly recommended
we are totally disappointed it was our wedding day and the table was not been ready as it was already booked and to be given in nice area but it was not, food was not good service was ok but we really got upset we never want to visit again
Tamba describes itself as the best Indian food on the strip, but it is very difficult to find and the food is mediocre at best. There's nothing I hate more than having my food ice cold, but that is how it was served to us. The server was nice enough to take it back to be reheated, but many of the other dishes were the same. I guess it's my fault thinking that I could get authentic Indian food on the Las Vegas strip, but I will never return to this one.
Food is incredible! The chicken tikka masala is amazing. My 6 year old could not stop raving about the taste and we all know how picky kids can be. Thumbs up I can't wait to go back to try more dishes. If you are new to Indian food you will ask to have (Serg) be your waiter to guide you on this culinary experience!
When I called to confirm my Open Table reservation they said they didn't have it because their system wasn't working properly with Open Table. I had to reserve it again on the phone. A bit annoying. When we got there the restaurant wan only half full so it wasn't a big deal. The food was great. However we had to remind them 3 times to bring a follow on order of raita which they had assured us would be very quick. The excellent food and a very helpful hostess made up for all that and we left happy.
Hidden in the middle of the strip, this restaurant was a great find. The food was excellent! You've got to try the Lamb Vindaloo (it's spicy). Can't wait to go again. Becareful because this place is in the middle of nowhere. Behind a shopping market and what used to be some sort of Hawaiian village.
Service was ok. Once they get you settled they definitely leave you alone however almost takes an act of God to get them back to the table to make sure you don't need anything else.
Delicious Indian food! The flavors in the vegetables were just right!
Service was fair - portions too small for the price; waiter did not want to commit to any suggestions when asked.
delicious food, helpful and attentive staff, a great place to eat!
The advertised price was very different than the actual price. The food was ok and for the price, it was not a sufficient variety. Food quality was ok. So, if you are in real need to have Indian food and cannot drive to other locations, it is ok to have the food here but don't go with high expectations.
Great food on the strip but slightly off the beaten path. I rarely eat indian food, but the food was excellent.
Walking distance from strip, but better options are out there if u have a car.
Excellent Indian food with a very friendly and fun staff
Good Indian Curry
Best Indian food I've ever had!
We had Paneer for appetizer. It was the BEST paneer I ever had. It was soft and delicious. You can tell they must have made it fresh.
Terrific experience. The best Indian food anywhere. I highly recommend Tamba.
Excellent Indian food, beautifully decorated, and friendly staff.
The food was amazing, but the service was very very poor... Price was good.
If you go there dont expect any service, you might as well get up and go to the kitchen and tell the chef what you want.
We've been here several times, and usually try to stop by when we visit Vegas. The lunch buffet is especially good. This time we had dinner. They were out of several of the more popular Indian beers but still enjoyed a good Indian lager that I hadn't tried before. Chana Masala was excellent but cannot recommend the Chicken Vindaloo. It was just unflavorful chicken breast in the sauce, and was not very tender or succulent. We'll be back, and stick to Tandoori Chicken next time.
This is nice place for the people who loves indian food and that is also on the strip itself. The ambience is good for all couples/family. I went there for diner with my husband, and we both liked food specially Vegetable Biryani ... after that next day we went for lunch buffet also, number of items in the buffet are limited but the taste was good. If you are a person who wants to enjoy some indian food in Vegas then this is the best place for you.
Ended up with take-out. Took a while to get but food was very good.
Don't let the location and "look" of this restaurant fool you. The food is fantastic, very authentic and cheap!
An oasis in the cultural desert that is Las Vegas Boulevard
I had high expectations from this place but i should say i was thoroughly disappointed. Being on the strip this was 1 place with poor food quality, and high prices.I would never recommend this to anyone neither would i ever go hear again.

I always visit here when I go. Decor is beautiful, Food is tasty and spicy just the way I like it. The place is usually quite though... you also have a lot of local indian families that go. If you like indian food then this is a place to go.
I was trying to find a nice place to take my girlfriend for her birthday dinner. First, we were looking for a Greek place, but didn't find any with decent reviews, so since we have had good luck with Indian food in the past, I figured I'd scour Yelp for suggestions. I found Tamba to be in the top five on Yelp and found every place in the list to have mixed reviews. After looking at the web sites of the top five, their menus and plenty of thought, I finally decided on Tamba. Since this place is in the Hawaiian Marketplace on the strip, I figured it would be packed. In fact, one of the reviews said to make sure you get a reservation or your wait could exceed two
Great selection and our meal was great, with good service and friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. This place is right on the strip, but you won't just stumble into it, which calms the atmosphere from the bustle just 100 feet away.
Great find in Las Vegas, which has had a lack of really good Indian restaurants in the past. My vindaloo meal tasted very good as did the side of onion kulcha. Don't let the Hawaiian Market surroundings fool you, this is a great Indian restaurant and large number of Indians dining there when I was there confirms this. The service was a little on the casual side, but friendly nonetheless.
Overall, not a place that pops out as remarkable, but the food was very good, and delivered very quickly.
The experience was not very good.
We wanted to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, but there were few things that made our experience unfavorable. It took a long time for someone to take our order. The air-conditioning was not working, and it was very hot. At least, they should have installed a few temporary fans. The light inside the restaurant was too dark. The food, however, was of good quality. I do not think we will every come back.
The food was delicious..As far as the service, they could us some improvement in that category. It initially took about 10 mins or the waiter to come over and inally great us. However he did apologize or the delay. I will definetly eat here again but this time I will know to expect regarding the service..
This is a gem of a restaurant. Not only was the food extremely tasty but well priced and served with enthusiasm.
It's a great place to escape the never ending bustle and hustle of Las Vegas.
We would recommend this restaurant to all and any of our friends.
