Tartan Of Redlands
Always a go to place for nice ambiance and dinner, friendly staff
It was very very busy due to Valentine's day weekend, so service was a bit slow. I wish I had known that the live music was outside and seating was already taken. We couldn't hear the music at all inside where we were. We'll try to go back again and put in an earlier reservation.
Good food, but way too chaotic an atmosphere for our taste.
We came here for our traditional Valentines dinner. This is our 8th year in a row and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This year we brought one of our daughters and our granddaughter. It was just the best night! Loved the food and the music!
Valentines Day dinner was great. The staff worked very hard.
When we arrived the owner said he didn’t see my name/reservation in there system. I had made it approx 45 mins prior and I did get a confirmation back.
We requested in open table to be seated outside to hear our friends band perform. He told us he was completely full outside but could pop up a bistro table for us. We took it and spent 2 hours sitting there, had dinner and drinks.
It was nice that he accommodated us but I am curious as to why he didn’t get our reservation timely, even though I did get the confirmation.
Great service and food!!
Such a great place! Had the filet and it was cooked perfect - crepe brûlée is perfect!
We made a reservation earlier in the day because we wanted to enjoy the group that was performing. We were seated at a table against the wall with a heater directly in front and another heater in front of that heater some feet away. I was told that all other tables were reserved. I said that’s why I made a reservation. I was then told that the other tables were reserved at least 2 weeks ago. Needless to say, we were unable to see the band because of the position of our table. Perhaps we got a bad table because we were not regulars. The entertainment was good, not sure I would go back.
Great food and very attentive service. Highly recommend.
Great steak house. We always enjoy an amazing meal with wonderful service.
Rib eye was a thinner cut than I'm used to but the flavor was extraordinary. Service was a team effort so everything was done in a timely manner. Surprisingly loud. Most of the noise was from the bar, so next time we'll try the other side of the room.
They were really busy. I had my table that was reserved given to others before i got there so they had to get a whole other table ready. They took almost an hour to just to get our order. We had 3 diff waiters come at diff times and had no real clue who was ours and they still took a long time to even bring my friend a coffee or to go bag and told us they forgot. Elvis was pretty good though.
Good, old school atmosphere. Food was good and ingredients seemed fresh.
We had a reservation. Yes it was a Saturday night. That was not the issue we sat down right away. The issue was with the service . Literally took over 15 mins for anyone to ask us for a drink order. This place is known for it’s bar. We were told they were out of water glasses and cutlery. We wanted to put our food order in but we were ignored. It took over 30 mins to get our food once we did order. My steak was cold. Food did not taste good. Will not be going back anytime soon. Service was sub par to say the least.
The salmon with creamy lemon sauce was amazing! Thank you!
Always great food and consistent. Customer service is always the best and the ambience is awesome
Christmas Eve Dinner
Best restaurant in Redlands! Always amazing food and service!
We had a great booth and the food was great. My only regret was not checking the schedule to see if there was a live band. They were great, but way too loud for inside a restaurant where people are eating. There was no way to talk to our friends while we ate. They could turn the volume down by half at least.
Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Had the patty melt and fries. The meat was extremely moist and tasty. Service was great, and the ambience of the restaurant was very reminiscence of old pub type bars. Definitely a favorite of the locals. Will definitely visit again!
Band was too loud we could not talk to each other
Place is very very loud and food is not seasoned at all
The food is good, not gourmet, prices are reasonable, the service is entertaining and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. Overall we enjoyed it. The Manhattan I ordered was one worst cocktails I've ever been served though.
This was our first time at Tartin of Redlands. We had Tina as a waitress. She was awesome. Drinks were outstanding and so was the food! The burgers rocked; so did the soup and Cobb salad. We don’t live close but will surely come again!
This was our first time at The Tartan of Redlands. Our server Susie was excellent with her suggestions and awesome personality! They were very patient with us, as we waited for parents that had car trouble. Also, Sunday night was good for us, since there was no live music and it was a better atmosphere for some of the people in our party with hearing issues. The last hour, we had Jon take over as server, and he was also great! Recommended! Thank you Susie and Jon!! 👍🏼🥰
One of our absolute favorite restaurants to go to for our special date nights!
Great martinis! Highly recommend the pear martini. Food was fantastic and staff super friendly as always.
Our waitress Cindy was a doll, very attentive. The drinks, the food and the ambiance were top notch. One last thing, your top sirloin steak is the tastiest thing ever. Thank you, it was a wonderful night.
Awsome as usual
We had a large group for lunch and had a huge comfy booth to ourselves. Service was excellent.
I love the Tartan! The steaks are tasty, the service is exceptional and the cocktails are the best. I love the energy of the main dining room. I hate the back room, it just doesn't have the same vibe. All in all, the Tartan is an old school classy steak house - never get rid of the red chairs.
Great place to eat
Always a great time!
Fantastic Motown Group and The Tartan is always wonderful!!!!
The Marine Corps regalia made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. The Missing Man Table was a pleasant surprise and was tastefully done.
We sat on the patio at the perfect time with the perfect weather, but saw enough heaters to look forward to the coming winter.
John was professional, knowledgeable and there whenever we needed him. I ordered the 12 oz. rib eye with the intent of taking half of it home, especially after filling up on the artichoke dip, but it was too good to stop.
Met the manager Jeffery, who was very gracious and fun to talk to.
We'll be back.
Great food, great service, had a really good time. Just noisy.
Wonderful, as ALWAYS, except for mosquitos this time! Great food, service, ambiance, LIVE MUSIC!!!
