We had a very nice lunch experience. Food was very good and our server was attentive and helpful.

We came here the other night for a light dinner. The Asian lettuce wraps that I had were excellent. My husband had the carne asada tacos and they were just average. Street corn side dish wasn't good. Our waitress was very nice and efficient but the woman who brought us our bar drinks, definitely had attitude. She rolled her eyes at us when we asked which beer was which as we couldn't understand what she was asking us when she brought the beers over. Between the noise in the restaurant and the masks, it was hard to hear her. No need for eye rolling.

Food and outside atmosphere was good. Service was not at all good. Server never checked back to see how things were. We needed condiments and were never able to get them. I tried to flag him down a couple of times, but to no avail.

Easter Brunch

Beautiful April Saturday lunch on the patio. Portions were a bit small bit the food was good, ambience lovely and the service was wonderful. Creme Brûlée with three types of fresh berries was good. We were hoping for more keto options but maybe dinner will offer such.

My husband had the Kung Pao and he liked it. I had the walnut-crusted walleye. Based on the menu description I was not expecting it to have sauce on it. The kale and cashew salad was more like a coleslaw, with 5% kale. I was not a fan.

I absolutely love Tavern23 and am so glad they have made it through all the restrictions this past year. Their brunch is fantastic and they are one of the few places left that offers bottomless mimosas ($12). My friend always gets the Smoked Salmon Scramble and I usually get the Croque Madame Sandwich (and they never give me trouble about asking for scrambled eggs vs the fried egg!). They offer brunch, lunch, dinner, and a wide variety of menu items - all delicious and at affordable prices. Their cocktails are also great and they are located right by Centennial Park so it's a great date location if you want to take a walk before or after as well. GO! :)

Great COVID protocol but always keep the customers' comfort zone in mind. It's possible to provide safety and confidence without making it seem restrictive.

Business lunch. Good place for meeting, easy parking and reservations for lunch. All basic requirements in my book. Tavern23 delivers a consistent experience.

It’s awesome to see the owner Lou Nanny eating at his own restaurant with his kids! Also took the time to thank us for eating there.

This was our first visit to Tavern23 and so glad we tried them. Service was really great from the moment we walked in the door until we departed. We were pleased with their social distancing plans; everyone was nicely spaced apart. Our dinner selections, Mahi Tacos and the BLT ( with avocado added at my request) were fresh and tasty. Can’t wait to go back and eager to try the lakeside patio.

Amazing Experience as always. It was girls night for of us 4 friends. We enjoyed appetizers and drinks. The food was great. I'm Gluten Free and there's some great option for me. I'd love to see them make the Lettuce Wraps GF in the future. The specialty cocktails are so fun and the wine list has a wide variety. Our host was very attentive, kind and funny. My fiancé and I love this restaurant! Such an appealing menu with something for everyone! Atmosphere is great! Most of the time all employees are very kind and willing to help in anyway!

The prime rib and garlic mashed was delicious, and Megan (our server) did a fabulous job making sure we were enjoying the food and drinks.

Felt good to out dining again! Tables were spaced out and I felt safe and comfortable. Bummer that there was no pancakes or waffles, but the smoked salmon scramble was delicious. Spanish coffee and mimosa was a great way to start Sunday!
