Have been to many locations always have great service. Have been to Shrewsbury location 4 times in last year. Service terrible every time!

Lunch with 2 friends, prompt courteous service, delicious food and a nice atmosphere where we could dine and talk.

Was able to sit at the bar for dinner. Food was ok. Young bartenders not the best at communicating with singles at the bar.

My absolute favorite place to meet friends or enjoy lunch or dinner with my husband. The staff is ALWAYS top notch! Location, parking, staff and menu are FABULOUS!

We had a great time. The wait staff were so kind and attentive, the food was amazing & we felt safe with the current Covid space restrictions!

I made reservations ahead of time as I've done in the past. I knew it would be a little more busy than usual considering it was a holiday but we also came in for brunch on new years eve and had a great experience. From our waitress to the food the lack of professionalism when it came to management it'll be hard for us to want to return to this location. We waited 45 mind for our apps and when they came they were ice cold. The fruit on the kids fruit kabobs were soggy and unedible the breakfast flat bread was over cooked and hard as a rock. I ordered a burger and it was burnt. Sent it back. My father french toast ice cold. Top it off there was a hair cooked into my daughters fish and chips and by that point we has just about had it. Manager came over and made us feel as if we were wrong, and that we should of known it was going to be a wait considering it was a holiday. She gave us a 15 dollar gift card and we used it towards what we purchased over 100 dollars of uneaten food (the apps) she removed the meals but not the kabobs or ice cold apps that went to waist.

We enjoyed a very nice Easter brunch portions were huge and delicious. Service was great as well

We love sitting on the porch part of Tavern. Our waitress was excellent and the food is always good!

I always enjoy this restaurant. The Tavern burger never disappoints . The staff is always welcoming from the minute you walk in the door right up until you leave.

We ate dinner on the patio - a party of 6. The noise level was deafening. Conversation was impossible. Also - we could not hear the server and she could not hear us.

Always a pleasure coming here!! Food was delicious and our waitress was wonderful! Came on a warm night so we were able to sit near the open windows. Felt very safe even during a pandemic.

Service forgot a few things and needed to be reminded but she was really nice and I understand things get crazy sometimes especially on busy nights. I could see she had a million tables so I get it and I’ll definitely be back

My visit went well and had a waitress who was training a new waitress. This went very well and was impressed with both of them.

I always enjoy dining at Tavern in the Square. It's a great place to go with my husband as well as friends. The food is delicious and we love the option to dine outdoors especially during this crazy pandemic time. We're already looking forward to going back there soon.

Everything was great. Had asked to be seated outside in the notes and were given the perfect table on the patio. Food and drinks were great! Service was amazing as always!

I took 4 teens for my daughters 15th bday. It was perfect for all food palates and food allergens and I especially liked all of the gluten free options. Our food was high quality and delicious! Love this place!

Except for the rule that you have to keep your mask on until you have your drinks everything was great. Place was packed . Don’t understand what difference it makes . The food was good and service was exemplary. Trea( don’t know how to spell it) Was awesome. Will be back

Please read full review. 3 stars based on this specific trip to Tavern. We were sat next to door and plastic temp window. It was freezing. Waitress forgot drink placed with drink order and we had to remind after dinner was served. We ordered 3 desserts but were only brought 2. By the time 3rd had arrived, everyone else had partially finished theirs. It was so loud that we had to yell to hear each other. Also would not recommend the st patricks day dessert (ball jar of oero and choc mousse). Awful experience this time which was sad. Especially when you look forward to going all week. Guessing large in part to that it was 100% capacity. First time I had to stalk ppl leaving as there was "0" parking in the entire lot. With that said, glad to see ppl are going back out again and supporting local business.
I will say that 90% of time we have gone, it has been a much better experience. Give 100 for their food presentation "always". 99% of time wait staff is awesome. 99% of time food is good, tasty, cooked as requested. If you have never gone, I would at least give it a 1x try and form your own opinion/review but reservation is EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED especially Fri, Sat and Sun.

We met two other couples and had a perfect table to chat and catch up. Everyone loved their food and drink. Service was great, very friendly and helpful. We will be back again. Very accomodating to food preferences.

The food was wonderful. Had fish and chips and have never seen a fish that big. Our server was attentive and really nice to do business with. I have been there often and never disappointed. Very busy but it didn't seem to effect our server. Would recommend always.

Our server did a good job when she was available. I think she had to many tables to wait on which made our service slow. Our food was good, but the patio was cold & very loud.

We dine at Tavern of the square often. love that it is spread out, staff is always friendly and attentive. food is good and they have done a great job with COVID modifications. love the eggplant sandwich and the salmon!

Awesome location and our waitress was fantastic. Food was great! Great to go to place for lunch or relaxed dinner.

It was a quiet night. I felt safe there when everything is social distancing. That’s why I kept on going back there all the time. The price is a bit expensive and noticed it went up. I am hoping it doesn’t go up too high where people cannot afford it anymore.

My parents took me for my birthday & it was just so so. The server was very nice but not that attentive & forgetful. I had asked for extra ice for an iced tea that was completely melted & never got it. I ordered a Ruben (way too thick cuts of meat) with sweet potato fries & they came out cold. My Dad ordered regular fries & got the cold sweet potato fries. Both were sent back & corrected after waiving the waiter down. My parents wanted desserts since it was my birthday & we ordered 2 (skillet cookie& chocolate cake) My Dad & I ordered coffee. Desserts were brought out with no coffee. At that point I was done asking for something else. Again he was very pleasant when we saw him but the experience was definitely ruined.

When we entered there was no one to serve us which took us about 10 minutes for someone to confirm our reservation. Our waitress (can't remember her name) took time serving us am assuming it's because there were many people and she was really pushing for us to make our orders yet we wanted to take time before we have our main course. The chicken tenders were good we liked them. The drinks were also good we had the cocktails the pomegranate cranberry sangria as well as talk tiki with me which was really good. As for the main course, my partner had general TSO's chicken which was spicy the way he wanted as I had sirloin steak tips which were really burnt despite requesting for a well-done steak. The ambiance is good and the music was good as well. I can go back for the drinks and chicken tenders though.

We had a great meal felt safe and enjoyed ourselves.

Our table was ready as soon as we walked in and we were promptly seated. We were immediately greeted by our server who got us drinks in an instant. Service was prompt and efficient but we never felt rushed. Our dinners were fabulous and fresh. Overall a great experience and we may have just found our new Friday date night spot!
