   We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here. Eggs benedict great! Shrimp and grits nice. Drinks all good. Service friendly and timely. We dined upstairs where large windows made for a bright and cheerful space. The main floor dining area upon entry has a very cool ceiling treatment you should check out .

   Our dinner was a glorious culinary experience from our arrival to the bar for hand-made cocktails by friendly young bartender to our porch dinner and exit with a complimentary red rose. What we ordered from bar: Cosmo & Golden Cage Porch Dinner: Tempest Caesar Tuna Tartar (perfection) Flounder dinner and added crab cakes (perfection again!) Manager came to check that our orders were to our liking- YES they were! Server was nice and efficient but not too chatty. Our food bill did not equal our credit car charge (keep an eye out for that) but our server quickly made the correction. We declined the offer for specialty Bourbon- but appreciated the rose. Loved the decor! Well done, Tempest! Thank you! We will return! XO

   Definitely not what we expected for the price when it comes to service. We were asked to sit outside on the sidewalk and weren’t given the option to wait for inside after asking. It was so windy outside that a menu standing up blew over and broke a glass getting glass shards everywhere including in one of our hands. Felt a little rushed to get us out there. Food was good but expensive. Great some more though! Kinda an overall bummer unless you bring a really positive attitude like we did.

   Dropped in for a late brunch, was glad to find a spot on a busy Saturday. Shrimp and jimmy red corn grits were very good and soufflé pancakes and bacon were outrageously good.

   Thank you to Liz and her staff, especially Alexis, for a truly enchanting evening. This was the perfect spot for an unforgettable first date, he and I absolutely enjoyed every moment there. We started with the Spanish octopus and ceviche, followed by the Koji swordfish and their special that evening, tilefish, followed by two impeccable desserts, the Someores and honey pot de creme. I could not give my experience a higher recommendation. Again, thank you all so much

   Not a great value. Expensive without anything that stood out. Great service. Atmosphere is too loud. Menu choices eclectic but good presentation. Complimentary cognac at meals end was nice touch. Would not go back or recommend and so many other great choices in Charleston.

    An Up-and-Comer! One of the best swordfish entrees in town. Great extra touches, service, and surprises. The downstairs restaurant and bar are cozy, and the upstairs has great views of the Market. Well worth it to have dinner there!

    Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Tempset. I ordered the tuna tartare and a hazy IPA. The tartare was good and tasted like it was made with fresh sushi grade fish. The citrus flavor the restaurant incorporated into the tuna also worked well. The beer selection was also good, and appeared locally sourced. One small negative was the server appeared a tad distracted. The location is excellent and I enjoyed the patio dining experience. I would cone back.

    AMAZING!! Service was probably the best I’ve experienced in a long time. The food was so good. We took advantage of the prix fix menu and it didn’t disappoint. The cocktails are fun and good. I recommend the Harriots. 😊 We will be back!!

    Booked inside Dining, however they consider their patio inside cause it’s covered,it turned out to be very pleasant cause they have heaters outside in patio, our waitress was fantastic, very energetic, funny and excellent at her job..She made the evening because the food was below par.. oysters were very good but the cocktail sauce was from a can and was tasteless..O kick..made the oysters boring.. the shrimp was dirty…we ordered a salad that was 4 pieces of lettuce for 17 dollars. I asked for a side of balsamic vinegar and got red wine vinegar. The sides of potatoes, bok choi and sautéed mushrooms were all saturated with so many seasonings and sauces it killed the Tru taste of the food, Our main course, a $100 Bone In T Bone..medium rare, it came rare and fatty, 15 dollar steak at any good grocery store…had to send it back to cook more, so then it came back medium, very disappointing..the deserts were excellent, ice cream and a small cake, fabulous…353.27 dinner for 2 with 2 gin and tonics and 2 non alcoholic drinks…If you want a great waitress and want to spend a lot of money for sub par food then this is definitely the place for you..Or Not..:(

    There was more pretentiousness than substance at this restaurant. I had very little risotto on my plate. It was laughable. Not one of the four of us felt that we received a nice meal and certainly did not get our money's worth. They gave out "complimentary rolls" which are standard fare at most places. They gave out carnations and brandy at the end of the meal but we would have been more satisfied with good food vs the showy add ons.

    Was sad but still grateful the military discount changed. Had a budget in mind based on the old discount and had to try to play off the additional costs we weren’t prepared for. Thanks for all that you do for the military but it’s no longer affordable for some of us.

    The food and service were excellent and the complimentary cognac with dessert was a nice touch. My only complaint was be seated so close to the bar. It was a little noisy and tight. Next time I go I will request a seat upstairs and I will go back because the seafood was delightful.

    First and foremost, the service was outstanding. The appetizers were Local Crudo, interesting but not very good. We also had the oysters, which were amazing as well as the bread and butter. We had a bottle of the Sancerre and it was a perfect pairing. We had the Whole Fish (red snapper) which was very good. The sides were Fingerling Potatoes and Roasted Mushrooms. Both were just "okay". For dessert we had the Some More. It was delicious! Overall, it was just good, not great. Not worth the price tag.

    Dinner at Tempest was good. We had the crab cake and seared tuna as our mains. My daughter liked the tuna but would have preferred the fish be warmer. Seared is one thing, cold another. Nice atmosphere.

    Food, service, uniqueness was incredible. We just happen to be sitting by a very large group that was quite loud and the music was a little loud, but other than that our experience was fantastic! We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! So, so good!
