Tempo Cantina - Brea
Pork Belly Bites
Pork Belly, Served w/ Honey Sriracha Sauce and Corn Tortillas
This is probably the loudest restaurant I have ever been to. Impossible to carry on a conversation. Great food though.
Really good place! Food is sooo good! But cannot have a conversation unless you really speak up lol 😝 but A1!
Tempo is our go to place for happy hour! Margaritas are the best and always come out suuuuper fast! Service is always great and I can not say that I have ever been given poor service! Everyone there is doing it right!
Loved the ambiance!
The service is better in Downey! We made reservations and it took way longer to get seated. They ended up seating us in the communal area.
really enjoyed myself - I drive by this place often and have never been. Finally went and it’s my new favorite spot. The food was amazing and the drinks were fun... candy garnishes and sauces. Will be going back !!
The margarita flight was great, $25 for 5 isn’t too bad.... food was good not the best I’ve ever had. Definitely EXTREMELY loud.... it ducks because I was literally shouting to talk with my bestie. The table service was great but a little too much. I felt like we were being rushed because they kept coming and taking our plates. It’s great that they wanna take the empty plates away but give us a minute to enjoy our food.
Fun experience for date night! Best of you make a reservation.
Great food and drinks. It’s a great place but it is loud. Be ready to shout if you except to speak to anyone
Hostess was very rude!!!! Very unhappy person. The noise level was ridiculously loud we couldn’t hold a conversation since we couldn’t hear each other. Won’t recommend
Come here during a non busy time. Your food will be plated better and the kitchen staff will pay more attention to how they prepare your dish. Came here on a Sunday and the place didn’t open until 5 min after their opening hours. They sat everyone all at once and although the food came out quick, service was lacking. The food was prepared without any care or attention because they were just too busy cranking it out as fast as they can with so many people waiting all at once. My last visit was way better when I came here around 5pm. Less busy and hectic. Overall, avoid prime brunch or dinner hours and you’ll be fine.
Service was not great. I asked for no mexican candy on my margarita (wheat allergy) and lo and behold it was on my drink. Asked the server for an order of guacamole three times before she remembered it and asked for a side of salsa three times as well before someone brought it. Water was hardly refilled, food is a little overpriced. Enchiladas tasted good. Patio is blaring music at 1:30 pm so it was difficult to speak without yelling at the person you’re dining with. I marked that we were celebrating a birthday on the reservation and nothing special was done because of it. I would’ve paid for a birthday dessert but none was offered. Definitely won’t be back to this location.
Loved everything about tempo
Always a awesome time here
Good but tables are so close together giving you no privacy at all. Not ideal especially on a Valentines date.
We went to Tempo on Valentines Day and it was very busy. In spite of that, the service was very good although our server was trying hard to upsell on shots of tequila. The noise level was high and the tables were very close together. It was easy to hear other parties conversations. The food was very good and the margaritas were even better. Will definitely go back to Tempo.
Always a great experience visiting Tempo Cantina. Love going here! Thank you for exceptional customer service. Can’t wait to be back again!
This place was ok. It was way too loud.. service was fantastic we loved our server Steven. I was looking for a romantic date but the ambiance was loud club music and loud drunk people. Happy hour food was still overpriced for what was offered. Never going back.
So disappointing. As vegans we checked the menu carefully before booking. As we ordered we were informed that the items marked vegetarian actually included beans cooked in lard. The pescatarian was very pleased with the salmon. Carpe diem
Fun place for a casual brunch. American and mexican food options plus bottomless mimosa/champagne options (2 hr limit). Order the short rib wet burrito!
Very happy with the service and the food was delicious
I was very disappointed. Been here when they first opened and they were very accommodating with gluten intolerant diet. They told me the street tacos were not gluten-free. When I was here in the past the chef came out and talk to me both times and told me my options. I had to order the salmon after coming for taco Tuesday. Also it was very very loud in the restaurant area so we moved out to the patio. Then we’re on the patio and they turn the music up really loud. Won’t be returning
Great food and service
Excelent food and service!!! I love bringing new people here!
Great food and drinks, music was loud so it’s hard to have a conversation with people across the table.
Food was delicious servers attentive ambience was great birthday celebration ended with a churro cart on the house thank you
Fantastic food & vibe. Also, the cucumber margarita was epic.
Great customer service, food, and drinks!! I love this place.
We really loved our dinner here, it was our first time. The waiter came to the table right away, and took our beer order, and before we could finish ordering, our beer arrived! We could't believe it. We shared the nachos, which were excellent, and a taco plate, which had 4 tacos that were all excellent! We are looking forward to going back and taking some friends. Want to try the margarita flight, looked great!
Savory dishes and creative drinks certainly lives up to its name, Urban Tempo. Not a place for a meeting or quiet dinner, but I can say the dissonance of happy patrons is magnetic and draws one into lively conversation. An eclectic menu of pork, beef and fish dishes, presented with tasty sauces and fresh herbs, begs the taste buds for a return visit. Our lunch guest, ordered Eggs Benedict, quite appealing and tasty; according to him. Your vision will be drawn to creative wall etchings and modern art. A big WOW on first visit. Looking forward to Feb. lunch date at another location.
Tempo is a great place for a Friday night out with friends. Lovely and noisy! Good and drinks are great. We had cueva and tuna tacos, powpow wings, shishito peppers, birthday ice cream cart and several cocktails. All were excellent.
Consistently delicious food and drinks, love this place!
Great food! Reservations helped a ton as the place was packed. The food was terrific! We especially loved the salmon and tacos. BUT the music was SO LOUD, we couldn’t wait to leave because we couldn’t hear each other talk! Turn it down enough to be able to hear each other and it would get a 5 star!
The food is really, really good. So much to try and it is very tasty. Lilly, the manager, is very attentive and seems to care that everything is perfect. Good experience all the way around.
Pretty good! What else can I say! 👌🏾
Good Bloody Marys. We like the updated brunch menu.
Good is good, drinks are good but we were asked to give up our table immediately after the 2 hours seating limit... Rude!
Was not served food in a timely manner
Biggest complaint was that each persons food came out at a different time, and it was over about a 12 minute span making it impossible to eat together.
