Made an appointment at 8:30 and didn't tell us they needed us out by 9:55. It seemed like they avoided our table with the meat until our waiter said something. We started eating at 9:30. The manager came over talking about how she was sorry and we had to leave because she didn't want to get a COVID violation (even though she was not wearing a mask). We left hungry, unsatisfied, and down too much money for what the experience was worth.
There is a reason this is my favorite place to go! Just had the best birthday celebration there. The manager is a doll.
Have been here several times and the the food is usually quite good. This visit it seemed extra tasty. Everything was cooked to our liking and the Gaucho's were very present with new options. Our server tonight, Kaila, was probably the best we have had at this establishment. She was very friendly and ever present to ask and fulfill our dining needs. She always asked if there were any particular meats that we would like and was quick to make sure they arrived at out table quickly. She was a pleasure and we would be quick to request her in the future.
Unbeknownst to me my party was running 8 minutes late. Not a single person was in the bar/waiting area and the young lady at the hostess desk told me it was a state mandate that I had to wait outside and the policy of the restaurant is that 70% of the party had to be there in order to seat me. 11/15/20 was a cold, windy and rainy night!! Ridiculous. They were expecting 3 people at that time so the restaurant couldn’t have been over capacity. She should have allowed me to sit at the table that had been reserved for my party of 3 or allowed me to stand in the waiting area 6 feet apart from NO ONE. I didn’t say anything, which I regret, to the manager whom came over to our table twice that evening to ask how the meal was. She was extremely pleasant. Our waiter’s name was Alex and he too was extremely pleasant and did a good job. The food and men serving the food were wonderful.
This place is awesome. Me and my fiancé enjoyed our time together there
Spend the extra time and drive to Syracuse. Meats we were served were great, only 2 guys came to our table with meat. All of our sides were cold by the time we were served meat.
Took forever to get drinks and only had one round of meat offered

We overall enjoyed our trip to Texas de Brazil in Rochester. Jed, our server, was personable and attentive and walked us through their covid protocols, as the buffet isn't open now. He also makes a mean caipirhina ;) All of the servers who brought the various meat selections around were lovely.
The food served was tasty - the garlic sirloin was our runaway favorite.
I have to say our check in experience was disappointing. The hostess was cold and almost rude. We arrived on time for our reservation and she informed us we would have to wait outside in the cold until she called for us. I know the waiting outside isn't her fault, but I would have appreciated a warning when we made the reservation. We were seated 10 minutes after our reservation time, normally not an issue, but outside in the cold, less than ideal.
She sat us at the worst table in the restaurant, right in the middle of the bar and the servers' water station next to the dirty bar glasses and garbage (my husband's chair literally bumped the garbage). I asked for another table and she rolled her eyes and said no as she walked away. If it wasn't for Jed turning things around, we probably would have left.
Last, we did indicate on our reservation we were celebrating a birthday, it was on the ticket that was placed on our table when we were seated and no one acknowledged it the whole time we were in the restaurant.
It was very pleasant, everyone was friendly and the ambiance was comfortable. I'm very happy with the experience.
Went for Veterans Day, we were brought 4 meats by 3 servers and that was it. We had to ask for them to come back. Offered 22$ for a pitcher of sangria and charged 9$ on top of that for another “glass of sangria” half the tables were open midway through our dinner (all tables 6 feet apart so every table could be used) so the excuse of it being very busy is not applicable. overall experience I would not recommend.
Reservation at 6:30. Didn’t get seated until 7. Had to stand outside in the cold the whole time. Was told we could wait in car but it would only be 5-10 minutes. 30 is a long time.
The food is served Med Rare. I asked for medium and was told no problem. When we FINALLY had a gaucho stop at our table, the food was rare.
Took forever to get drinks as well. I tried to be patient with Covid but it was bad.
I won’t go back.
Appeared that night that they were under staffed. Meat did not come to our table within the first 30 minutes of our stay. Waitress asked if we preferred medium rare, however all meat came well done. For the price we were disappointed in this visit as it is a place that we frequently go to. Unfortunately after that experience we won’t be attending for a while. Let’s say our Veterans Day dinner was cut short as we decided to just ask for the check and leave.
Thank you for accommodating a “large” group reservation in the midst of New York State covid guidelines changing that day. We had an excellent time and thought the food and service was great!!
A couple came in after my party and I arrived. They were able to get a table before us and we’ve made the reservation weeks ahead of time.
Although our waiter was absolutely great and tried to help us out in every way he could the overall service was terrible. Me and my fiancé were stuck in a corner where we had to wait at least 45 minutes before our first serving of meat was brought to our table and it wasn’t until the very end of the night where we are ready to leave that they started coming out more frequently.
Only go there once or twice a year and always enjoy the meal immensely. Food was delicious. As always. Only reason it isn't five stars is because of the limited buffet bar selections due to restrictions caused by COVID. Will definitely be back again. And again. COVID limitations notwithstanding.
Salad bar situation was a big let down. although I understand the necessity of it, it took me an hour and a half to get two skimpy salads. I would definitely not go back until the salad bar is self service again.

Food was excellent. Service was timely. Even with the current state being in a pandemic, it was a very enjoyable experience.
Our waiter was fantastic but we were there about three hours and the gaucho service was terrible. They only came to our table of two four times while other tables were constantly being served. Our waiter had to ask them to stop by.
We understand it’s a little different with the current COVID restrictions but when another two top has the gaucho service several times (they were there before us too) and other tables keep getting food it is a little disheartening.
For the money I can go to a higher end restaurant and receive attentive service. it is not worth going back
The only thing I didn’t have was my shrimp salad ordered it two times and never got it overall everything else was great
No mask enforcement. Many patrons walking around without masks.
Went in for our anniversary, this ga are different with covid but it was still great. Great service and great food, loved it as usual and will return of course!
I love the service and we enjoyed the food. I highly recommend it to my friends and family.
Everything was great, the server was nice, the bar drinks took a long time which was frustrating. But otherwise, everything was delicious.
Nice. Due to COVID, table seatings are awkward. Server asked us to pay bill instead of usual “take your time” or “no rush” Food was great.
Good food. Service was a little slow. It does seem the price is a little steep but I know the experience is part of the price. I’ll be going back when I can afford it.
Waiters would walk past the table and not come back, drink order was wroung and it took a long time to get the check.
This is our 4th time here and the service was very slow. We went from having to wait to be seated to having to wait at least 15 minutes to get drinks and silverware. Our salads and the meats all came at once and it then we would go 20 minutes before we see anyone again. We usually have a few drinks with dinner but the server never even came back to ask if we needed another. I also did t feel right about the meat being cut on the table where people can breathe on it, it didn’t seem right. We probably won’t be back any time soon.
We have been to similar restaurants and had a much better meat selection and had the table visited much more frequently. There were long periods of time when wait staff would walk past the “green” card with no service. Definitely not with the price.
Our reservation was for 8:45 so with it being that late the food wasn't hot, they ran out of the cheddar biscuits, the fries . The food was mediocre compared to previous times when I've come earlier in the evening. But the waiter was very nice and prompt.
Excellent meal. Difficult during Covid. They handled it great. Our server Mercedes was outstanding. The manager, Essence, made sure we had everything we needed.
I was pleasantly surprised that they didn’t take our temperature as we walked into the restaurant. But was also pleasantly surprised and disappointed that they had us select what we wanted from the Salad Bar, I had guests with me who when selecting their orders would have only choose one, so they could have a little bit of everything and not feel bad about sending a full plate back that wasn’t finished. Even though the server was very kind and understanding it just felt wrong.

The server with the meat didn’t come to our table even though we have the yes sign on our table. About five kids of meat didn’t come to our table.

My husband and I went for our anniversary. Unfortunately my husband is having issues with gluten. We asked the waitress if she knew what was gluten-free she did not but went and got the manager. She told him what he could and couldn’t eat it was great!
I am happy to see everything is running smoothly again. Kudos to all staff and manager.
Unfortunately the covid rules have hurt this restaurant.
The staff is very over worked as each waiter had to cover so many things for each table.
Our experience was a bit frustrating.
We only saw the meat carvers come to our table maybe 4 or 5 times with long waits in between.
We were not offered the mashed potatoes and bananas as it looked like every table around us was.
The waiters were too busy to come by and offer you another cocktail.
Sadly I won't be returning till things open up more as this was not worth the over $100 bill.
