Texas Jacks Barbecue
First visit Happy Hour was amazing. We will definitely be back!!
My friend got 3 sides and liked all of them
Decent bbq spot. Took over 10 min for the waiter to bring a menu. Sparse attn from the waiter all night. Food was decent but not outstanding. Fried chicken sandwich was great. Smoked chicken just so so. Good for an in and out spot and kidfriendly.
Short rib and brisket to die for
Absolutely amazing food. Nachos are phenomenal! A must go!
Fantastic evening. Fantastic food.
Service was ok. Casual place.
Good food, but kind of pricey for what it is. Cool ambiance. Average service -- our waiter kept recommending the most expensive items on the menu to us.
Party of 8 - when making reservation one question was are you celebrating, which we were. No type of recognition made on the part of TJ. So I wonder why that question was asked.
Service was pretty slow, we had to speak to a manager.
Food is good, a bit pricey for bbq, but good. The food being good is why we had TJ cater our daughter and sons baby shower this past June.
Texas Jack's used to be the spot wherein I would go for BBQ. But lately, the food quality isn't worth the commute from downtown DC, the money, frustration and disappoint. Appetizers arrived at the table lukewarm. Sent them back to the kitchen. Returned to the table a bit warner. But not hot. Same temperature with the entrees. Sat idle for 15 minutes before a server came over to take a drink order. Refill arrived at the end of the meal. Never offered BBQ sauce. Walked over to an empty table to retrieve the BBQ sauce. Restaurant wasn't busy; in fact lots of empty tables. This experience explains why the food I've ordered through Uber Eats was cold. It left the restaurant lukewarm. So when it arrived at my home, it was cold.
The brisket was really salty and pretty fatty. I loved the ambiance. Maybe I'm spoiled from living in Georgia for so long, but the food was just generally okay - not impressive. Definitely edible, but I wouldn't go again.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding! A little pricey but the food was worth it
Texas Jack's has solid bbq, great wings, and an AMAZING value for happy hour
Good food - ala Carte pricing - side dishes expensive
The wings are amazing. Smoked meat combo was okay and the multiple flies hovering around the table was a turn off for the meal.
My favorite BBQ restaurant in the NOVA area—all the smoked meats are great—brisket and pulled pork are my favorite. Excellent potato salad too.
Well worth visiting, fabulous food and great service
I can’t wait to go back!! The pulled pork sandwich was delicious! Ordered several sides.... non disappointed.
Wonderful location for our LARGE family gathering! The meat platters and shareable sides made it easy and very efficient to feed all of us and they had something for every taste, even our picky eaters. The brussels sprouts were absolutely to die for! The dining area is spacious enough to accommodate those in our party with mobility issues and they were even able to fit all of us at one long table.
We were excited to have a meal at Texas Jacks BBQ after reading the reviews.....however, we were very disappointed.....my wife's ribs were cold and chewy....my eggs were ok but small portions and the gravy for the biscuits and gravy was so so....Hardees gravy is better (sorry)...my son did like his chicken and waffles.....the rest of the meal was average...at best......
Had a great BBQ rib eye. Really delicious. Melted off the bone.
We take all of our friends to Texas Jacks! Not only is the food fantastic but the service is outstanding. From the free valet parking to the best BBQ in the area, this restaurant is a keeper!
Oh we loved it. We had the 87 Cutlass Nachos with Brisket.. It was so delicious. I had the Jack’s Mule and the Key Lime Pie. I would go back in a heartbeat!
It was a bit loud for my taste but it wasn’t too bad once you got used to it.
The food was excellent...I had the brisket burrito and the Brussel sprouts
The beef rib there is excellent and on par with the best churrascarias.
The food was amazing. Neat little
Restaurant. Good service.
Great vibe and food - perfect for BBQ on a summer day!
Best brisket ever! The food was amazing & came out fast, the server was nice and kept on top of refills. Overall best meal we had in Arlington!
We come here often for brunch or dinner, especially if friends are visiting from out of town. On this trip we came to watch the Women’s World Cup Final and it was a great call! The food is always good, the servers are friendly and responsive, and the drinks are terrific!
Good value and good. I've already recommended Texas Jack to coworkers and friends.
The barbecue was low on Texas-stlye flavor and the price paid was grossly inflated.
The orders where not properly taken food good but medium
The beef ribs was very delicious. Overall was very pleasant experience with my family. Everything we ate was flavorful. Highly recommended!
A gentrified bbq place. Food was good but not great bbq. Portions were below-average. Staff was friendly. Waiter brought us water frequently, however was too quick to ask for our order. The food tasted good but it was not authentic bbq and was slightly dry.
Best comfort food in Arlington!
Good place to bring young kids as well as grandparents
Outstanding BBQ, very quick service, cold beers. Great atmosphere.
Very good food. Manager was awesome. Really took care of us
We have been at Texas Jacks a number of times over the years and I think this was an off night. Service was slow and confused ( the restaurant was half filled ) our Brisket had so much fat that it wasn’t editable, unless you enjoy fat. Has a great Bourbon collections and weak old fashions, oh well. The nachos are excellent. We haven’t given up on TJ and look forward to a better experience next time !
It was good. Food and service
The spicy meatball Bloody Mary should have a meatball garnish :)
